Last night I made Lindsay's crockpot Italian chicken. It was sooo good. :thumbsup2

Brunswick Stew (mmmmmm)- no cooking for me since my boss made a big batch to stock his freezer and gave me some! Of course, I would rather he gave me a Christmas bonus for once, but I'll take what I can.

Have a margarita for me! :drinking1 Nope, never mind I am going to make a pitcher of Sangria. I got the recipe from Spoodles last week. YUM!!

All this talk of yummy drinks...it's Friday!!! Yeah! We have been on a Cosmo kick lately...but sangria sounds great!!!

So, I have to tell you what I made DH and I for dinner last night.

We got home SUPER late, and were starving, so I made BELTS. That would be a sandwich of sliced tomato, lettuce, sweet onion, bacon, and a fried egg topped with melted cheese on toasted bread! Not every night is gourmet night at our house.

Tonight it is pouring rain around here, yuck. I'm going to make the baked penne alfredo I posted the recipe for a while back, plus some roasted broccoli, sauteed summer squash, and a smallish rib eye steak for DH, seasoned with this new spice blend I got: Chicago steak seasoning--I have no idea how it is different from Montreal seasoning, but if it is good (according to DH), I will let you know.

I just made sangria, too! It came out great.

I mixed in a 2 quart pitcher - 1/2 big bottle of red wine, 1 can chopped pineapple with its juice, a couple of spoons of sugar and then fill the pitcher to top with orange juice. :thumbsup2

I didn't get to do mine, DS's high school is playing in the semi-final game for state championship in football, he plays baseball but I had to get all the baseball boys to the game, props and all. Your recipe sound awesome!! My recipe for Sangria from Spoodles is:

For a pitcher

1 oz. brandy
1 oz. triple sec
1 oz. lime juice
4 oz. orange juice
fill pitcher with wine!!!

I'm settling down with a big glass of merlot, waiting for DH to come home from work so we can dig into the huge pot of vegetable soup, I may HAVE to have a few more glasses since he isn't getting home until around 10:00

Those BELTS sound awesome! I shared your crispy potato recipe with a lady that works for me, she called tonite and said - INCREDIBLE! I can't wait to try them. Unfortunately DH is finally doing my countertops and finishing my island this weekend, so no more cooking for me this weekend.

This is my idea of a Friday night dinner! We had this kind of thing growing up and when my kids were little. My DH did too, we are Catholic so Friday was no meat so our Moms made breakfast for dinner a lot. He cringes every time I do it, and would prefer anything else. Poor guy willeat anything but I know he shudders at the thought, so I save it for when I have dinner with my Mom...thene we have crepes with butter and syrup.

No cooking last night for me. We went shopping and had pizza at the mall. Got caught in a downpour on the way home.

Morning all!!

Today we are going to the Macaroni Grill (my local fave!). We will pick up a sandwich or something for dinner tonight if we get hungry.

WFD at your house?

We are having the pork chops we didn't have the other night. I'm leaving it up to my dh if I fry them using Paula's recipe or bake and stuff them.

either tacos or BBQ beef. Probably Beef because DH has a huge kidney stone and doesnt feel much like eating and the beef will easier to make and be ready when/if he wants to eat.

Well, today is DD's bday party at Chuck E Cheese--so that's dinner  But hey, I don't have to cook or clean for a party, so I'm all about that! :thumbsup2

Yeah, BELTS are tasty! :)

I woke up this morning with an incredible craving for fried chicken, so that is what I am making. Fried chicken, cornbread, cole slaw, maybe some pasta salad, big fat pickles, and, at DH's special request, devilled eggs. More of a summer meal, I guess, but that's what I want, so that's what I am making!

:bday: to your daughter!

Last night was cold so we grilled catfish on our George Foreman grill. It turned out really good! We had garlic mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans to go with it.

Tonight is oven baked pork tenderloin, wild rice and something else, haven't decided what.

I'm marinating a pot roast with Former Castmember's recipe for dinner tomorrow night.

We're still having the pork chops... but I made dh a pot of venison chili and it smells soooo good! He'll probably eat that, but the chops HAVE to be cooked!!

Happy Birthday to Nucpharms daughter!!! CEC is the way to go...my some loves it there! Hope the party was great!

I hope you like it! This was a favorite of mine growing up...the gravy with the marinade is great on mashed potatoes...let me know how it goes!!!

We will be eating light tonight...we were out doing errands...and looking at puppies. We may be getting a Wheaten Terrier after the holidays...this is a hypoallergenic dog (DFi is highly allergic)...

anyway, I am babbling again...yes, I am the babbling idiot on the WFD board!

We had a big and late lunch at a Chinese rest so if we get hungry, it will be sandwiches...

Tomorrow we are going to the Giants game and then visiting Mom so we will bring her in some food...no cooking tomorrow either (dinner anyway!!!)

Are you feeling better? Can't tell from your posts, you could be really sick and still doing awesome meals. Fried chicken always sounds good to me! :thumbsup2

Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nucpharms daughter!!!!!

Tonight I am making my Ritz parmesan chicken. We will have some Stove Top (haven't had the stuff in forever) and some kind of veggie. I am doing something a little different to my chicken. I found a parm blend that has basil, garlic and something else in it. I thought it would be nice for a change.

WFD at your house?

It's my birthday so we are going over to my Mother's house this afternoon for a seafood chowder and birthday cake! She made a chowder with haddock, sea scallops, tiny Maine shrimp and Maine lobster (2 big lobsters)! Then she made me a German Chocolate Cake!!

My dh just offered to make me some breakfast.... it's good to be me today!!
