I'm having hamburgers for tonight. No McDonald's or Burger King, but real burgers where you make them at home.

The weather today in NorCal is great after a miserable day yesterday.

I was going to ask you Jo and Angela if you are planning on going to the California State Fair? The weather will be great next week and I can't wait to see the exhibits and animals at the fair. I still can't wait when Cal Expo will get DCA CALIFORNIA letter signs one day. Too bad that it won't be up during the fair.

Bret, I've been thinking about making some burgers at home as well. I have several kinds, there are the skinny patty melts (made with turkey) that Fran won't eat. I love my beef burgers that I add bacon to, and then there are the ones with blue cheese mixed in. I'm the only one who likes those as well. I think we need to have burgers next week. I already have the tater tots in the freezer!

Tonight is sausage and peppers with rigatoni, but I'm getting this confused with the what's for dinner thread!

No State Fair for me this year. I've spent way too many years at the State fair for 4-H and FFA with our kids and others so I'm kind of enjoying this break of not baking our brains there for a week. We are going to the Mid-State Fair (Paso Robles) next Friday to see Alabama then heading to Pismo Beach for the weekend.

I'm getting my new Escape on Monday night.

I can totally relate since my cousin's husband is a chef and is always putting his stuff on FB. It looks and sounds so good, but I'm not the best cook in the world. Tonight is Tri Tip , salad and brocolli.

That sounds good to add bacon and blue cheese in the burger. I just use ground beef and then add salt and pepper to the ground beef. I like to cook it on the grill then the stove. Burgers and tater tots sound good next week.

Yesterday weather was bad, but today was really nice and I thought about going today. But I am planning on going on Wednesday since it is quiet on the weekdays. That is neat that you are going to another fair. Hope you have a great weekend.


I don't like the NY Yankees, I am a basketball fan and like the Sac Kings. But the owners (Maloof Brothers) need to sell the team since they are ruining the team.

Weekdays are better to go, so much more quiet.

I prefer to attend the games , than watch. The last Angels game I went to was when I was a kid.
