Well, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and are now in the recovery period.I haven't read any of the new posts; I'll have to catch up later. Matthew had a great 1st Christmas; he slept through everything. Our 2 year old was a little overwhelmed. My parents go a little overboard with gifts. It took us about 3-4 hrs. to open everything. Unfortunately, my sister and my niece couldn't join us for xmas. They found out on Friday that my niece has RSV. She was born at 36 weeks and since they didn't consider her premature, she didn't get the shot when she was little. Poor thing sounds terrible. So we've been doing Christmas with my sister and her DH in shifts. My parents went to visit them, and then they came back to watch the kids for us so we could go exchange gifts. Kinda stinks, but you deal with the hand your dealt. Hope everyone has a great week! I'm excited b/c DH took the whole week off! Yahoo! I only have to watch one child at a time now instead of two!

Merry Christmas everyone! :teeth: (I was hoping to pop in here yesterday, but the day got away from me.)

We had a very nice Christmas, but it was incredibly busy so I am pooped. :faint: I hosted Christmas Eve and my mom hosted Christmas day. John Paul has decided that he wants to party all night long so sleep isn't something that I get a lot of these past few days. Poor thing is still constipated (TMI, sorry) so that doesn't help. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow about changing his formula to something that will be easier for him to digest. I can't wait until I can get a full nights sleep! The girls slept through the night at 10 weeks old and I just can't picture John Paul doing that in a week and a half. He is still eating in 3/4 hour shifts.

Santa left John Paul a huge stuffed Mickey which I am sure he will enjoy as he gets older. The girls got a lot of American Girl doll stuff, but their favorites were the funniest things. Meagan got a collection of rocks (she wants to be a geologist) and she has been furiously studying them ever since. Katie got an art kit and a little tiny teddy bear which she has been "oohing" over. I probably could have done without the AG stuff and they would have been totally happy. :earboy2:

I went out with my mom this morning and hit the mall to get my cards and wrapping paper for next year. We didn't shop for too long, b/c I am just too tired this year. :earboy2: I should be cleaning though b/c my house looks like a bomb went off. :earseek:

Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas! :sunny:

Alice28 - Sorry about your MIL. Hopefully, she will help you out. Just think, not too much longer until your DH is home! :cheer2: BTW, I love your picture of you and your family! You guys look great!

Nucpharm2 - I'm sorry to hear that your niece has RSV. My daughter had it when she was two months old and it was not fun at all. I hope she is better soon. :grouphug:

Tamie - I hope that Tyler and your DH feel better soon! :wizard:

DisKim - Have fun today! Let me know how you like the Producers. I never saw it on stage, but would love to see the movie!

Lisawynn - I hope that you were able to pick up some great bargains at Target today! I am also in the same boat as you with a January birthday. Meagan's birthday is in January which is tough with more presents coming into the house so soon after Christmas. Glad to hear that Jimmy had a great first Christmas and I can't wait to see a picture of your beautiful bracelet.

Everyone have a wonderful day and I can't wait to hear more Christmas stories! :wave2:

Hi everyone- feeling better today. Shouldn't have whined last night about my MIL. I say the dumbest things when I'm tired and overwhelmed.

We went to the mall today and found nothing really. I'm glad. Gymbo was a bust; only thing I liked was full price still and no thanks to that. Bought DH two ornaments at Hallmark. Victoria's Secret doesn't seem to carry the scent I love so much anymore. Darnit! Got some pampers, clearance lights and the Toy Story 2 DVD at Target and since I had a store credit there, hardly paid anything. And got my dad a gift card for a fishing license, since today is his bday.

I need to clean my house! The upstairs bathroom is esp grody.

Glad everyone seems to have had a nice Christmas----sorry for all the sickies though. That's no fun at all! :guilty:

I am back from Target. I bought snowman plates and napkins for Jimmy's bday party. I couldn't come up with a "theme", so I thought why not go for the cheap stuff. I also bought a HUGE storage container for the clothes Jimmy has outgrown. I bought myself a beautiful prelit 36" wreath (it has pinecones and berries on it, too) to put out next year. I also got baby wipes, a Wonder Woman key chain for my BIL (he has Linda Carter issues), and 4 sets of swag lights. I'm thinking about putting them up on our fence next year. If that doesn't work out, they're going up in my classroom. I have to take Jimmy in for his 2nd flu shot tomorrow, so I'm going to check out the Target by the drs office to see what they've got left. I just remembered the 3 rolls of wrapping paper, gift bags, and holiday stationary I also bought.

