Is the MNSSHP worth it for two adults to go to or is it more geared for kids? We will be honeymooning October 10-17th and wondered if we should get tickets for this event? Can someone tell me what it is?? Thanks!

Hey, everybody,
This is my first post -- we're planning a mid-October trip to Disney, but have some questions you may be able to answer. To what extent does Disney do Halloween? My kids get freaked out by it, so we're a tad concerned the way Disney does things. ... Also, what's weather like in October -- we considered the free dining in September, but WE DON'T LIKE RAIN! Is it worth going in Sept.?

thanks so much,
Steve/ Mass.

First of all, :welcome:!!

This year will be our 1st Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party, so everything I know is from accounts here on DIS, and details on previous years' parties on various other sites. However, I have read EVERYTHING I can find on it! :lmao: If you are concerned about the scare factor, my understanding is that you needn't be. This is a VERY tame Halloween party, indeed. :) Trick-or-treating and dressing up for the young and young at heart ;), special fireworks presentation and, from what I gather, a fantastic special parade! You can find all the details in this thread: click here. Take a look especially at the 1st post in it, which includes links to details on previous parties and the suspected dates for this year (not yet confirmed by Disney).

Happy planning, and welcome again!! :cheer2:

Please add us for 10/17-10/28...AKL 10/17-10/20 & Offsite for the remainder of our trip. I'm sure this will be the longest 6 months ever!! Hope to see lots of lime green during our visit!!!:disrocks:

we're going earlier than planned. we haven't booked it yet but we're going from 22nd october to 4th october :cool1: my fourth time!

Carolyn,
Thanks for the nice welcome!!!!! I feel right at home already ... we're going mid-October ... deciding between Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian. Both beyond our budget ... but we've heard such great things about both. I love advice -- so any tidbits you can toss my way I'll gobble up!!!
