"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

Went and listened to some of the tunes- I am going to pass. The few on the show were good, but IMO that was about it. Thanks for the link!

I'm more than halfway through Dead and Gone and I'm loving it! I'm actually trying to read it slowly so I can make it last.

I'm still in camp Eric. Dang! Everything about him is HOT!

OK, I received the 1st season DVD on Friday and managed to watch the entire thing over the weekend (I swear, it was like sneaking off to have a drink). I've gotta say that it was really, really good. Where some of the characters were not the same as I had pictured them (which was to be expected) the acting was SO good, the portrayals spot on. Seriously good stuff.

And while I never cared for Bill in the books (even before Club Dead) I can definitely get all of the Bill love after watching Steven Moyer's version.

Plus the music is great (Johnny Cash!). I'm loving this series. I really hope that it keeps on being this good.

Thought I would share this with you all-

I just got The Pyramid Collection catalog yesterday and look what *I* found!;)

BTW- if you have never seen this catalog- it is worth a look! They have really awesome things in it!:thumbsup2

I haven't read the entire sookie series. i only read book 1 so far, i want to read them all, but am debating if i should wait til after season 2 to continue.
i always compare the screen version to the book, and i pictured a lot of things differently in the book as to how it came out on tv, but I LOVE the series, we can't wait for it to start.
its funny, i wasn't even going to watch, then i heard something and started watching season 1 after it had started, but caught up, and told dh, you have got to watch this, now he is as hooked on it as I am.

note to the steven moyer fans.........dh said he read somewhere that the love scenes between sookie and bill in season 2 are extremely HOT :)

TWO more days!

I can't wait. :yay: :dance3: :cool1: :woohoo:

HBO has been showing a "Cliff Notes" version of what happened in Season 1, to get everyone caught up. It's only about an hour. Keep your eyes peeled for it, if you did not watch last season.

I just recently watched the whole first season on HBO on demand and loved it! All I can say is wow, I have not watched a series like that ever! I am now starting to read the Sookie books (as I call them) I am about half way through Dead until Dark and I like it just as well as the series so far. I can't wait until Sunday, unfortunately my mother is coming to stay with us for a couple of weeks, so I will have to wait to watch until after she goes to bed. I would have to explain too much if I watched it with her and lets just say I don't know if this season will be as "hot" but even at my age, I have problems watching that with my mother. Thank GOD I can record it and watch it later.:happytv:

BTW, my library told me they have ordered the first season DVD's when I was checking out the first book, so instead of buying them you might be able to save some $ and check them out. But I bet they will be a hot item, so get your name on the waiting list soon.

No one watched??? :confused3 Have you all been glamoured? :scared1: Do I have to send a search party for all of you? :magnify: Or are we only posting during daylight now, when the vampires are asleep? :tiptoe:

I had a feeling the person in the car wasn't the person everyone thought it was going to be. :thumbsup2

Eric looked really good at the end. :yay: He has to wear sleeveless shirts more often. :faint:

I got a bit tired of Sookie whining.

I have a question: How do you get blood out of the sheets? I have a problem getting it out every month when Aunt Flo visits. There must be a lot of blood during vampire sex. Anyone else think the same thing? :lmao:

WoW!! What a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE difference then the Books..

I do NOT like Jason like this at all

I don't like the storyline with Jason--so far from the books its beyond ridiculous! He seems so weak and easily swayed, didn't have him charaterized as such :confused3

Thought it was a good episode, guess maybe I expected a little too much.

So, um, Eric gets lowlights/highlights? What was the purpose of showing him like this at the end....thought it a little odd.

Okay, on another note, just finished "Dead and Gone", is there another book after this? I'm sure the answer is somewhere in this thread but I am too darn lazy to look for it!!:surfweb:

Or Tara, for that matter... or the Eric that they are showing. Eric is not a sadistic kidnapper. If he's going to kill you, he's going to bite you or tear you in two. He's not going to keep you in a dungeon.

I thought vampires don't grow hair. What's up with Eric's new hairstyle from the previews, too? It's shorter than last year.

I'll reserve judgment on this storyline for a few more episodes.

Dead and Gone is the last book in the series. I'm already hungry for more.

Oh, as for blood and sheets, if you use white ones, you can use a clorox bleach pen and that seems to work best for me, though it doesn't always work.

Jason is supposed to be a hot Cassonova, not a FoTS follower. Is Sookie not going to go to Dallas this season? Or meet, (what was his name... the bellboy... Bradley?)

Talk about kicking off the season with a bang! Great first episode! :cool1:

The storyline is totally different from the books, but I'm actually glad because I have no idea what's coming. :rotfl:

They made Eric a bad guy? No!!!!! DH said he doesn't thing Eric is actually a bad guy, but that is like the vampire prison where they hold people who have wronged vampires since Eric is the Sheriff. I still don't like it. :guilty:

What was up with Eric getting highlights? Maybe that's how they're going to explain his much shorter hair this season? I actually think he looks way better with the shorter hair. :lovestruc

Bloody sheets - yikes! I thought the same thing - how are they going to get all that mess out? :rotfl:

OK, I need somebody to fill me in or at least point me towards a recap.

I do not have HBO and am so livid with cablevision that I'm on the verge of tossing the TV out.

So, somebody needs to at least give me a rundown of last night's episode before my head explodes :rotfl:!

Thank you.

I'm here! I watched! :)

I liked the episode, I also thought that it was not going to be who everyone thought it was in the car.

I think we might be seeing a different side of Sam this season. I haven't read the books yet (my goal for this summer) so I could be wrong.

Anyone notice the cougar/panther baseball cap Jason had on?

I did and thought it was pretty funny..

I have to say, maybe i was expecting to much...but i was a bit dissapointed in last nights show. I was really surprised that they went away from the book as much as they did...and i do not like how they have Jason as obsessed with the FOTS. I thought it was hilarious that Eric was getting highlights, but whats up with the prison??? I really don't like Jessica...
I am excited to see what happens this season.

Loved the episode, I am so glad my free HBO is still good for a few more months! How many episodes are in this season?

I am reading the first book, and glad to hear they show is a little different than the books. What is the deal with those in the dungen turning the wheel? Is there something that tells them to turn it? I am confused by it.:confused3

It irritates me that the show is sooo loosely based on the books. Who is this Mary Anne? Is she a witch?

The only bright spot for me was Eric. Other than the foils, he looked fantastic.

Maryann is the Maenad from the books... Not sure what was up with the dungeon, that wasn't in the books. I was happy that they still have Lafaette around..again different from the book, but i like his character.
The Dallas storyline is good, so i think the rest of the season should be exciting.
