Like ships in the night.![]()
Your right, we do sail alot, so ships in the night sounds right.

Moms pump and store. The traveling is temporary. Will you find a better job elsewhere?
Our dates may overlap yours, I think we'll fly to WDW on 10/30/13 before the 11/2/13 cruise. The kids want to hit Discovery Cove 10/31 and the MNSSHP on 11/1.
I hope the ideal job comes up for you.
I actually posted an update on my PTR last night, I'll be there sooner than Destination D. It's actually a couple of techs who are cleaning up my computer, I downloaded their application and it let them have access to our computers and they can take them over and delete all the malware and stuff that has taken over.
I wasn't shopping at the thrift store, I was dropping off stuff. I had to go to the grocery store twice because I forgot the tater tots.![]()
That said, I have another interview tomorrow with an ins company. We'll see how that goes.
It seems alot of the good jobs no longer pay well. I sit and cringe, thinking I would not want to work for min wage. By the time taxes are taken out , and getting gas, there is nothing left.
I have a friend who is in pickle. She is a teacher at a private school. It has daycare, then nursery school then K-12. So far she has done a nanny share with some friends. The problem is when her kid is 5. She gets a discount on tuition, but still the part she has to pay digs way into her net pay. So the kid could go to school with her, into day care, into class, into day care and home with her for a big expense. Or the kid can go to public school for free, and daycare after, but the drop off will be a problem. What I think will happen is this kid will go to his Grandma and she will take him to school and maybe pick him up, and they will save lots of money.
Good luck. Hopefully it will include a stationary work position.

Hope you get a poker gig Kim. A SAHM friend of mine gets some money for playing poker on line. I don't know how she got this gig but there was a group that needed someone to hold an extra hand in the game. They are paying her for her time and she doesn't fork out any money for the pot. It doesn't pay much as she says that she only needs to play for about 6 - 10 hours per week. But it pays enough to keep her in coffee and cake.
Tell her that I will help her cover that job if she ever needs to take some time off from it. That would honestly be my dream job. How awesome that she lucked into that! My Dad has bankrolled me in live games a few times. I just do that for fun though. We've never won or lost much, so I just tell him to keep everything. It is his money. I've never played live with my own money other than penny poker games with family members when I was still a kid. I usually won more than I lost even back then.
Good luck. Hopefully it will include a stationary work position.

Too many service jobs that pay just over minimum wage.
And here I am just hoping to find a job I don't loathe at minimum wage![]()
Maybe you could take on one child part time, that way you are still at home, and you wont be putting any money out for gas.
Well, I'm going to a "hiring event" downtown at a bakery tomorrow, so we'll see. I have to print out my resume before I go to bed, otherwise I'll forget.
I have a feeling you will be working at a bakery, so maybe this is your big break. If I take the crazy training job (which I doubt I will), I may have to look you up while I am in your lovely city.
Do you mean a child that is not mine? You lost me with this comment. The only people whose kids I would ever consider watching are people I would never dream of charging, like mine or Crap's siblings' kids. There is almost no way I would do it or want to do it on a regular basis though. My kids drive me crazy enough. When my sister's girls spent the weekend here, I about killed myself. Plus, her older daughter eats a lot. I would really be broke if she stayed here often.
