Yes to everything but the Dr's. I thought for sure I would have at least 2 kids by this point in my life and instead I like them less everyday. LOL I told my parents that they better enjoy my dogs because that might be the only "grand" anything they get from me. I'm also getting to the point that crowds really bother me! I hate going shopping on the weekends because the stores are so crowded. Geez, I'm not even old!

Me either, well not that old. I'm 38. :goodvibes

I didn't use to see a Dermatologist or ENT doc but they've been added to my 'payroll' recently.

I have an optometrist, dentist, periodontist, internist, ob/gyn, dermatologist, ENT, chriropractor, and physical therapist. Sad, really! lol

My boss jokes with me that the healthier I try to get the more doctors I end up with.

You're not old, just wise. ;) I have some of your same issues, but actually the older I've gotten, the more I like children, and I have more patience than I used to have.

The older I get:

The more I dislike children, especially the small ones in restaurants

The more I say "what?" or "stop mumbling" or "speak up" or "please enunciate" it's all those concerts my parents warned me about:lmao:

The more I say "I don't know, I just work here"

The more I say "order pizza, I don't care"

The more I say "Dinner? You are on your own"

I too have a Dr. an Orthopedist, a Physical Therapist, an optomotrist, a chiropractor, a Gyn(note, no OB in front of her name, that means dealing with small childen and we now avoid that at all costs

I broke down and bought one of those days of the week pill holders, I hid it in the bottom of my cart and then under the TP at the check-out.

I double check that I have girly pads and not Depends in the cart

The more I like road trips, without the family

The more I dislike school events, open house, parent teacher conferences, "festivals" and the more I love the day school starts.

The more I say "ask you father to help, I'm tired"

I agree with a lot of these, except for #1 and #2.

I like children even more. But I don't like their parents. The children running around out of control aren't that way just because they're children. They're that way because they have parents who don't know how to keep them under control and teach them proper discipline.

And for #2, I love being up high, seeing the world!

1. The less tolerant I am of the noise children make.
2. The less tolerant I am of telephone intrusions, especially telemarketers.
3. The more I want to stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet.
4. The less I want to go shopping.
5. The less tolerant I am of stupid things some people do.
6. The more I enjoy going up north camping in the woods where the only sounds we hear are the birds singing and the breeze in the trees.
7. The more medications I have to take.
8. The more I hate cell phone abuse and lack of cell phone etiquette in stupid people.

the older I get:

the more attention I pay to the ads for anti-aging in People magazine, and the less attention I pay to Matthew McConaghey's abs

I'm getting aggravated at how many pairs of glasses I have. I think I'll consolidate and just do bifocals and be done with it

My hearing is shot. Shouldn't have cranked my headphones all during my twenties and thirties

I am old in some areas.

I like little kids less.
I have more Dr's. Well if you count the Dermatologist and all of his time spent trying to erase time on my face.

Everything else, still pretty young, or actually getting younger. I went through a stage where I just wanted to be home. Now get me out and about on the weekends, I want to be in the middle of the action.

The more I actually like the History channel and movies that win Oscars:lmao:

:thumbsup2

I was going to comment on the same thing. I am far more irritated by parents who choose to their children to inappropriate places when they are too you. Far more irritated by parents who DO NOT disciple their children and allow them to act inappropriately..

Dawn

Honey you are a child!!!!

I have towels older than you.

When I was younger I could never understand how my Mom would say at night "no I don't want to go out I don't want to get dressed again" I always thought you would stay home just so you don't have to get out of your sleep wear and get dressed! Wow not me.

Now I understand perfectly.

Agree with the list except I haven't needed to add any DR's, actually got rid of 1. Don't need an OB any more that has been permanently corrected.:thumbsup2

Yes, the older I get the less patient I am but the less likely I am to care about things that don't affect me or my family directly.

I still find babies and children adorable but don't want them ANYWHERE around me. Mine is older now and I'm OVER that stage! :cool1:

I realize I was a complete DUMMY for years! :lmao: Oh to have the 19" waist with the mind I have now... ::sigh::

And the older I get the less I care about the inane whinings of young people. Like my Dad always told me "KEEP ON LIVING".... I didn't get it when I was young and dumb but I definitely get it now. Things that would send me on a tizzy years ago aren't even a blip on my radar now.

Believe me, bury your child, both parents and most of your family in less than ten years and all of the issues of the world will all of a sudden seem absolutely miniscule.

That is the blessing of age and wisdom. :thumbsup2

I agree with them all. Except the children, I quite like some, usually not the well behaved ones either, what's up with that?

Not that I don't like and appreciate the well behaved ones, but those ones with the knack for getting into kiddie trouble, love 'em.

I'll add one:

The older I get, the more I like spicey foods.

I spent my first 45 years totally avoiding spicey foods, now I can't get enough!

The more my taste in music changes ;)
The more I appreciate my DH :lovestruc
The more I think about "the grim reaper" :scared1:
The less patience I have for immature people and liars
The more I love to be home alone
The less I like to cook

I still like the little ones, especially babies...I also like handing them back when they start to fuss.

Have to say I'd still stop for Matthew McConaghey's abs.

I find I don't give a flying...about what other people think.

I also tend to lose my train of thought and forget what I went into a room for...

....what was the question???? ;)

The older I get...

1. The less tolerance I have for stupidity.
2. The more angry I get at inequality.

I'll stop there...

The more I think about "the grim reaper" :scared1:

That is a sore point, especially with my grown children. They have it in their heads that everyone is going to die except me. I hope they are right on this one, but I doubt it.

It is lonely when you don't have anyone to discuss this topic with and it is a real, sometimes scary, topic. We all have to come to terms with our own mortality, it's important, but no one wants to hear it.

I am in the process of moving to another state and I was commenting to the movers that there was way to much effort involved with moving and then I jokingly said that the next time I move...I will be the one in the box. His reply, even though I don't know him at all, was...don't say that...it might happen. Well...Duh! Of course it might happen. In fact it is likely to happen. Why can't we speak about it.
