Just subscribing to this thread because this December my family & I are staying at the Polynesian Concierge King Kamehameha Club Garden View room, so I am very excited about that because it will be our very 1st stay at the Polynesian Resort.

I just want to subscribe to the thread, because we will be staying at the Poly for the first time in October! I know it sounds corny, but it really will be a dream come true. I've always wanted to stay at the Poly, but DH couldn't justify the $$$ Well, this year we're celebrating our 15th anniversary with the Land & Sea package. The Poly was one of our choices for resort & DH told me to go for it, since I've always wanted to stay here!! YEA!!!!!

After your stay at the Poly. you might have to change your call sign to
PR Resort Fan 4 Life.

I'm so happy to have found this thread! We will be staying at the Poly this December for the very first time. As a previous poster said, it really is a dream come true. My first time to Disney was in 1975 and I always wanted to stay at the Poly. It looks like that dream is actually going to be realized this December, if only for 3 days!

We have booked a garden view room. We're 2 adults, no kids. Any suggestions of what room to request for the best possible view? Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I love the contemporary myself, last year was the first year i have ever been to Disney and we stayed at the Contemporary. We loved it, and were planning on staying there again in October, but they are booked. So we are staying at the Poly, i am excited!
I have a question, how are the garden view rooms. Are they nice? Spacious? Noisy? Clean?

Thanks!:)

The gardenview rooms are lovely: spacious, clean, quiet and with incredibly beautiful garden views. Ahh!

I just have a quick question about the Hawaii building. Someone mentioned if we wanted a room with a balcony we would have to get a room on the 1st or 3rd floor, since there are non on the 2nd floor. What I don't get is how can there be a balcony on the 1st floor rooms? Isn't that considered to be a ground floor room, so how can there be a balcony there?

We requested a balcony, but you never really know what your going to get until your there? I just don't want to be facing the parking lot.

I know the music from WISHES can be heard at the poly, but what about theother special fireworks? Like Hallowishes, Christmas wishes, and the new pirates and princess fireworks?

We've been there several times during the Halloween parties and have never heard the music from the fireworks.

Is there a certain building in the poly garden rooms i should request? Is one nicer than the other. I have heard a couple of names. Can anyone let me know the difference between the buildings.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. We thought because it is our 31st anniversary that we will try cl.And it looks like we might run in to each other in Dec,(cr resort forever).....

Many thanks to all on this thread. i'm currently on page 36! :rotfl2: Working my way through and then will hit you all with my questions! :thumbsup2

Most GV at the Poly are very nice! Best location is probably Tokelua. The only view I would not want is Rapi Nui parking lot side. Anything else is fine.:)