I'm so happy everyone had a nice holiday with their families!

DisKim - Score for your Ugg boots! I would love a pair but am afraid I would destroy them in our icky weather. All of our snow is melting and the streets are a mushy mess.

Jill - Isn't it funny the things the kids really like? I think the rock set is just too funny!

nupcharm - I hope your niece is well soon!

tykes - I hope the ear infections go away soon! Ouch, that must hurt!

Alice - I don't know what to say about your MIL. My mom keeps telling me that some day my baby is going to want to get married, and I'll be a MIL. I just think they are a breed unto themselves. I hope she can see the sacrifices you, your DH, and your kids have made over the last 16 months and she can help you guys out. I can see how one-sided things are with DH's family. Each of his sisters bought Jimmy one thing for Christmas. Now, I'm not saying my son is deprived and didn't get enough stuff for Christmas (that would be a flat out lie), BUT all of DH's nieces and nephews got MULTIPLE gifts from their aunts. It's just sad that they treat the kids so differently. None of them have a problem laying claim to my son b/c he's the only boy to carry on the family name, but it's just so biased as far as Jimmy and the other kids are concerned.

I am looking for a prelit white Chirstmas tree. I'm off the surf the net in search of one. I don't know why, but I REALLY want one for next year!

I'll be posting pics later!

lissawynn- I had to laugh about us being a MIL someday, cause I know I will. What's funny is, DH thinks my mom is da' bomb- they really get along and he thinks she's cool. I have several other girlfriends, where their MILs are weird, but their husbands like their moms.....but then, my mom LOVED her MIL, my grandma....so you never know! My MIL is a good person, and she means well, and she doesn't 'deprive us.' But my BIL/SIL both have learning disabilities and they chose to have children (even went thru fertility drugs) and have triplets. They live sometimes rent free in one of my MIL rental homes; sometimes they pay the rent, often aren't able to. And over the years, my FIL/MIL have given them their cars after they have driven them a few years. Do I begrudge my BIL getting the extra help? No, absolutely not, because he needs it and he does try hard to keep a job. But it's just hard when we ask my MIL for some help (we've asked once before, for a small amount of money when I was on maternity leave for #2) and it was made into this huge production and it was just weird. Like because we're moderately successful and well off that we should never ever need help or ask for it or something. It's so weird.

My MIL has definite control issues, and now that my FIL is gone and isn't there to temper her, it's crazy out of control sometimes.

Enough of that. I LOLed about the rocks too. My 8 year old's favorite gift? Not the Lego Bionicles he whined about; not the Capt Underpants book set; not the two gameboy games....the PINK AND TAN Furby I got him that he asked for last minute. He carried that thing thru the whole mall, target, the fisherman warehouse store....such a little 'daddy.'

Hi Everyone!

Merry Christmas!

I've not really read all of the posts yet, but it sounds like quite a few of the New Mom's are sick or their family was sick over Christmas. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

Christmas went well for us. Christmas eve was a lot of traveling, but we had fun. Unfortunately the second we got to my Father's house, my bother's kids and my oldest started ripping open all the gifts and no lie, had the house torn to pieces within 10 minutes. I didn't see one gift being opened nor knew who got me what. I did find out that my Brother got me a party pack of Peanuts as a gift (which of course the kids unwrapped). I spent lots of time picking out his PS2 game which was a special order and a nice Tiger Woods Nike golf shirt. I hate to complain, but I really do spend lots of time trying to find nice gifts for my brother and his family, and I feel as if they go into a supermarket and buy something which took no thought and wrap it up for Christmas. Maybe I take it too seriously, but i'd rather not exchange any adult gifts anymore because i'm always disappointed. I actually said in front of everyone at my father's house "All you bought me was peanuts"?. Apparently my other gift, a CD, was forgotten at home. What kills me is that my brother and SIL make well over six-figures and they spend $10 on me for Christmas. Sorry for the vent - just had to get that off my chest- and my DH is sick of hearing me say it and mad at me for trying to get them nice things each year while we get zilch in return. I know that's not what christmas is about, but I can't help but feel the way that I do.

Anyway, besides that, the kids had an awesome time and Santa was very good to the boys. My DH got me a stepper, some perfume, the makeup box I wanted from Lord and Taylor, and a pretty "MOM" locket with a pic of the boys.

The in-laws were supposed to come in today with my husband's brother's family, but MIL is sick also.

Well, i've got to run, hope everyone is enjoying their day after Christmas!!

