Disney's Racquet Club, located on the Contemporary Resort's North
Wing, is demolished to make room for a new Disney World project. (The
project will be unveiled in September 2008 as Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.)

The Annie Awards are handed out at Royce Hall, UCLA, Westwood, Los Angeles, California. Although Disney's Bolt and Wall-E are nominated, Kung Fu Panda sweeps many of the categories. On a happier note, John Lasseter is one of 3 awarded the Winsor McCay (given to individuals in recognition of lifetime contributions).
