"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I know Jason is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but, why is he confused when Crystal keeps telling him it will not work out between the 2 of them?

He is a "so called" cop  and isn't she the daughter of the drug dealer??? Or is it me that needs some "sharpening" ?:lmao:

IIRC, in the books, she is Calvin's niece. She very well may be portrayed as Calvin's DD in the series, though.

There is another BIG reason why they aren't supposed to be together. but I won't spoil it for you, since you didn't read the books.

niece, dd, in Hotshot isn't it all the same.....:lmao:

yes a big reason. can't wait to see what they do with that storyline in the show!

Seems like you two might be right after all. I completely missed it. I guess I'm too trailer trashy. I thought they seemed normal on the couch. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao:

Franklin is totally psycho -- but don't you think a lot of the "older" vampires are anyway? I think Russell has slipped a cog already and Queen Sophie Anne has too ...

Question: Does Russell know that Eric was the Viking "prince" and that's why he had Talbot show him the crown?

And I so did not want Bill to go find Sookie and Alcide to warn them to get away. Bill's the hero again ... but not when Tara tells her he was with Russell *and* Lorena and bloody-mouthed from their evening meal.

Something that dawned on me. I think Tommy's father uses him for "dog fights" -- that's why he is all scarred up. I'd rather have that be the case than the trailer-trash obvious that I was thinking before.

I can't see how the Pam & Erik selling V for Queen Sophie is going to resolve, and I'm glad! Keep the surprises coming.

Good idea about Joe Lee.........I would also rather that be it than the other. I also never thought of that!

oh and I found the whole Franklin Tara thing hilarious too last night, both dh and I were laughing!

Hey Trubies!!! I'm SOOO glad I found this thread! DBF and I are huge fans of the show AND the books!

Wow that's a good point! I thought the obvious thing...the I think Joe Lee is abusing him. But you bring up a very good point! Interesting....

PS - I don't think Russell knows about Eric yet but he will soon enough and I can't wait to see it!

Could they be displacing some of Quinn's past onto Tommy the whole animal pit fighting plot?
I feel like the are displacing characteristics of Mickey onto Franklin Mott.

Colonel Flood was way nicer in the books he is pretty lame in the series lol.

I was laughing SOOOO hard last night at some of the stuff in the episode I just couldn't help myself especially with Franklin texting.

I don't think Russell connects Eric with the crown either. Russell has been pillaging from humans for centuries. Remember, they don't think of humans as anything more than dinner or items to use for their purposes. Russell probably didn't think anything of Eric. Certainly not enough to keep tabs on him.

Eric hadn't been turned yet. Russell had no way of knowing Godric would turn him later.

When Russell said, "Show him everything," and he mentioned to Eric to please keep his manservant happy, I think "Show him everything" was code for something else. :rolleyes1

Newbies always welcome! :woohoo: :dance3:

I'm not the Welcome Committee or anything. More people always means more to discuss & the thread gets bumped up. :yay: Plus, it's nice on such a long thread to be acknowledged and feel welcome, instead of feeling you have to lurk around in the background. :tiptoe:

I usually lurk on this topic but have to ask, did anyone else notice Sam and his brother watching a nature program when Joe Lee banged on the door. Sam was starting to explain what the cheetah (think that's what it was) was saying...This I found hilarious. Does he spend his free time translating animal planet?

Dang! I missed it. Sam did say once that he needs an imprint of an animal in order to shift into it. Maybe he spends his time trying to figure out their psychology.

One thing I am not liking is how easy Sookie is able to read the mind of the were's...its not like that in the books...she can when the projecting especially hard, but otherwise its a struggle...

DH brought up a good point about the Fae though...think we gonna see that introduced sooner rather than later?

 I too thought it was odd (and funny) that he was explaining it to Tommy.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing about how easily she was reading were minds.
I think the fae stuff is coming too, especially since they showed that glow when she pushed that were

This is what I love about the show. There are so many little gems in there. I can watch the same episode multiple times and catch something new every time!

OK, experts. What is the name of the book series. I have to read it now.

Oh, yeah. Last week when Alcide came in after Sookie had been made up for the were bar, he was holding a frying pan -- after she had given him a hard time about cooking breakfast in a wok. I've been watching this season's episodes at least twice, mainly for dialogue, but also to "look in the background."

The book series is by Charlaine Harris and they are called Sookie Stackhouse books. They all have the word "Dead" in the title.

And as probably already stated, reading them will not spoil anything in your watching the series. They have deviated way beyond the books, but every once in a while something will show up in the series, so you just never know what.

This bothered me at first, but now I like it. It's like more stories about the characters and it keeps me guessing. :thumbsup2

I agree...it was just coincidence that Eric was turned later on to seek revenge! Unless Russell somehow had a hand in that too....for all we know, Russell was Godric's maker and told him to turn Eric. Since this whole plot is different from the books, anything is possible. Either way, as much as I like Russell's character in the show, I can't wait to see him get staked. Him and the Magister too. I hate that guy!

Yeah they were watching Animal Planet! LOL We were wondering if maybe Sam watches so that he can literally shift into anything at anytime. Once he's imprinted on it, he can change to it at will.

That annoys me a little too...I LIKE that the books and the show are different because I don't feel like the show is predictable, but at the same time I keep getting frustrated that things are not the same!

Not sure what's happening with the Fae..... Since they have kind of streamlined the Weres for the series (in the books, Debbie Pelt is a Lynx, not a wolf), I was wondering if they were going to get into the whole Fae thing at all to keep things simple for the TV audience. Although I feel like Niall would be totally BA :rotfl2:

I'm OK with things being different....As long as Eric never asks Sookie to braid his hair like he does in the books, I will be A-OK! LOL