Do you think it would be impossible to find a white pre-lit Christmas tree the day after Christmas? Let me tell ya, it's pretty close to it. I will not rest until I have one!

I just finished cleaning our bathroom, and I think the fumes from the mildew cleaner have gotten to me. Jimmy is still napping in his pack n' play, and I have made little to no effort to get to cleaning up my living room. The bomb went off here, too. I'm stepping around learning puppies, baby Tads, dancing ****ahs, and other assorted toys. I'm not even going to talk about the clothes that are piled under the tree. My son will never go naked as long as he can fit into 18-24 mo. clothes. I'm also watching the Gauntlet on MTV. Does anyone else thing Anisa is that biggest skank to hit an MTV reality show? Our school's librarian's sister worked with Anisa's mom in Philly. After her RW Chicago, she was working at the Gap. Life after MTV must be really, really good for some people and really, REALLY crappy for others.

Robin - Are you a Timmy lover, too? He's just the cutest, funniest thing going. I think I have a chrush.

Ok, I'm going to clean up parts of my lr now.

Later all.

Hi, everyone! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas with their babies. Ours was wonderful! We spent Friday night at my dad's. Kylie adores my dad! I just hope he'll make an effort to be in her life more in the future. He is great with her when he sees her. She gets her blue eyes from him (I have brown and dh has greenish hazel). It was great seeing my 10 year old and 8 year old sisters and my stepmom. We ended up spending the night as it was raining like crazy and it was getting late. My stepmom made everyone pancakes the next morning and Kylie dined on a wonderful jar of stage 2 peaches, lol! Anyway, we had a really nice time. We exchanged gifts too and Kylie did pretty well with the stash they gave her. She got this peekaball bear looking thing from them but I think my sisters and stepmom had more fun playing with it than Kylie did!

We opened presents here on Christmas Eve and Kylie had a blast playing with what we got her and what Santa brought (yep, he came early, but she didn't know any better since she isn't quite 8 months yet so we could get away with it! :teeth: )

Yesterday, we had breakfast with the ILs. It was dh, Kylie, and me as well as dh's parents, his sister (who is also 6 months preg.), her dh, and their 5 year old ds, his stepbrother, his dw, and their 11 year old ds. Kylie had a blast playing with her cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. And of course she scored a motherload of clothes and toys from them as well. Heck, Santa even visits the ILs for her! ;) Then, we went to church with my best friend, her dh, and their terror of a ds! The nursery was closed yesterday so we took Kylie in the sanctuary with us and my friend took her ds. Her ds was a nightmare again and I am always appalled and amazed that his parents never discipline him, but oh well. He's not my kid so what can I do? :confused3 Kylie was quite vocal during the sermon too. She didn't cry or anything but was talking during quite a bit of it. This is a wonderful church though and most people thought she was so precious and didn't seem to mind how loud she was since they knew the nursery was closed on Christmas. Ladies, all I can say is I am so glad we decided to go to church on Christmas! It was the most beautiful sermon and it really put things into perspective for us. After that sermon we remembered the real meaning of Christmas and instantly decided it wasn't worth being petty over gifts and how crazy dh's grandmother makes me lately (since we were headed to her house after church!), etc.

Anyway, after church it was time to go to lunch with dh's extended family at his grandmother's. It consisted of everyone we had breakfast with as well as dh's other brother and a friend of his brother's, and his uncle/aunt and their 2 grown kids, and his other aunt and uncle. Once again Kylie made out like a bandit! You should see my living room! It looks like a tornado blew through it with all of Kylie's stuff! Thank God my mom gave me a toybox or I wouldn't know what to do with half of it! Kylie did really well all day until toward the end at his grandmother's. She really needed a nap by that point and was starting to get cranky. Dh and I were exhausted as well and when we got home we layed down with Kylie in between us and the 3 of us took a good 3 hour nap!

Today Kylie and I are both sick unfortunately! I have my sinus infection in full swing along with a cold. And apparently Kylie caught my cold. :guilty: The ironic part is I have tried so hard to keep her from getting sick from anyone else and it looks like I am the one that got her sick. This is her 1st sickness though so we held out for quite a while at least. I am worried when her cold goes away she will get an ear infection but I am praying I am wrong and that won't happen! She has been napping in her crib for quite a while now but I plan to let her sleep as long as she wants because I know how miserable being sick is and rest always helps!

