As of now, reservations are not being accepted.

I had read in a post somewhere that they will not be taking reservations until January '09. I cannot find that post but I do remember reading it, I believe it was in the dining section of the boards.

Does anyone know if it will be on the Dining Plan?

It's not on the Standard/Basic or Deluxe Dining plan. They will be taking the Premium and Platinum Dining Plans though.

Is it similiar to Rainforest cafe? We have those here in the Chicago area. Also, would you describe it as "scary". My DD3 might be afraid if the dinosaurs are moving around a lot. I hope they add them to the ADR system.

I don't have words to describe how excited I am about this. My 5 yr old DD has been obsessed with dinosaurs since our trip to the Natural History Museum in London at age 2. She's had dino birthday parties for 3 straight years now and knows everything there is to know. I'm going to have to go off the DDP for this, but who cares! I just hope the lines aren't too long....

And the build a dino? How cool is that!

Has anyone tried calling TRex cafe to see if they will take reservations?

I am so excited about this. My son is 9 but has always and still has an intense interest in dinosaurs. He has a ton of encyclopedias and books on them and knows so much about them. We are going in December and plan to surprise him on 12/17 by going here. It looks great. We love Rainforest for the atmosphere and Cocktails , so I am sure we will enjoy this as well.

Yep. Well, the one in Kansas City is anyway (which was the first one) but I haven't been to the Disney one yet. 8 days and I'll let you know! But it was great fun and the food was very good.

The place looks great, I can't wait to take my DD6 next time we're at WDW(which won't be until next August ), but maybe by that time the lines will have gone down!!
