TigerKat, you and your Mom are in my thoughts.

DH had a business dinner tonight, and I am feeling a little off (probably psychological, as the people in my office are dropping like flies with various illnesses...some of which may be the famous just-days-until-week-long-break-itis that goes around my place this time of year). So, since I was not really hungry I just had a poached egg and a piece of toast, plus a stalk of broccoli. Boring, I know.

Morning all! I want to go back to bed.

Tonight we are having leftover back bean chili and cornbread :)

WFD at your house?

I'm off to drink my Pooh Blend :)

Tonight is easy...meatballs and brown gravy, buttered noodles and some type of veggie.

Have a great day all!

No more cooking for me until after the New Year!!! :thumbsup2 Going out for Mexican tonight, got a gift cert. from a friend for xmas--then we leave tomorrow morning at 4:00 "over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go!" Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year all, if I don't happen to log on before then!

Have a great trip! Happy Holidays to you and your family as well!

Lauren

Today is my dd's 17th birthday... doesn't seem possible. Anyway- she wants to go to Margarita's tonight for Mexican so that's what we're doing!

Hello all! I just happened across this thread for the first time (I'm kinda new around these parts) and I love it. There are some really good recipes in here! I'm glad to say that it's my husband's night to be responsible for dinner! This does, however, probably mean yet another pizza. Maybe I'll luck out and get Chinese instead. Men. :lmao:

nucpharm - have a safe trip and Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Mermaid02 - our babies are babes no more, my DS is 16! Hope your DD has a very Happy Birthday!
:welcome: Robin to our thread. I look forward to sharing recipes with you!

Tonight is easy, comfort food - smothered pork chops and mac and cheese. :teeth:

tonight we are having a salad with chicken. It is already prepped and just needs to be thrown together - I love meals like this.

:welcome:  Welcome! I love this thread, have met some really nice folks and got some fantastic recipes. :thumbsup2

For tonight, it's lasagna for us.

Well, it's a FREEZING day here, today! Definitely a day for something warm and comforting. I'm making a new recipe tonight: Creamy Chicken Stew. It looks so yummy! If it's good, I'll post the recipe. I think we'll have some biscuits to go with it.

I am having turkey pot pie tonight. I made it after Thanksgiving and stuck it in the freezer, so all I need to do is heat it back up.

Just wanted to say that the veggie lasagna I made tonight was the best I have ever made!! :cool1:

I used Ronzoni oven ready lasagna noodles and used the recipe on the back of the box. BUT instead of ground meat I cut up a zucchini, yellow squash, carrot and mushrooms. I sauted them in a little olive oil and dab of butter then followed the recipe on the box. Delish!! :thumbsup2

I am DROOLING!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I am making meatloaf and smashed potatoes tonight. I go through phases where I crave meatloaf. :)

WFD at your house?

*Say a prayer for me today, if you pray. Send good thoughts otherwise. I am not feeling 100% today.

Hey Lindsay, Hope you are ok - Good thoughts coming your way. :goodvibes Hang in there.

Edited to add: Tonight we are having left over lasagna. Since it is just dh and I - we had a big batch to freeze to pop out some other day for a quick dinner.

Prayers said for you Lindsay - hope you are OK.

It's going to rain all day today so I'm feeling like a big pot of beef stew, rice and biscuits! YUM

I hope you feel better soon. :wizard:

Quick question - What does Meatloaf taste like? I had it 12 years ago and it was so bad the dog wouldn't eat it and I've been afraid to try it since. Is it good?
