My niece is graduating this evening and the girls are all going. (One is doing a rain dance as we speak, aren't you Risa?) Anyway I think I will just make some egg salad.

Oh I forgot to tell you all that Marisa cooked dinner last night, so now it is official.....she can use the grill :thumbsup2.

You were not supposed to let anyone know I can grill!!! Then I will be expected to do it all the time!!! SHHHHHHH.
Did you tell everyone that I bought you some Rosa Regale?

Good morning ladies!

Lauren - So glad to hear you're doing OK, just itchy!;)

Nancy - Rosa Regale??????? Watch out Buddy.........

WFD tonight is Cajun Chicken Fettucine and another batch of Spinach Bruschetta! Can't wait!:woohoo:

morning all!!

Finally a quick moment to check in----I have to be at Ross' school in 20 min to help with field day....I picked up 4 cases of gatorade at sam's as it is going to be in the high 80's today.

Glad to hear that everyone had a nice Fathers day!!

Lauren- I am sending you tons of PD that all else goes smooth for you over these next 5 days!!

Gretchen- I hope things work out easily for you on the PT for dd.

Kathy- Glad to hear that Kyle is feeling better.....what a game he had!!!!

We had a great weekend away....it felt good to escape for a moment....Ross didn't place, but he had a great time and learned some new moves as well. He is in a new division as he just went up a belt to his green and he is the bottom of the divison age wise...so he really is the low man on the totem pole....the thing is he is a big boy.....4'9" and 105 lbs (he is 10) so he was the second biggest and was paired up with a kid about a foot taller and 60 pounds heavier......from this he did learn that holding your arms up in the air helps when you get the wind knocked out of you, lol...........he will do better next time if paired against this boy at future tournaments as he watched and saw some weak spots he has, lol.

Last night we had his awards night for his gifted/talented classes........he did great....walked away with 7 awards!!
my dfil and martyr in law(errrr I mean mother in law, lol) came as well.....luckily there was not much chance to talk so I didn't have to listen to her that much.............though I did get annoyed when she complained about gradma being so confused and getting up a lot at night...................Ummmm she has severe DEMENTIA.... she is in a strange place and doesn't remember it, from one moment to the other..........

Last night's supper was make your own taco night...............tonight will be something quick and easy for ds early, as summer karate starts tonight and he has double classes so he is gone from 5:30-8pm. (reg class and then weapons)

I am off to school, have a great day all!!!

Morning all! think I'm gonna do breakfast for dinner tonight. Gonna do Glynis Cranberry-Orange French Toast, turkey sausage and eggs.

Wendie - WOW you must be very proud, 7 awards!!:cheer2: :cheer2: Great job Ross!!!!!!!!
Martyr in law - :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm glad that you had a good weekend, you really needed it. And watching your son had to be wonderful.

You have got to be so proud of Ross accomplishments, last night must have been amazing!

So you Martyr IL, ( now I am always going to think of her this way) did not know that dementia is the only reason she is able to rob Mom :confused3?

Lauren -- I hope the itchiness goes away soon. Did the Dr give you any cream to put on it?

Wendie -- I am glad you had a great weekend. You deserve it. Congratulations to Ross on all the awards. You must be very proud.

Martyr-in-Law :rotfl2:

The kids and I are going to the Farmer's Market with my dad today, so WFD will be whatever I find there. I'm not sure how much they will have this early in the season.

Morning Y'all,

Wendie, Wow that is one bright boy! :thumbsup2 Martyr in law:rotfl2: love that!

Lauren, Sorry you are itching, hope it gets better!

Nancy, You made the limoncello cosmos? I must have missed that, with my remodeling price sticker shock!

I think we are probably going to scale down the kitchen remodel quite a bit. Get the fridge problem fixed, repair the damaged wood floors, change the wood to tile in kitchen, change the light out, & the backsplash. Leave the cabinets alone for now. At least until we are sure of the state program helping with the bathroom remodel.

My stomach is feeling icky today probably due to sinus troubles, so I'm not sure what's for dinner. Not in the mood for any meat, think I'll go look up Jenny's spinach bruschetta recipe.

Sheryl

Wendie - I love the MIL designation. Congrats on having a sense of humor through what is a difficult situation. Major congrats on your smart son.

Lauren - I hope the itching ends soon. I'm so glad the doctor was able to give you a shot, maybe you will be completely well by Sunday.

Tonight's dinner is going to be brown sugar pork chops with well....I'm not exactly sure what just yet. I am sure about the pork chops because I'm looking forward to finishing the wine I have to open to make the chops. ;)

My youngest son is having his elementary school graduation today..It's been a rough year for him, between his dad getting sick and us trying to get a handle on treating his ADHD well, he's had a tough time. He can't wait to show off his Dad to everyone.. We are having a cheap easy dinner after. Mystic Pizzas cooked on our baking stone.. I can't believe I'm old enough to be the parent of a soon to be Sophomore, Freshman and 7th Grader.

Jenny, they grow up way too fast, don't they?! You have all had a rough year! Congratulations on the graduation & getting through the year!:flower3:

Sheryl- I forgot to post the cosmo. It was very good, although I found that I enjoyed it on the rocks rather than straight up.

Jenny- I bet that you are looking forward to the summer, aren't you? After the past few months you need the rest and the relaxation that summer brings. Enjoy your sons graduation tonight.

Nancy, I forgot to say to chill your glasses first & that I keep the vodka & the limoncello in the freezer!!:confused3

wellllllllllll, tonight is broiled salmon in lemon juice/white wine/dill and steamed green beans and mushrooms. and maybe some toast.

I started this diet and calorie/fat tracking on Sunday, and while I know it's water weight and fluctuations I got on the scale this morning and it was 5 lbs lighter. It was nice to see. I made it most of the way through a "The Firm" workout last night.....Geesh, I'm outta shape!

After starting this tracking I started looking up the things I love to eat:scared1: and you wouldn't believe it! I've probably been eating more than 4000 calories!

Oh well, I guess I should be telling this to the WISH board, but I know ya'll too well.:grouphug:

I can't keep up with this thread! I just pop in from time to time to say hello and share WFD. Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

We had burritos tonight. I made a double batch of sloppy joes so I had enough to make the burritos. I just add a can of light red kidney beans (rinsed) stir it into the sloppy joe mixture. Then I put the mixture in tortilla wraps and place a slice of cheese on top of each one. Heat them up. Yum. Probably ice cream for dessert. :)

A quick fly by for me. I've to much paper work

Sloppy joes, potatoes and salad for us.

Nancy Hershey is a very funny and sweet dog he is only part aussie (mom) dad was a traveling man. He is very good with the cats I have one grumpy Himi she lets him have it across the face if he sticks his nose in her business :rotfl:

Wendie A huge congrats to Ross what a over acheiver :cool1:

Jenny congrats to your son as well :cool1:

Lori How brave of you to actually count the calories I'm too afraid :dance3: for the 5 lbs that's great. I lose 5 lbs then gain 6 lbs.:confused3

I'm really proud of him..His grades were not great this year, but he spent the whole year spending recess and free time working with special needs kids and the special needs teacher was going on and on today about what a great job he did.

Jenny - Congrats to your son, it must have been a tough road but he made it!:thumbsup2

Congrats Jenny!

Tonight we are having leftover cold fried chicken, cole slaw, pickles, and some bread that my dsis dropped off for me from the farmer's market. It's called "bruschetta bread." It smells yummy. I guess we should get around to eating...