Anyway, I hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas (I haven't read the posts yet, plan to do that in a min.) and if I am not on here again before next week...Happy New Year! 2004 and 2005 were literally the best 2 years of my life so far and I am looking forward to 2006 and hope it is just as good as the previous 2 years have been! I can't believe some of our babies will be 1 in less than a month! Time sure has gone by fast! About 4 more months and Kylie will be 1 as well! Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Tasha - Hope you and Kylie are feeling better soon! :grouphug:

Hi everyone :wave2: ,
I am enjoying reading about everyone's holidays. It sounds like all our kids got a ton of presents. I hope those who are sick are feeling better soon.

We had a wonderful Christmas weekend as well. On Sat. we went to MIL's but Katie still wasn't feeling well. Poor thing was soooo fussy and she is never that way. We had a nice meal and then opened presents. My DS got his robosapien which he absolutely loved! Mommy errr... Santa refused to buy it because the stinking thing cost $80 but Grandma got it for him. He also got a whole bunch of other stuff too since all of DH's family was there. I got a toaster oven which I really wanted  . Also a bunch of other things. Katie got some cute outfits and toys too. On the way home from MIL's DH ran into Walmart so we could pick her up some rectal Tylenol since she would not cooperate and take it. He also slept with her in the living room on Christmas eve night so I could get some sleep since she hadn't been sleeping for a few nights. Of course DS was antsy and couldn't sleep so he snuck into my bed at 3 a.m. and woke me up anyway.

On Sunday, we discovered Santa had come and brought the kids a mountain of toys! DH got me a subscription to People magazine, a light up Mickey wreath, the castle and main st. station light up fiber optic houses, and two Dale Earnhardt Jr. bags (a duffel and a tote bag). I was a happy girl :) . DS got me a can opener and he was so proud of himself for it. It was cute. He kept telling everybody "I got mommy a can opener!!" and asking me if I loved it.

My family came over for dinner and yet another present exchange. Katrina got soo much clothes and toys. She really needed them though because she has very few 6-9 month outfits which is her size now. I had been putting off buying her anything since I knew she would get stuff for Christmas. She was still sick yesterday but she slept last night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. which is the first time she has slept in a few nights. Today she is eating again so I do think she is getting better.

My aunt from Fl and my cousin as well as my brother's family and my dad came over today. It has been kind of good having so many people over because that way I have been forced to clean my house but I am tired! Over the past two weeks I have hosted 6 get togethers :earseek: . I am ready to sit back and relax and play with kid's new toys :) .

We got some gift cards and money so tomorrow we are going to go shopping since both kids are feeling better. I want to get DS some new snow pants and boots and Katie now needs a toy box for all her new toys. I also want to see if I can pick up some Christmas decorations for next year.

About the Gauntlet, I agree Aneesa is a strange one. What is with her hair this season??! It's quite the look. So far this season seems kind of blah to me. Maybe it will get better when they get down to less people. I miss the old veterans like Miz, Veronica, Theo. They are fun to watch.

Hope everyone has a nice night  .

Val- a can opener! How sweet! I love that! I got a tweety bird note pan WITH pencil from my son! He was quite proud and made me open it like a week ago.

Yes, Aneesa is a total skank. Weird hair to boot. And yes.... me amore Timmy. He's so my type. Great sense of humor, yet seems lightyears more mature than most of the MTV crowd...and I go for the dark hair/dark eyes. :lovestruc JK...kinda

Tasha- hope you and Kylie are feeling better soon! :grouphug: :wizard:

Hill- I'm sorry you got a ca-ca gift. That's no good, esp when you are so thoughtful. I know it's all about the giving and such, but it's still a blow when we spend so much time and effort on finding something 'perfect' for someone, and they're like, "Here's a piece of Pyrex. Enjoy."

I ordered myself some lotion on ebay cause it looks like Victoria's Secret doesn't carry it anymore?!?!!? I asked the manager and she said she hasn't go the official word it's discontinued, but she hasn't rec'd any in months. Wah!!!! I have a sack load of Bath and Body Works in a scent I don't care for that I will exchange sometime later this week. They always have that GREAT semi-annual sale, so I can shop that with my credit I guess.

Speaking of explosions, I think my kids got every toy every made by any single manufacturer---just pick one and they got something. My older DS got I think 7-8 different Lego items; Furby; 12 books; 2 DVDs; 2 Gameboy games; a pirate ship; I can't even fathom it...oh, Star Wars, can't forget the flipping star wars. Younger DS got the Dora Kitchen AND House with all the furniture (Costco gem); star wars; 2 DVDs; gameboy game; Leap pad set with 2 addtl books; Buzz shoes; extra 'food' for his kitchen. Molly got 6-7 baby toys, clothes. Those people who sponsored us, plus me and DH, plus my parents, plus a gift or two here and there from various aunts and uncles. My goodness...it was insane. I got a labeler from my mom, so I helped the boys put stuff away, labeled boxes, etc. It was fun for the anal retent in me!

