Dr. J says we can't think about what we should have done and all we can do is move forward. What was meant to be was meant to be.

He's right. Crap's Grandpa was living with his mother when he had a stroke. She was even home but did not find him right away. The brain damage he suffered was bad. He's still alive but requires round the clock care. Half the time, he does not even realize his caregivers are his daughters. Even if you were with her, there is no guarantee you would have been there on time to help her. There is nothing more you could have done. You are a great friend.

Thank you Kim, I don't do DL

My Dad said he will never do it again after our last trip there. It really took a lot out of him. Someone an into him very hard and his hip hurt for weeks.

Sorry for stealing last from myself over and over again. If there is a way to quote multiple people on this app, I have not yet learned how to do it.

It has nothing to do with not liking it. I have always enjoyed DL

I'm glad you enjoyed your day at the fair Bret. I can tell my DH is missing it a little so I'm sure we'll be going again in the future.

We're heading to see Alabama at the Mid-State Fair tomorrow and then going to Pismo Beach. Let the weekend begin.:thumbsup2

Nice road trip for the new ride.

Very nice new car. Hope you enjoy your road trip.

Thank you. It's really difficult, we knew better and still let her go there, but what could we do? :confused3

Yeah, I might not have even checked on her before I went to the Chiropractor because we tended to let her sleep in, so even if she were still staying with us I might not have known she was on the floor, besides we have no idea when she hit the floor. I think the hemorrhage had started days before she moved in on her on. I'm going to try not to feel guilty because otherwise it will consume me, but I wish there was more we could have done. Like forcing her to get the head trauma checked out instead of just letting her say she was going to be fine.

If I know anyone in the future who suffers head trauma, they will be badgered with this as an example as to why they need to have it checked out!

I was not guessing your reason. I was just mentioning another person I know who claims they do not/will not do Disney. If I had more money, I would go all the time. I am glad you like it. Unlike my Dad, you may return someday.

I had a pretty calm day. Hoped to go for a ride but never did. I have to work on my brakes but can't find my owners manual. Weather turned out to be overcast in the late afternoon which made a ride sound more and more appealing. Oh well.

DS was supposed to finish a book so we could drop it off at the library when in town. Instead he went outside to build a jump for his RC car. Unfortunately this was right before I was going to take him to a free ice cream event. So we had a little chat about what would happen and what he need to do on our return.

Had our ice cream. Would you believe free ice cream does not mean short waits? Did some shopping. Mde some stir fry for dinner and did the school work and reading.

You sound like an excellent father, Matt. I have two brother-in-laws named Matt (who are also great fathers). Must be the name.

We've attended two ice cream events. One was free for members. The other was one where everyone had to pay. They were both crazy busy. Go figure. People like ice cream.

I know what you are going through Alison. My deepest sympathy to you, Fran and the rest of her family. My family was in same situation with my grandfather a few years ago. He fell out of bed and had banged his head very hard and he was in a coma. He couldn't talk to anyone and he was barely alive. We did summon all of our family members and friends about my grandfather and got a chance to say goodbye to him while at the hospital. It was very hard to take him off life support since there was no way he would recover. I still miss him every single day as he was a great grandfather. I knew that we all had to move forward and continue with life.

You are really a lot on your iPhone tonight Kim? Are you away from your CPU?

Looks like you had a very decent day Matt.

So your DS likes to drive RC cars?

Getting ready to go to bed. Daily activities are seeming to be more work than normal. Geez I never thought letting her move out would be deadly, I thought the worst would be something like a hip fracture. Who could have known she had a blod clot on her brain stewing. This is more awful than I can imagine.

It was an ok day. But no rain and no real outside play for me.

He likes it. He also has a go cart which wins out some times over the rc car. At his mothers a motorcyle that he uses on the weekends with her. I told him he can drive a car at our friend ranch and he doesn't seem to believe it.

It was really cloudy this morning and it did sprinkle for awhile until it cleared up later in the afternoon.

Your DS has a very interesting hobby. Is he considering racing as his hobby?

Have a good night Alison.

Alison, my heart goes out to you. Take one day at a time. :sad1:

Kim, I knew you were using that as an example. I am afraid that DL wont be in my immediate future. The reasoning is very long. Lets just say that I am not allowed to go there, and it is nothing I did, I am not banned from the park. So if we are able to go to WDW when we can afford to , that is just fine with me.

You two have great days together! I just love hearing how you two intereact with each other. You have a great relationship.
