I was in fine from work today, with the www.disboards.com link. No go at home tonight, still need to use the IP link. But, it is working fine, just a different way to access.

Hi Alex,

Yes, I put both names pointing to the same IP address in the hosts file. No matter I'm sure the DNS cache will sort itself out soon.

7am ET and I still can't get to the boards with links from email or with my bookmark from home. Having to change the codes is really a bug. BTW, the Universal Boards seem to work fine.

I'm still not able to get in the regular way either. I typed in http://198.64.133.85 which brought me to the Disboards home page but when I clicked on links for the various boards I still got the site not found message. I started clicking on different things and the Dreams Unlimited link worked and when I clicked on the newest member the profile came up. Then I clicked on the last thread they posted to and that is how I got in. I haven't been able to get in for 3 days but I was receiving email notifications.

I'm finally back in and i've read all these posts on this thread but I still have a question. Where are the countdowns? All I see for people are "esc" or something like that.

edited to add: okay now i feel like a dork. When my post appeared so did the dates in my post and the one above me. Okay, please forgive me for taking up space when apparently it is me and not the board. I will crawl back to my hole!