Well, time to head back down to my folks for dad's birthday dinner! Yay! Don't have to cook AGAIN! :cheer2:

Hey Mommies!
I enjoyed hearing about everyone's Christmas.

Ours was hectic and too fast. DH's family came over Sat afternoon and brought deli sandwiches. I had my bowl of white rice as that flu is hard to beat. It sounds pretty pathetic actually, but it was nice to have it so low key and just visit with Jace as both DH and I were feeling so ill and really could not host anything. However, speaking of MILs. I just have an issue that my MIL acts like Jace is her baby and calls him that. She totally hogged the baby and wouldn't let anyone else hold him. Then she got upset because he fell asleep on my SIL when we made her share because she is his Grandma and he should fall asleep on her... URGH! I think it is so funny that he really doesn't dig her and would rather be with everyone else. He knows poor boundaries when he sees them - yeah Jace!

Sunday we had our opening of gifts here and headed to my moms. It was nice, but too crowded and too fast. It was hard trying not to get to close to people as I still feel sick to my stomach (but finally ate real food last night - yippee) Plus Jace got so much stuff...I have no idea how to even begin to clean up the diaster area that is my house. He got so overstimulated from all his electronic/musical toys he played with today - poor thing.

Well, it's official...DH and I finally made Jace cry it out. Luckily, we had never had to before as he is usually a great sleeper. I'm not sure if it's too much stimulation and change in schedule from the holidays, the teeth or what, but the past two nights have been awful. I actually think it's because he was held and allowed to sleep on family all weekend long and now he does not want to sleep by himself and wants to be held. The moment I pick him up he stops crying. This went on so long last night that we decided to let him CIO. At least it only took him 5 minutes to soothe himself to sleep once we did it, but it's so hard not to run in there and hold him!!! I'm hoping he's old enough to do that now. I think after 6 mos it's not a big deal???????

I'm still in my pjs from last night. I had a totally lazy day as I got minimal sleep last night. I'm so impressed with all of you who went out there and braved the stores!!! Where do you find the energy??

Well, off to have a bowl of cereal as DH and I are too exhausted to make anything else for ourselves tonight for dinner. Have a great night ladies!!

Joats - I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better. The flu is terrible! When I started working with Kindergarteners I got the stomach flu all the time. Ick!

Sorry to hear that Jace hasn't been sleeping so well. When my oldest was 3 months old, we had her cry it out for a few nights. It was rough, but she has been a champion sleeper ever since. My girls are great sleepers, but John Paul certainly isn't. My DH is trying to keep him awake right now so he will sleep tonight. He is one fussy baby at the moment! :earboy2:

Hi everyone-

Wow theres a lot of sick mommies and babies on here at the moment! Well here's another one....I thought yesterday that it was my Kitty allergy getting worse but I have come out this morning with a terrible cold. I have used about 5000 tissues already this morning and we are out of tea bags! There is no way that I am going to the store either - DH works at a store so I have called him and asked him to bring some home with him - brings a whole new meaning to "convenience store" ha ha :)

We had a great Christmas - I couldn't believe how much stuff Shelby got! I mean she is only 9 weeks! She got a ride on Eeyore which I am still trying to figure out how to put together! LOADS of clothes, and other toys. I got some nice underwear from DH, and a lot of toiletries and a big bottle of Calvin Klein Contradiction which is my favourite scent ever! DH had DVDs a wallet and belt set and we had quite a few shared gifts between us too.

I am hoping that Shelby doesn't get sick, she keeps sucking her thumb at the moment but putting it so far into her mouth that she begins to gag on it! She is asleep on our bed at the moment with her Dummy in so hopefully she will sleep for a while so that I can do her bottles etc. She has been a bit fussy this last few days, I think she is the opposite of Jace, she got fed up woth being cuddled and wanted to just lie on the floor herself, so she cried then. Also she won't sleep when we are out I think she thinks she is missing out on the fun so she fights it so hard!. Her eyes are closing and she forces them back open! She gets so crabby though.........just like her mommy when I am tired!!

Jill - I love your rock story - too cute! Poor JP - Shelby is the same at the moment - our Health Visitor suggested 2oz of water with a touch of brown sugar added to it ,it appears to be working but unless she has it every day she is back to square one.

