I just figured you guys needed a place to post without having to be in the same thread with the rest of us less than perfect parents...Post Away!

My DD says I am (but I know she's wrong)!! We all try, but nobody can do everything right all the time- although my SIL seems to think she does  .

I let my 7 year old have strawberry gatorade and dry froot loops for breakfast this morning, will that make me unwelcome here?

My child was a 'latch key kid' (I hate this term) at 10 and her lunch she packed today consisted of cookies, grapes, cheese nips, and potato chips with a diet pepsi. I guess I am not welcome either.

We leave for Disneyland Saturday, so of course I belong here!! ;)

Now the question is.... Is this thread for parents that are perfect in their kids eyes, or to everyone around? Because, my kids have a tv, computer, playstation, dvd player, vcr, and telephone in each of their rooms. To them, that makes me a perfect parent. :teeth:

Nope. Now if your 7 year old put the gatorade on the froot loops that would make you unworthy!!! :teeth:

I'm doomed to be part of the bad parents club, after all my DD plays video games and we have cable *GASP*.

:lmao:

I use cloth diapers - I was told that makes me ineligible for the Bad Parents' Club...

I guess I can't stay here either.

We are going to Orlando for 9 days in November. But, being the horrible parent that I am, we are forcing our kids to stay at Universal and have to drive to Disney for a few days. Love both Disney and Universal equally, but can't turn down the automatic upgrade to a 1900 sq. ft suite for being a Loews Platinum. With 8 people going, that makes our decision for us :teeth:

:furious: What a horrible parent!

Will you adopt me?Pretty pleeeeeease.....I promise I won't complain even if you leave me at Universal everyday! :cool1:

but by virtue of being on the dis posting at this hour-are'nt we automaticly ineligable? i mean, right now-should'nt we either be homeschooling, volunteering at the school, attending college to become ' perfect kid friendly/parent supporting uber teachers', doing our out of the home or in-home business that only operates during school hours, desantizing the house, monitoring the internet/tv/movies/books for inappropriate content and making our additive free/all natural meals for the family? and if you are posting on this thread and the kids are home-SHAME on you-you should be doing 'well developed, age appropriate activities' or 'having social building playdates, arts enhancing music lesson, self esteem building sports activites...'

I can't be in this club either. Its 11:16 here and the boys are still sleeping. I know I should wake them up but I don't want to deal with the grumpiness.

don't feel bad-it's only 9:21 am here and it's even earlier in hawaii so you're still within acceptable parenting habits :teeth:

you topped off that nutricious lunch with a diet drink...totally unacceptable in my book :rotfl2:

unofficially, I feel "perfect" :thumbsup2

I Belong!!!!! FINALLY!!!

DD told me, "I'm lucky."
I said, "Why?"
DD, "Cause you're perfect."
Me, "Thanks, honey. But no one is 'perfect'."
DD (GRAB THE TISSUES, Moms!), "You're perfect for me."

So what if she's 5? I wish I had a tape recorder so I could replay this when I am the spawn of satan in 10 years.... :confused3

Seriously... dd has been in daycare since she was 8 mos old. I took my first post baby business trip when she was ten weeks - to Japan. Second dd has eaten poison, choked on a cracker I gave her, accidentally gotten a double dose of Benadryl, chewed on a knife on her first birthday... Maybe I don't belong????

:rotfl2: :lmao: I like the way you think Barkley!!

I just brought my girls (6&3) an alarm clock for their room so they can get up without me dragging them out of bed, so I will have more time to make everything perfect. :snooty:

What they need their own thread now? Just crashing into to any and every thread that talks about children to share with us the wisdom of their perfect parenting is not enough?
