Hi All!

Thank you all so much for helping me along with the wedding planning...yes, its all falling into place...yeah!!! I am going to add the link to the dress (I do not know how to post pics). The dress is in ivory and I am going to have the length cut to somewhere in the mid calf. It fits nice and makes me look slim :) .

I am probably going to make broiled fish for me and DS and filet mignon for DF, he won't eat fish except shrimp cocktail. I think I will make broccolini too. I will serve my son some kind of starch on the side.

Sheryl, WW works for me too, well it did, but I thought the SB diet sounded pretty good - DF can't do WW for some reason so we are trying this together. After the first 2 weeks, you can add in some whole wheat stuff and wine!!! Easter is going to be a problem, so I will cheat a little...I am being pretty realistic and only shooting for a 5 pound loss for the wedding. DF wants to lose 30...

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies!

Zilla - I'm so happy for you that things are falling into place. 6/24 will be the big day!!:yay: I too want to see the dress you picked!

Sheryl - we've tried Cafe Zen and liked it, but we like Tennou better. A rack of lamb is not very big - usually 7 or 8 lamb chops in a rack. They come two in a pack. DH can eat an entire rack himself.:rolleyes1 Searing it is just browning it over high heat in EVOO just to seal the juices in.

Steph - have you posted where you guys are staying and more importantly where you'll be dining!!! I know I'm very nosy when it comes to anything Disney!;)

Nancy - I'm not doing the ribs until tomorrow. I'm still a little confused - I see where you mix the honey, vinegar & syrup together and pour over the ribs. Do you mix the sauce after that and then pour it over? I really want this to come out good, so I want to do it right.:goodvibes

Tonight I'll be doing the country fried steak and mashed potatoes that I was supposed to do last night.

Thank you Queen Easy!!! ;) I posted the link...let me know what you think...I am not even going to look at anything else since I second guess myself...I went to the Florist too...we are going to have light pick center pieces that have ecalyptus (sp) in the shape of a heart...kinda like this:

OK, I'll stop posting all these links...I am just getting really excited! Now for the honeymoon! I think we are going to take a few days to go to a B&B "down the shore".

Lauren--the dress is beautiful!!

Kathy--we're actually spending the 1st 5 days in Siesta Key, which is just south of Tampa--aahh a beach vacation!!! And then we're headed over to SSR for 5 days--we didn't make many ADRs this time around, but we are hitting Ohana's, Whispering Canyon, and Chef Mickey's (a tradition before our first MK day). We haven't been to Ohana or Whispering Canyon before--we wanted to try something new and something okay for rowdy kiddos! We also have to eat at Pecos Bill's at night before going on POTC the 1st time--another tradition. I'm trying to talk DH into an afternoon trip to Beaches and Cream--but we'll see.

Hello, everyone! Back at work, so this will be quick. Tonight will be clam chowder-the quick and easy version.

Lauren-beautiful dress and flowers!

Have a great day, everyone!

Thanks Stephanie. Your trip sounds amazing! Are you going to do a TR? I am eager to hear how SSR is...we just bought and that is where we are staying in Nov.

Thanks sj&k!

Lauren, the dress and flowers are beautiful. Thank you for sharing the details with us.

Stephanie, we also have 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon planned for our upcoming trip and like you, it will be our first visit to each of those places. We are really looking forward to it. Also on our first visit list is Concourse Steakhouse. I've heard mixed reviews so I hope that one isn't a mistake.

Zilla - the dress is gorgeous, I love it!!!!!:yay: And the flowers are beautiful. It is going to be such a beautiful day for you and your guys.:cloud9:

Steph - your vacation sounds great, can you tuck me in a suitcase?;)

Stephanie and Gretchen ~ We've only been to 'Ohana once, but we loved it. The food was great and we even got to see fireworks during dinner.

Yesterday I had leftover Velvet Shrimp for dinner. DH and DS went to a hockey game with my DB so I had the whole house to myself. I enjoyed my shrimp and watched all the updated Disney shows on the Travel Channel.

The inlaws arrived yesterday and will be staying for 6 months, kinda reverse "snowbirds". They have a house about 25 minutes from here. I guess we'll be doing something with them for dinner, but I don't know what yet. I hate when I don't know what's going on, DH knows that and he loves to torture me and make me nuts.

Oh Lindsay, how awful & scary that must have been for you. You're lucky to have your Mom able to come and help you.

Good afternoon everyone :flower3: I don't really have an appetite today so I'm not going to have dinner. I'm having a not so great week. :guilty:
Anyway, I'm still planning on attempting to make brioche today and I'm a little nervous but it should be an adventure. :rotfl:

Lindsay - Wow, that's really really scary. I'm so glad you're ok!

Lauren - That dress is beautiful! You're going to make a gorgeous bride.:)

Stephanie - Would you please take me with you? ;) Have a wonderful trip!:woohoo:

Lindsay ~ So sorry this happened to you, but glad you're ok. I hope you're feeling better now. You just need to relax and do something nice for yourself today. :flower3:

Afternoon everyone,

Lindsay that is so scary!!! I'm so glad you didn't have an accident! I'll go post over there to chat more about it!

Lauren, Your dress is beautiful! You are going to look so great! I really like the flowers, very pretty. Don't stop posting the links I know I love looking at all your stuff for your BIG Day.

Tonight is going to be Tuscan Style Beans, Peppers & Sausage. Another twist on Red Beans & Rice Monday. It's an easy recipe, I'll post it later.

Have a great day everyone!

Lindsay--Oh no!!! How terrible. Glad you were okay and now safe at home. Also, glad that your mom could come and help you out!

Lauren--we stayed at SSR last January and really liked it. We must've liked it b/c we bought into it while there--Yeah, it's big, but it's nice. Also, they've just opened the new pool and water play area for the kids. Can't wait to try it out! Oh, and I'd let you know if I was doing a "TR" but not really sure what that is (need to study up on those abbreviations!;) )

Lindsay, How horrifying. Thank God that you are safe. I pray that you will be OK (sane) and that Thurs comes by quickly for you...

Stephanie, I am sorry for the confusion...TR mean trip report. :)

Dear All,

I have no idea how to season the flounder I bought. I think I am going to put it in a foil packet with some butter spread stuff and lemon...what else??? I am lost. Maybe salt and pepper?

TIA!

I forgot to say how good Glynis' recipe Creamy Tomato Chicken was last night. I got it from her website.:thumbsup2

Glad you liked it! I'm back!!!! I'm still getting caught up, but whoa! you guys were chatty!!!

Hey Glynis, I have only one roast to cook. Do I use the same amounts or do I need to half them??

Lindsay, I'm so sorry I was out of town when you had this question. I never cook 2 roasts, always one, but I keep the sauce ingredients the same. It makes a yummy gravy! I'm sure you figured this all out, though!

If anyone hasn't tried Glynis' derby pie yet - it is incredible and super EASY!!!!

Did you have it warm with vanilla ice cream??? I love it so much! My daughter first made this when she was 8, and she was so proud that she could make something that tasted so delicious!!! It's a staple at our house!!

Sure did! There are very few desserts that I really love - I'd have to say that served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it is pure heaven.:cloud9:
