Hi Bret. Glad you're home safely. I hope the trip worked out for you and your DB/his GF.

It's Thursday here and my SAHM day. So life's pretty good!

Hi PiO. Thank you. The whole trip worked out really well except for bringing the remote control to my DSLR. Got some good pics with the new lens and filter. Got to go on all the rides that I wanted to do this week.

Fine, just waiting to hear you made it home safe!

I'm home safely and on my CPU instead of my iPad which I was a lot.

My High School was , shall we say snobby

Sadly, the new migrant girl was not well received at mine. In hindsight, I don't really blame them. They all had been friends from kindergarten days and had all gone to primary school together.
I would have coped if I was just ignored and left alone but a lot of them were mean.
Still, I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for those experiences.

I'm interested to go to see how they are all now and where they've all ended up. At the last reunion, most of them had not changed one bit.

Next time....if you forget your remote control, try the 2 second delay on your camera.

No matter what you forgot, it still is appreciated in the pictures you took!

If the people at our school didn't like you , you got all kinds of garbage, and ignored for doing things in class. The only fun part of it, the school is on a hill and around graduation time kids would get cases of oil and put it on the hill. The buses could not drive up the hill. The girl across the street took her dads car on that day, needless to say , he had to buy a new car.

I have more fun at DH reunions since his cousin and his wife all went to school together. I don't always hear about mine as I left school a year early to start business college.

Hi Dana!

Welcome home Brett!

We had a houseful for dinner tonight.

WOW. Expensive case of oil. Wonder if the dad complained to the school?

Next time....if you forget your remote control, try the 2 second delay on your camera.

I did try the 2 second time delay without the remote or tripod since I was using the tripod for the video camera. Some of the pics turned out fine while most of them were bad. I thought about trying the 2 second delay on my DSLR with the tripod. I'll have another shot of the firework trails with the lens and filter during the October trip in a few months.

Thank you Jo. Hope you will like these pictures when I post them on my TR.

I don't know what good it would have done. On a certain site, made a mention of how they sat on their street, which is a hill going up the opposite way from the school , but see clearly, how they watched the kids put the oil down, it is still the tradition to do.:sad2:

I enjoy all the pictures you guys post. Its my way of living through them.

Okay folks. Need to canvas some views....

School reunion. Go or not?

Points for consideration:
  • I was horribly bullied and teased at school.
  • I don't have any 'friends' from this school that I keep in contact with.
  • I would like to go purely to see how everyone turned out. Not sure if this is a good enough reason.
  • I have gone to the last two reunions and the clique-y girls are still clique-y.
  • $25 for a drink and finger food. I may only stay 20 minutes or so....
You could tell them you've formed your own cliq and gone out of your way to bully other people who were horribly bullied at school as well.

So they were a wonderful example.

Do they still do it?

We have a couple of schools around here where the Year 12 students go on a destructive rampage every 3 or 4 years. The school is one of those "exclusive" private schools and I'm sure they do try to keep the students in check; but I guess if there are a couple of trouble makers in the year, they just go all out.

Guess it happens everywhere. :rotfl:

Yes, it happens every where. I won't say the name of the school. Some one one here may have gone. If they read this they will know.:lmao:

 did he say why? Glad all the kitties came home.

He doesn't know and yes, I am glad to have all the kitties back!

Oh no!! That's really sad to hear! :sad1:

Skiboy! How are we going to keep in touch? :headache:

You're going to have to join FB!

It is!

What happened to Matt?

He got banned from the boards....PM me if you want anything else....

I closed mine, to much of where people are all the time.

You can hide anything you don't want to see, and don't have to accept friend requests....I have so many of my friends updates hidden because I am so sick of seeing their updates about Six Flags coasters or their liberal agendas, not that I have anything against liberals....

I don't know what to say...I went to my 5th and 10th reuinions...I missed the 20 somethingth and was really upset. I wasn't bullied, I was in band and speech and debate, but didn't keep in contact with anyone. I had a great time at the first two except when I found out about my friend who was HIV positive. However, we are sstill FB friends and he seems to be doing good, so things are OK. I would really like to go back to my next reunion because A LOT has changed since then, I am with a woman and in a much different situation than the last reunion.

I would say that if things have not changed a lot in your life it may not be worth it, however, at $25, that's pretty cheap to go find out how much the others have lapsed. For our reuinions it's like $100+ pp and for us it requires a flight or 350 mile drive so that's a big consideration.

It's up to you, but definitely report bak on what you choose!

Good evening everyone.

Just got back in Sactown and I am beat after driving for 7 hours.

How is everyone tonight?

Glad you made it safe!

Like I said, if you are interested and for $25 that's not bad for curiousity. Here they do a whole dinner thing, plus we would need to travel back to Cupertinoish area from Long Beach so it's quite trip. I WILL make my next one becuase I'm interested in running into who ever is left. I've changed milstones since the last reunion I attended. I sent a pic for the last one and then canceled, it was Fran and I on the Queen Mary fone or a Titantic Dinner, so everyone knows about us, but now they are curious!
