Hi! I finally joined the club.

My wife and I will be attending Disneyworld from Sept 15-22. We are both beyond excited but this will be my wife's first time ever! We will be celebrating a trifecta...
- Her first time (I have not been in 20 years)
- Our 1st anniversary
- Her 30th birthday
I chose Port Orleans - Riverside resort (Royal Guest room) and originally selected the Art of Animation but changed it after seeing all the great reviews. Again, I have not been to Disneyworld in 20 years (just a kid) so I know so much has changed. We were just at
Disneyland this past March so she can really see the difference between the two. Anyway, I made my ADR's for:
- California Grill (at night to watch the fireworks)
- Mama Melrose (lunch but also acquired VIP passes for HS Fantasmic)
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (breakfast)
- Le Cellier Steakhouse (dinner - Epcot)
- San Angel Inn (dinner - Epcot)
- Yak & Yeti (lunch - AK)
- Boma (dinner - AK)
- Be our Guest (breakfast - MK)
Now, I did not book more sit-downs due to it only being us two and do not want to plan all our time by the hour. I want us to explore and see what peaks our interest. I also have made our plans through Touring Plans which helped out a lot. I did not know you had to plan so much! I understand now how FastPass+, ADR's, rope drop, when to go which rides, etc. It is insane! But, I understand it is necessary evil because there is so much to see and who wants to wait in lines in the most magical place on earth?
I am not sure if you know but you can reserve a private boat (just the two of us) to watch the fireworks on the lagoon (MK). I scheduled this on our first night (we do not arrive Orlando until 4:30) and she no idea (do not worry she does not read the message boards). How it works, you have to call Disney (special events or something) and it leaves at 8pm from the Contemporary Resort. They provide wine or whatever and you get a perfect view of the fireworks privately. Very excited for this and her reaction.
Anyway, I wanted to say hi and let my excitement out to you guys (my wife is beyond excited) and planning for this trip has been fun (and a little stressful). I have done most of the planning and my wife is great with it. She gave input on some of the restaurants but she is way overwhelmed. I have read a ton on here and it has helped so much. 72 days to go!
