*sigh* I fell last night and am really sore this morning. I am so glad I don't have to cook tonight. We are having leftover spaghetti.

WFD at your house?

Are you okay? What happened?

Leftovers here tonight too. We have chili leftover and chicken leftover. Something for everyone.

Yeah, I'm ok. Just a little bruised, stiff, and sore.

I have a walk-in shower. I was giving it a quick cleaning job. I have a hand-held shower head thingy and I was rinsing the floor off. I dropped it and I was leaning over to get it. Well I was sitting kinda half on the bathroom tile and half on the slight incline of the shower. (in my wheelchair of course) I leaned over a little too far started to fall so I caught myself on my hands and was about to work my way back up (kind of a lost my balance kind of thing). Anyway, my wheelchair had other plans. I didn't have my brakes on and the center of balance must have been way off. My chair ended up going forward and I fell smack down on my footrest and got wedged.

My husband was in the shower in the other bathroom. I had semi-screamed when I fell and he didn't hear me. When he opened the door he yelled, "You ok?" I, still wedged and now crying, "Help me please!!!" He comes running and gave me a hand. Lordy, I have no idea how I got wedged, but wedged I was. I scraped my back on my footrest getting myself out.

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I type this. I'm not really hurt, it just scared the padiddle out of me.

Thanks for asking Mermaid. Sorry for such a long explanation :)

Hope you're feeling better Lindsay. Rest up today. Good thing you don't have to cook tonite!
We are having spaghetti and meatballs, caesar salad and garlic bread!

That would be scary. Thank heavens your husband was home. I think he should clean the shower, no wait the WHOLE bathroom from now on. :thumbsup2

Seriously, you better rest and take some advil today.

O Lindsay I hope you recover quickly. Thanks for all the work you have put into this thread I am always coming back to it for suggestions. Hope the bruises go away soon. :grouphug:

Lindsay, big hugs :grouphug: ~ I'm glad it didn't turn into anything major and I hope you won't be too sore today! :)

As for dinner, I'm making beef stroganoff today ~ not sure about sides yet. :sunny:

Lindsay, I'm glad you are alright! I hope you aren't too sore today too.

Mosmom, sorry to hear about your garage sale! But you have a great attitude about it. :) Hope it goes well this weekend.

Dinner? I have a steak thawed. Don't know about anything else!

Steak with garlic and herb butter, corn, zucchini/squash/onion/green pepper/mushroom saute

Lindsay - I'm so glad that you are ok! What a scary thing!!!!! I second having your husband clean the shower from now on!

For dinner tonight we are having Chicken with Creamy Gravy and lemon linguine.

Lindsay, I'm glad you are okay.

We're having an easy dinner tonight. I'm planning sloppy joe's, roasted potatoes and something green.

Tomorrow night we're doing Taste of Norman. Our town's high school music programs sell tickets for $15 and area restaurants set up tasting booths at the local university. The whole $15 is divided between the schools because the restaurants donate the food. The schools make lots of money and it's really lots of fun. We get to try lots of yummy new things.

I think I'm going to make roasted chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy..After I paint the dining room

That's ambitious! Want to come paint my house? :)

Last night's dinner was really gross. We had to work late and so just stopped for some takeout sandwiches from Panera Bread. Maybe we ordered wrong but they were just ooky. Not recommended.

This is my first time on this thread--glad to hear you're doing okay after your scare, Lindsay. My sciatica was acting up so badly last night--I stayed on the couch because I was afraid if my husband moved AT ALL in the bed, it would be too painful for me. Unfortunately, halfway through the night I woke up and my whole lower back was so swollen I couldn't move and I had to holler for Dh to come and carry me to the bathroom. *sigh*

I'm feeling better todaym, so he'd getting pork chops (his favorite) for dinner as a treat for being so good to me.

It's really the simplest recipe; brown the chops (salt and pepper them) with some oil and an onion, then cover with some ketchup and a can of cream of chicken soup. Sounds kinda weird, but SOOOO tasty over a bed of rice with some fresh biscuits.

He's also getting a chocolate cake. :goodvibes

Thanks for the kind words, but I wasn't rushing. A quick clean up was just a spray and rinse kind of clean, not a down-on-my-hands-and-knees clean. That's what I meant :)

You guys should see me. I look like I've been a car wreck. I am purple!!!!!

glad you are OK. I have taken a break and am finally getting back to cooking again. We are having Red Beans and Rice w/ Pork Chops and Glory Mixed Greens. If I would have thought ahead I should have made corn bread!

DH is eating at church (he does sound) and DS ate after football practice so I'm cooking some Baby Lima Beans mixed with Speckled Butter Beans and I'll eat a large yummy bowl of those.

Lindsay glad you weren't hurt worse, sounds scary!
