Glynis poor Leslie, I hope her ear drum does not bust:wizard:
Olivia still has a horrible cough, the fever thankfully is gone.

Oh, poor baby! Give her a hug from this auntie, and tell her that I say she has to get better right away!

Lauren, Your pm box is full. So here is the message I wanted to tell you.

My heart aches for you right now. If talking helps I'm here for you. I wish there was more I could do to help. Please know that you & your family with be in Bob & my prayers. Please take it easy and let your sweet husband take care of you for a while. Thinking & praying for you during this tough time.

Sheryl

Kathy, Thanks for the prime rib recipe. Where do you buy yours?

I've bought them at Winn-Dixie and my old A&P. This last one I bought from Rouse's. Check the sale ad's everyone should have them on sale right now.:goodvibes

Hi everyone -

Just wanted to let you all know that the friend I was talking about earlier who had a miscarriage was our sweet Lauren. She was so excited about this pregnancy but wanted to have it confirmed before she told everyone. Unfortunately this pregnancy was not meant to be. She & Tom are looking forward to having a baby and I'm sure she'll be back with us when she's feeling up to her chatty self again. Please keep her & Tom in your prayers.
OH my I had a feeling something wasn't right. Oh Lauren I'm sitting here crying for you two. Whatever happens you have each other and Andrew .
Lauren - Clean out your PM's!!!

Don't pick on her!
I would love it. I make the world's worst lasagna and so I seldom out my family through it.

Come on over I'll show you how to make Lasagna. How are you doing your's? Do you like meat or just cheese?

Thank you all so much! You truly are a great group of women...I may be on here more than I thought...good therapy!

I missed the conversation of lasagna but the one on the back of the noodle box is generally good.

I cleaned out my PMs too! I hate to think I am gonna lose something!

Glynis - Love your porn!!!!!! I've seen references to Roast BEAST several times in the last few days, pardon me for being dense but what is it????

Sorry to jump in here.... I always thought the phrase came from the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas cartoon. :lmao:

"He brought back the toys! And the food for the feast! And he... HE HIMSELF...! The Grinch carved the roast beast!"

Yes, that's it!!! DH husband always wears his Grinch pj's to carve for us. One of these years, I'll get him to put on a "fake Santy Claus hat and a suit."

Sheryl – I love the new entertainment center!!

Zipuzee and Nancy – Thanks for the garlic bread tips – I will try it myself in about 20 minutes when the lasagna is almost done.

Funny y'all mention NYD… my in laws may be coming over that day. Our #$&@#$ sprinker system has yet another leak and flooded our yard this week. Will just love that bill. DH asked FIL to come over and help dig up the pipes to repair it. I will need to make something for lunch/dinner, just not sure what. I always eat black eyed peas. I must have those, at least!

I got a food processor for Xmas – have wanted one forever! – and I can’t wait to use it. Maybe I will find a recipe that uses that, since MIL bought me it.

Lindsay – for real, don’t bother asking him for his opinion anymore. Fix what you and Scott want and if they want to eat, they can. I wouldn’t purposely fix things he hates, but I also wouldn’t cater to his whims. Does he always have bad manners, or is the new romance caused him to lose his mind?

Glynis – I love the fondue idea! We are still negotiating about NYE. All of our friends have preschool children (hint hint DH – we’re getting left behind!!) so it’s hard to do NYE. Maybe we’ll stay home, eat fondue, and go to bed early. I love that you set the clocks back. Sneaky… I love it! Yum on the food porn, too.

 Kathy. And yay for staying smoke free right now!

 Lauren. I’m so sorry for your loss.

OK, now I know! Glynis, I def want a pic of Alan in his Santa Suit!!!!!

Thanks lucas!;)

Lauren -- I just want to say  . I am so sorry things didn't work out this time. The New Year is in five days, and with that comes new hope. I hope to hear happier news from you in 2008.

Glynis -- That sounds like a nasty ear infection. I hope Leslie is lucky and the blister doesn't burst.

Kathy -- Congratulations on continuing to stay smoke-free!

Nancy -- That is wonderful news about Timmy. I can't wait to hear about his happy homecoming.

I feel like I am missing someone, but it is time to get the kids to bed. We had a great time at the Nutcracker. We went out to eat after, and I had raw oysters (they were SO good), spicy fried calamari and fried clams. Liam and Caili had a hotdog and grilled cheese. Total gourmets those kids. ;)

Lauren--just wanted to post to let you know I'm thinking of you and sending lots of prayers and hugs your way:hug:

This lasagna recipe was pretty good! Easy, and I'll make it again.

Simply Lasagna

Submitted by: Kraft
Rated: 5 out of 5 by 73 members
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Ready In: 1 Hour 35 Minutes
Yields: 12 servings

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground beef (we used italian sausage instead)
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 cups shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, ivided
1 (15 ounce) container Part Skim Ricotta Cheese
1/2 cup 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (I used 1.5 jars, as reviewers said more sauce did better)
1 cup water
12 lasagna noodles, uncooked

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Meanwhile, mix egg, 1-1/4 cups of the mozzarella cheese, the ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese and the parsley until well blended; set aside.
2. Drain meat; return to skillet. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Add water to empty sauce jar; cover with lid and shake well. Add to meat mixture; stir until well blended. Spread 1 cup of the sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with layers of 3 lasagna noodles, one-third of the ricotta cheese mixture and 1 cup of the sauce. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining 3 noodles and the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with remaining 1-1/4 cups mozzarella cheese and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Cover with greased foil.
3. Bake 45 minutes. Remove foil; bake an additional 15 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting to serve

I also made the garlic bread based on your tips and DH said 'the bread is really good!' so I guess I did it right!

Well, I'm happy to report that Leslie is so much better!!! She says there is no more pain in her ear, and her fever is completely gone!!! Hooray for antibiotics, and the prayers of her WFD aunties!!!

Aimee - That recipe sounds super easy and good, I'm going to try it!

Glynis - :yay: for Leslie, you tell her that we'll always be here for her and all of you!!
