October 1
1971- The WDW officially opens, the following
-THE MAGIC KINGDOM
-DISNEY'S CONTEMPORARY RESORT
-DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN RESORT &
-DISNEY'S FORT WILDERNESS AND CAMP GRoUNDS

1982- EPCOT OFFICIAL OPENS
1994- EURO DISNEYLAND CHANGES IT'S NAME TO DISNEYLAND PARIS!

2001 - 100 Years of Magic Celebration officially kicks off @ WDW, where Share a Dream Come True Parade (which was revised in '06) premieres at MK; Cinderella's Surprised Celebration (which closed in '05) premieres at MK; Magic Carpets of Aladdin opens at MK; the Sorcerer Mickey hat is officially unveiled at MGM; Walt Disney: One Man's Dream opens @ MGM; Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade premieres at MGM; Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade premieres @ Animal Kingdom; and a ceremony is held @ MK's main entrance railroad station featuring Al Weiss and every Disney character imaginable to honor Walt Disney's 100 Years of Magic (although Walt's 100th bday was actually not until December).

2006 - The Year of a Million Dreams officially kicks off at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. At WDW; Woody's Cowboy Camp, Main Street Family Fun Day Parade, High School Musical Pep Rally (now @ MGM), and Let's Have a Ball (now closed) all premiere @ MK.

1983- Ground breaking for Morocco and the Living seas

2006 - The Little Mermaid is released on 2-disc Platinum Edition dvd
- Magic Kingdom opens its gates a few hours early for ONE lucky family, who has the entire park to themselves

1983- "never cry wolf has it's debut in toronto

2004 - Aladdin is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the 4th release in the Walt Disney Home Entertainment Platinum Collection.

1995 Disneyland Park has alink up with Mir Space Station

1998- Buzz Lightyears's Space ranger spin opens at the MK

2003 - The Lion King was released for the first time ever on DVD, and was the third installment in the WDHE Platinum Collection.

1975- "The Best of Walt Disney's True-life Adventures" is released

1988- "Empty Nest"Tv series debuts on NBC (does disney own NBC?)

1989- The contemporary café opens at you guessed it The Contemporary Resort


2002 - Beauty and the Beast is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the second installment in the WDHE Plaitnum Collection.

2003 - A Magic Kingdom press event is held and "Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams" and "Mickey's PhilharMagic" officially debut in a ceremony featuring Julie Andrews and Sorcerer Mickey Mouse!

1942- The Olympic Champ" a goofy short is released

1988- "The magical world of disney " tv series debuts on NBC

2001 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is released for the first time ever on DVD, and is the first installment in the WDHE Platinum Collection.

2003 - A grand opening ceremony is held at Epcot for "Mission: SPACE" and features Disney CEO Michael Eisner as well as famous astronauts.
