*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

Hoop Dee Doo (I know, not really special but we haven't done it before)

STOP - it is special and it costs a pretty penny. We skipped for 20 years and just did it again with small children last year. Going back this year becuase my DD has no memory of it.

Don't get swept away by the have-to-have-it-all+ tsunami.

They are super generous with the sangria and beer.

What "special" things is everyone doing on their September trips? Debating the Frozen Ever After Dessert party or something similar. No interest in any of the F&W events beyond sampling the booths. I like to have one "extra" thing per trip, but haven't landed on anything for this trip!

We're doing quite a few extra's this trip. We're doing the HEA Dessert party twice, first with the garden view as we've never seen HEA and have read that's the better place to view it, and then the second one is the Terrace view. We're also doing FEA dessert party, Dining with an Animal Specialist, Hoop-De-Doo, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Horseback riding, archery, MNSSHP and Universal Halloween Horror Nights.

I'm doing MNSSHP on 9/3! Nothing else extra planned for this trip, but in January we're doing a family trip and planning to go to HDDR for the first time!

I have MNSSHP on 9/3 and EMM on 9/4. if you see an Asian guy wearing a Batik shirt, that would be me. (Google Batik to see what it looks like ^^). I may do the dessert party on 9/4 but probably not.

I am doing the Parisian Breakfast, HEA after Fireworks party, Keys to the Kingdom tour and the Sleepy Hollow event. Oh and a Mix I Make it seminar. Am also doing at least one if not two MNSSHP

I am doing way too many extras. Three tours (Sense of Africa, Wild Africa Trek, and Aqua Seas), three Halloween parties, two dessert parties (Hallowishes and HEA), and Early Morning Magic. I am going to need a vacation to recover from this one lol
Wow!! That is a lot! I didn't even know they offered a Hallowishes dessert party!

Last itme I checked a few weeks ago, there was still a fabulous Groupon for Manadara spa at the Dolphon.
That's exactly along the lines of what I was thinking! We do already have an appointment at the Yacht Club salon, though. Thanks for the idea!

We are doing MNSSHP and Early Morning Magic. I may book the Wonderland Tea Party as a surprise for my girls because I keep hearing wonderful things!
EMM seems like such a good value with little ones!

Our Sept trip is quick so we just have MNSSHP and hopefully after talking about it on other trips, a night at Jellyrolls. Have you considered a tour? Or MNSSHP? I think it's the absolute best "extra" you can do
Our trip is quick too--only 5 nights! I think that's why it's hard to figure out what to do! Oddly enough, no interest in MNSSHP here! We prefer Epcot or Disney Springs in the evening.

We are doing MNSSHP, Hoop Dee Doo (I know, not really special but we haven't done it before), 5 VIP viewings at all 4 parks including a VIP seat for Fantasmic which we have never seen. Girls are doing Pixar Play Place and the one thing we (Me and the wife) have never done is a date night so we're going to California Grill while the girls are at Pixar.
Aww date night will be so fun! I have always wanted to work in HDDR but I don't think we have time this trip :(

Lots of special events for you guys too! I wish we had time to make a visit to the Fort...

That's definitely on my list!

wow! 4 visits in a year? I just cant lol. I mean I do Love WDW and Mickey is my favorite (got the tattoo to prove it) but I got really burned out on it as a kid and like to keep it a once a year vacation to keep it "Special". But .... I am so tempted to upgrade our 10 day tickets to an annual pass this year. It's so tempting.

Do it! If there's even a possibility that you'd go back, it's totally worth it. Even if you just plan to go next year around the same time. We did our first ever APs after our September trip last year. My DH decided it before we went and had to talk me into it b/c I'm a cheapskate. We've ended up doing short trips in Dec, January, Spring Break, and for our anniversary in June, and will be ending our APs with another big week trip in September. We plan to take a year off and then maybe get them again next September. It's kinda freeing to be "obligated" to go to Disney and get our money's worth out of them. I don't see us doing it every year, but it is nice to be able to go in on your arrival and leave day without using a whole day's ticket or "wasting" money. We've been several times after I get off at noon on Friday and made it in time for the fireworks! We've found a great off-site place to stay so we don't break the bank.

Again, I don't think we'll ever be continuous passholders, but getting 2 yearly trips out of one saves you money AND gives some flexibility to go back on a whim. Not to mention the 20% merch discount, a few food places, and the magnets. LOL :-)

I've never been there before, so it'll be nice to see it. Forgot to say we're also planning to rent either a canoe or kayak while we're there as well. It'll be a full day at the resort for us.

I've never had an AP, but because the way the UK tickets work, we always have way more tickets than we're going to use anyway, which means we never have to worry about wasting a ticket either. I have to agree that it's very liberating. I love being able to only go to see one of the night shows, or book a meal in a park on a non park day, or that we can go to MNSSHP a couple of hours before they start letting people in if we feel like it.

We're doing MNSSHP on 9/18 and I got the Keys to The Kingdom Tour for DH and I for my birthday. We've never done either, so we're super excited!

I loved the KTTK tour :cutie: Our guide was Peter (I want to say that he spelt it different) from South Africa. He was brilliant and very passionate and it was obvious he lost his job.

We have Early Morning Magic on 9/4 and AP events for Toy Story Land and Epcot. We're also hoping to do the Caring for Giants tour. We have more table service meals than usual. Other than that, nothing.

We need a roll call for Early Morning Magic on 9/4!! I know it's been mentioned, but there are a lot of pages on this thread. :D

My daughter, husband and I will be there.

DH and I are doing the SW dessert party on 9/15, MNSSHP on 9/16, Hallowishes Dessert party, HEA Before Fireworks Dessert Party on 9/17, Early Morning Magic on 9/18, and Disney After Hours on 9/20.
We're also doing the Rivers of Light dining package at Tusker House, Fantasmic dining package at H&V, and the California Grill brunch.
Too many extras, IMO, but I can't help myself! I may cancel the Hallowishes dessert party though. Still not 100% on it but I'll wait to hear some reviews before I cancel.

We will be at MNSSHP on 9/3 as well! I'll be Mr. Smee, hubs is Captain Hook, DD7 is Wendy, DD4 is Tinkerbell and DS2 is Peter Pan! Say hi if you see us!!!

Oh! I forgot about the AP event. We fortunately but unfortunately are doing the AP Toy Story event at 7AM the day AFTER MNSSHP! Here's to Disney adrenaline!

I'm doing an 8am TSL event right after MNSSHP. Right now I'm just happy my FPs for that day don't start until around noon. Might have to go back and catch up on some sleep after the event.
