Natty, I have found a pic that a current CP took of the lockers...I do not know if this website allows us to post the names of other websites, but if you want to send me a PM I can let you know the site (it is just another CP message board) and you can see the pic there.

Maybe 2 feet tall and about 12 inches wide maybe. They are not that big at all. I never really used mine with the exception of stashing some alcohol at times

they're the size of the half size lockers from any high school...they are basic. Not too tall...not too big, but not tiny either.

What kind of cookware is provided?

Very basic stuff, such as knives, spoons, forks, plates, glasses, a couple pots, a spatula or two and thats about it. My roommates and I all chipped in like 5-10 a piece and bought a basic kitchen set from walmart so we had extra pots, pasta sprainers, etc.

bump ... this thread is kind of important.
Um .... I'll add ... touch lights. You know the ones that look like big buttons (don't you just love my descriptions!!) ... anyway, you just push it and it turns on. I bringing one and putting it by my bed. That way if I need to get up for any reason at night I won't bug my roommate or stumble in the dark. They need a couple of batteries to work ... but I feel like it'll be worth in the long run.

If you're 21, you might want to remember to pack a bottle opener. (of course, those can be purchased for like $1 at the Walgreens right next door to Vista, so on 2nd thought, you probably don't need to pack one)

We also bought flashlights really quickly....but we were here for most of hurricane season and we had some major wind...but the power was never out for more than a little while at a time...

and we have a cordless phone and answering machine...we don't use the phone too much, but the answering machine is nice when we have packages and no one is home to take the message...and we have some really funny messages from the weirdos at the Price desk saved on there.

I move out in 2 days...good bye Chatham...good bye building 12!

I recall reading something somewhere that we needed black shoes for our job?? Any of this ringing a bell?? Is this for all jobs or for some?? I'm in quick service food and beverage and would like to know cause I can get them now for a good deal.

Yes, some or mostwill need black shoes, but they advised us to wait til we got there to buy them because we will get specific instructions on what they have to look like because not all jobs require the same things. They are very picky.

I was wondering if they supplied things like towles... I read somewhere that they did and I could be wrong... I know this isn't "what to pack" related but I was also wondering if there was a locker room/changing facility with lockers to change into costumes. Is there a place that we can go to find out exactly (and in what quantity) will be supplied in our rooms? Oy I leave in 16 days and I am still not packed LoL

Thanks

~Alicia

Nope. No towels or sheets either. I thought we'd get sheets but oh well.

I have seen a lot of CPers wearing their costumes to work instead of changing there. But I just got here myself so I don't know a whole lot about that yet.

Your Company Housing apartment will not have linen or toiletries provided at all. You will need to bring your own sheets (twin, not XL, and your mattress will be thin, you don't need anything close to deep pockets) and towels.

There are lockers and changing rooms at every work location, and they should be near Costuming. You will see all of this when you take your property tour at your location. Many CPs do wear costumes to work. This saves time in case something happens to the bus, or you're just running late. This way, you know you don't have to waste time with Costuming, and you can just jump into work. You'll learn what's best for you.

Don't worry about not being packed. 16 days is a lifetime. I packed the day before and I had 2 cars full of stuff. When I moved into my new apartment, I had 3 car loads, but I only moved about 2 miles away. We packed the night before we moved and didn't sleep at all.

You'll be okay!

what type of stuff will I need for the classes? Like should I go notebook and paper? composition nb and folder? folder and notepad?? or is something provided?
