Looks like it will be raining all afternoon and into the night, so comfort food for us - meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits. YUMMY!

Don't know tonight--still have to go to the grocery store today. Probably some comfort food--it's supposed to rain cats and dogs here today and then get COLD!!! Luckily we're missing the freezing rain, sleet, snow stuff! I think we've angered the weather gods here--70s yesterday and then by tonight it will be in the 20s! All that said, maybe some baked mac and cheese, but meatloaf and mashed taters sounds good as well!

Well I back to cooking real meals today. DH was home from work early and was looking forward to dinner, and was a little disappointed to see leftovers complete with mozzerella sticks and jarred sauce. I felt kind of bad because he was surprising me with tickets to the Hartford Symphony Christmas show and Andy Williams Christmas show. (I know we're odd but we are nostalgic for the shows when we were kids. He had called DD and asked her to get the tickets and told her to get enough so that anyone who wanted to join us could come. She bought two.......)

So.....tonite will be Paulas pork chops for SIL birthday dinner, a veggie, mashed potatoes and gravy. DD is picking up a cake to make sure he gets his plain white no goop inside nothin on top plain vanilla frosted boring cake.

I picked them up from a Polish caterter - another easy on.

Another freezing day here! We'll be lucky if it gets up to the 20's! On top of that, it's a run around day for me, so I'm doing Italian Chicken in the crock pot. The twins have preschool, DD has a violin recital this afternoon, and a Reflections program this evening. I need something that will cook itself without me watching over it! It will be nice to come in from the cold to a dinner all ready to eat. I'll throw together a green salad this afternoon, and it will be waiting for us, too.

I'm not totally decided on what I am makig tonight, but I wanted to pop in and let everyone know that the Morroccan food was a big hit! The tagine was the best dish--I found some harissa in my condiment cabinet and that made it nice and spicy. The bread was a little tough--I am not a good baker, at all--but we ate it anyway, and the carrots were a nice light side to the tagine.

Dinner was so good tonight, I guess I better get back to cooking again!
I also made a turkey vegatable soup for us and to send to my Mom and my Aunt as well as a beef stew in the crock pot, my Mother's request. I used the famous pot roast recipe. I ran out of Italien dressing mix so I used a copycat recipe, it was good.

You were a busy bee today! I take it you guys like Paula's pork chops, they're a favorite here too! Hope you are getting some rest, your Mom needs you to be strong girlfriend so take care of yourself too!

Bell's stuffing. It's my family's favorite.

I ended up NOT making them though. My dh and kids went birthday shopping for me- so they ate out and I had a sandwich with my Mother. Tonight we are eating out (surprise party for a friend).

What are Paula's pork chops?? These are nice big thick boneless chops.

TGIF--It's pizza night here--especially b/c we're having DD's family bday party tonight and she LOVES pizza! Now to pick up some cupcakes at the store--should be homemade, I know, but not gonna happen today!

No I'm here!! Rescheduled my Friday workout to 7 a.m. With the bad weather and all here I left pretty early.

Good morning ladies! It's finally COLD here!!!!!! I'm doing a giant pot of vegetable soup, with every vegetable I can grab in it, also putting a chuck roast in it to make it very hearty. Can't wait!

Mermaid - Paulas pork chops are southern fried, recipe is in the index of this thread. Have a margarita for me! Nope, never mind I am going to make a pitcher of Sangria. I got the recipe from Spoodles last week. YUM!!

Lindsay don't scare us, we need to know these things in advance, so we won't worry!
