That is the one I already have, I was hoping there would be something different for the holidays. Oh well!

Here is a picture of the mug from Allearnet.com and on the mug you can see that it says "Where dreams come true." Obviously that is how you can tell they are YOAMD mugs, despite the fact they look like a Christmas theme mug.

Mug ?-- I thought Disney has always used the "Where Dreams Come True" slogan, hence my not considering these YOAMD mugs. I am sureWhere Dreams Come True has been used since before YOAMD.

Dole Whips-- Captain Cook's has them for about $2.79 (I think) and it is a soft serve style dispenser. Go to the cashier, buy the bowl and fill it on your own. :thumbsup2 I was very careful to eliminate ANY air pockets, but not so daring as to pipe it as high as I would've liked. Lest I look like a complete dope. But I made a valient effort.

:thumbsup2 Thank you to Tinknme, CR Resort Fan 4 Life, and Luvamouse for answering my Dole Whip question!

I look forward to having one there during my stay. :Pinkbounc

I am sure you are correct about that, so I guess WDW thought it would be easy to use that statement for the YOAMD celebration.

You're welcome and who knows if we might run to each other at the Poly, since I am goign to be there the same time as you.

If you saw the thread I made earlier, when I checked my families e-mail we got something from Disney Destinations. Anyway we found that WDW upgraded us from a Garden View - Club Level room, to a Lagoon View - Club Level. So not bad for our very 1st stay at the Polynesian which was complete shock and something we never expected to happen.

Fabulous thread!! We'll be at the Polynesian this coming May/June for 6 nights and couldn't be more excited!! We're taking a surprise trip for my niece's 6th birthday, DS for his 3rd, grandparents for their 51st anniversary, mom just for the heck of it, and I'll be celebrating graduation (finally!!!) from the University of Oklahoma!! It will be first time trips for everyone except my mom and me. It will be everyone's first time at the Poly!!
So, this was probably addressed at some point, but I haven't made it all the way through the thread. We were considering lagoon view rooms, but a friend of ours suggested saving some money by going for the garden view, so we did. As far as requesting rooms, which longhouse do you suggest for garden view? I'm already partial to Samoa because I'm half Samoan. Haha!! I know that we're not guaranteed our request, but when do we make it? On our reservation? Upon arrival?
Also, what's not to be missed at the Poly? We're doing the Lilo and Stitch breakfast, and I'm too excited!!
Thanks for any and all info!!

Just jumped in to say GO SOONERS! :cheer2: We are booked at the Poly next Christmas. Last time we were at CBR and had a wonderful time. This time we get the POLY. We're taking our oldest DD,her DH, and 3 children, our teenage twins, DH and myself.

What beverages can you use the refillable mug for? I assume sodas, coffee - How about juices, milk, tea, etc? Lots of different tastes in my family!

You can use them for whatever is at the drink station. Last time we were there. 2000, you could get milk, juice and coffee with breakfast. I'm not sure about the rest of the day. I'm sure someone that has been more recent than we have will know.

When I went to visit Captin Cook's this past August, this is what I remember in terms of the sodas they offer. Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barqus Root Beer, Coke Zero and a few others but I can't remember them. I can get the others ones starting on Saturday, since we are checking in that day to the Poly.

I don't think you can get milk or most juices at the station. There might be apple juice in the dispenser. But there is coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate, ice tea, various soda pops available 24 hours/day.

As I said the last time we ewere there was in 2000,soI know alot of things have changed. When we were there they had apple and orange juice in the dispensers at breakfast.I KNOW they had coffee cause DH tried to drain the dispenser:lmao: Thanks again for sharing the correct drinks, I feel so bad when I give someone the wrong information.

:cheer2: Boomer Sooner!!

CBR was my original choice, but I was just sucked into the Poly!! I never know, now that I'll be entering the "real world" when I'll have this much money to spare again, so I figured we ought to splurge!!! I'd love to be there during the holidays (Halloween through New Year's = my FAVORITE time of the year!!). Hope you trip is GREAT!!

Thank you! We are excited. Haven't been since 2000. Our twins were 7 then. They will be 16 when we go next year. Our grandchildren will be the perfect age though. 7,8,and 10. I just hope DGD doesn't upset her Papa. He soooo wants to take her on It's A Small World! Our twins found it too tame 7. They groan everytime DH mentions taking DGD on it.:rotfl2: This will be our first Poly stay, and are really excited to be on the monorail. We booked way back in Feb. I'm so excited, and it's still a year away!

Oh BTW, I noticed we are neighbors. We live in Lawton. It's always nice to run into a neighbor on the boards.:cool1:

Oh, I will be all over the classics, no matter how "lame." Haha!! I'm definitely a five year old at heart! I know how you feel. I booked in September, but I've been planning since May. It's way too much fun! I'm such a nerd about it all. We have less than six months now!!! :yay:
So, how did you fare during Ice Storm 2007 part 2 (since we had Ice Storm 2007 in January, too!!)? We kept power the whole time, but our cable was off and on. We are currently host to Anadarko refugees who are still without power. Haha!! I love my family, but this is getting to be a little much! :scared:
My best friend from high school lives in Lawton. She was going to Cameron but is taking some time off now. We're there quite a bit, actually. We looove to come down for the Ft. Sill Garage Sales!! Haha!! :thumbsup2

I am a planning freak! I drive my family NUTS! I buy all the books, and read everything about everything.:rotfl: But when we get there, we shall see who knows where to go and what to do.:thumbsup2

We came out pretty good. The ice stuck everywhere, except the roadways. I hear snow is in our forecast Saturday. I haven't been to a FT Sill yard sale since before 9-11. Seems everytime we go on post, our car gets searched:confused3

Haha!! My family does a mental eye roll when I get started! I'm done with finals this week, so I'm off to get some 2008 guidebooks to peruse over the break. Any suggestions?? I've heard the Passporter is good, but I haven't even been to the bookstore to check it out yet.

Yeah, I heard it's coming in Friday night. We got searched once or twice, but they've relaxed the last few years. I always find some great bargains! This year, I even got a WDW picture frame!! I'm sure it cost $$$ in the parks, but it only cost me $1.50!!
