The Official "What Is Up With Park Hours on Disney's Site" Thread

Not that I know how accurate it is right now (obviously), but the "Canadian" version of the schedule (here) seems to track shows and parades as well.

I guess one of my most confusing things right now is that the "Canadian" site still has the old hours. You'd think they'd pull from the same database. Hopefully things sync up soon enough, as I have to choose between DHS and AK, Thursday and Friday.

Ok, just read this on another thread, it's in the format of the old official site calendar which hasn't changed yet in Canada.

Be careful. It seems to not match up with the other "official" calendar. See my thread about DHS on 2/12 for an example.

Hi,

I'm a Cast Member and have access to a website for only CM's. I just checked the hours for 2/12 for DHS and it does show that the park closes at 6pm with no fantasmic or EMH hours.
It's kind of strange because all of the other days before and after the 12th show the park staying open until either 7 or 8.

Thanks for that answer. Can you check on 2/9 as well? One "official" site shows it closing at 7pm and the other "official" site shows it as having EMH? They really need to fix these problems (the MK hours that week don't match up either!)

I just called WDW and as much as I hate their automated system it was quite helpful giving parade times and firework show times. When it started it ask what you are calling for today and I said "firework times". It ask what park you want and then what date. You can request another park at anytime and date. After I was done with the firework times I went back to the main menu and requested "parade times". Worked the same way. It ask for which park and what date.

How often does that one update? I'm still concerned that both "official" schedules (disneyworld.com and the "Canadian" version) aren't in sync, and that the CM version doesn't match the "official" one.

And to further confuse the issue, I just spoke with Central Reservations (CRO) just now (10:10am ET) and the lady on the phone told me that the MK hours for Sunday 02/15 are 9am - 12 midnight, with Extra Magic Hours from Midnight to 3am. The Disney site Park Hours webpage is unchanged from my previous posting, saying EMH are 10 - 1am.

I wonder what ToonTown is like at 3am? Think that there will still be a long line to meet-and-greet the Fairies?

I went back to the link I posted, right now at 7:45 PM and see those hours as well!

I certainly wouldn't be heavily relying on anything I find anywhere! Seems like it's best just to have Plan A and Plan B (and maybe C,D and E) and wait to see what it is when you get there!

So May hours aren't out yet?!? And what is up with the new site? You can't see parade, fireworks and Fantasmic times? This is making it IMPOSSIBLE to plan ADRs! Normally I wouldn't worry, but I'm in charge of planning an extended family trip so I need to make ADRs early with our party size. UGH!

This is a problem.

I wrote a pretty nasty letter to Disney about this earlier this week.

I got a call from the internet group and spoke to a real nice guy who listened to all my complaints. (poor fella)

Anyway.. I hope they come here and read these threads, I told them to.
