Well, like I thought, after I made those meatballs for DH to feed the kids this weekend, all they ate was pizza. SO, we'll be having spaghetti and meatballs tonight. Maybe whip up some garlic toast as well.

Tonight we're having the big salads. :thumbsup2

But what makes them so good is this combo: sprinkle in some pine nuts and canned mandarin orange slices and use Lite Raspberry Walnut dressing. Those things together make it very tasty. I tasted a salad like this at a Publix grocery store cooking demo and it was great. We might have some cheese toast with the salad.

Smoked sausages with sauerkraut on wheat rolls and pasta shells with a 3-cheese sauce on the side. :sunny:

While watching our Saints playing in the Superdome tonight for the first time since you know what, the "K" thing, it's gotta be beans & rice dawlin along with leftover gumbo from yesterday!!

GO SAINTS GO!!!!! :cheer2:

I was thinking of making Glynis' Ranch Potato Salad - but what section of grocery store will I find real bacon bits??

Sorry, I've never used them before... :confused3

Real bacon bits are with croutons and salad dressing.

I saw Racheal Ray make a lasagna with ravioli one day this week on her new show. Has anyone ever tried this? It looks like it would save a lot of time, just wondering how good it is!! :confused3
I tried it and it was delish! Very easy and quick to make, too!

I just laughed at myself over this. In my head I was saying exactly what aisle at Dorignac's they have these. Then I remembered I'm is MS now. Shoot. Hormel sells these. Look by the pre cooked bacon and you SHOULD find it there.

I find them in the section where the salad dressing mixes are. They are either in a jar, or in a foil bag. Of course, you could make your own, if you wanted. I never do. The premade ones are too easy!

We are having the baked chicken reubens tonight. I know that my kids will hate the sauerkraut, so I'm doing half with and half without. I'll steam some broccoli and make a noodle dish to go along with it. I can't wait!!!

So, I caved and bought a few grocery items because I'm already sick of the chicken. Tonight we're going to have Turkey burgers on the grill and my aunt's cole slaw.

Aunt Niennie's Cole Slaw

Package of cole slaw mix
1 can of water chestnuts
1/2 C. sunflower seeds
1/2 C. Craisins (dried cranberries)
1/2 C. real bacon bits (yep, another reason to find them in your store)
1 bottle of cole slaw dressing or you can make your own. I prefer a more sweet dressing, especially for this recipe.

Combine and enjoy. It is my favorite!

Tonight we're having Porterhouse steaks, pasta shells in white cheddar sauce, some kind of vegetable and maybe a salad.

Everyone's been raving so much about Glynis' Pot Roast that I've decided to make it this week. I can't wait.

Tonite we are having stuffed peppers and mashed potatoes along with some kind of veggie.

That is what I did too and it came out perfect. I gave the recipe to a co-worker who was gonna make it this weekend and I can't wait to see what she says.

BTW, I was reading the October issue of Better Homes and Gardens and they have a whole section talking about pot roasts and also several recipes. I had to laugh cause nothing can be easier or tastier than Glynis' recipe! :thumbsup2

Well, my co-worker made the pot roast and was raving about it, too. Glynis, you rock! :thumbsup2

Tonight will be 5 cheese lasagna, Garlic bread and either Salad or spinach

I love stuffed peppers..My mother always hated rice so we always had them with macaroni instead of rice.