Tasha - Hope you are feeling better today, Kylie did well not to get sick until now.

Alice - Sorry about your VS scent, thank goodness for Ebay huh!

Val - Don't ya just love Grandma's " IF mommy says no......ask Grandma"

Lissawynn - Did you get your tree?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas. I enjoyed reading everyone's Christmas stories.

My computer got a virus for Christmas, so I had to have BIL (computer geek) reinstall everything so today is the first day I've been online in a while. We had Christmas Eve dinner at my in-laws' house which I didn't really like because they served fish and lasanga. I don't like seafood or ricotta cheese, so I had a baked potato and some corn. MIL felt bad, but we thought she knew. Christmas Day was at my parents' house and that was much better.

Lucas got a ton of toys and clothes. I can't wait until he starts "playing" - right now it's more like "putting everything in his mouth". He also got a Little Touch Leap Pad which I personally think is pretty cool. Santa brought him a lion chair and a few books.

I think I made out pretty well too! DH surprised me with an ipod nano. I haven't been able to put any music on it yet because of the computer problems, but I think I'll give it a try today. Another of my favorite gifts was one of those Italian charm add-a-link bracelets from my nephews. My in-laws gave me a few charms for it also.

We spent yesterday bumming around the house playing with our new stuff. Today we'll probably venture out to the mall and Best Buy. I'll download my Christmas pictures in a minute and post some of Lucas.

EDIT TO ADD - Love the pictures of Lucas!!!!!

Tasha and Kylie, Tamie and Tyler, and all the other DIS mommies who are sick and have sick little ones - FEEL BETTER SOON!!!

I forgot to share the news that Liam rolled all the way over from his back to his front on Christmas eve day - I was shocked but he got himself all the way over. It's amazing how different babies are - my older son could have cared less about rolling over early, crawling and walking early for that matter. This little one is pretty feisty. I think that's part of the reason he just doesn't sleep all that much. He goes to sleep at 8, wakes at midnight and 3, and then is up at 6. I hope to eliminate the 3 am bottle at some point soon - and since i'll be back at work on the 3rd of January, hopefully that day will come sooner than later.

Does anyone else have a baby who won't sit and play in their crib upon waking in the morning? I hear some stories of happy babies who can wake up in the AM and play in their crib for an hour - Liam wakes up crying and then starts screaming if I don't get him right away. Just wondering if i'm the only one? I get the feeling this little one is going to give me and DH a run for our money as he gets older! Should be fun.....

Have a good day ladies! Hope Justthat is having a ball in WDW!

SL - I love the pictures of Lucas! They are too cute! :sunny:

Hillbeans - Yeah! for Liam rolling over! :cheer2: I hope that he gives up his 3 a.m. feeding for you too. It sounds like Liam and John Paul are on the same schedule. :faint: John did skip his 3:00 a.m. feeding last night although he was up at 2:00 screaming until he was held. I ended up holding him from 2:00 until 6:00 which was the next time he ate. I'm not sure what to make of that though. I can't hold him every night so he can sleep so we will see. :confused3 I think John Paul will be giving me a run for my money as well. Good luck to you especially since you are going back to work next week. :wizard:

Gems - I hope that you feel better soon and that Shelby doesn't get sick. :wizard: Thanks for the advice too! I've got a call into the Pediatrician's office to see about switching John's formula. Hopefully that will help. :sunny:

Hi to everyone else! :wave2: My MIL left this morning to go back home so I need to do some cleaning and organizing now. I feel like resting though!

Everyone have a great day! :sunny:

This is Jimmy on Christmas Eve opening some gifts. I have to get my mom's and sister's pics, too. I didn't get that many pics on Christmas Day b/c everyone else was taking pics.

Here's a question for all of you with older kids...
Jimmy will sleep in his crib for about an hour. After that he wakes up screaming. No matter what we do he will not go back to sleep unless we take him in bed with us. He sleeps wonderfully there. Is he too small for a bed of his own? I was just looking at toddler beds at BRU online, and they seem pretty small. I just don't know what to do with him. We tried to let him scream it out. Jim wimped out after an hour. He went and got Jimmy and brought him into bed with us.
I can't continue to get no sleep. I don't know what else to do with him.

Great pictures of Lucas!

Hillary - I think Liam's crying upon waking will pass. I don't remember when Tyler started playing instead of crying, but it was a bit older than Liam. He still occassionally wakes up crying if he's starving or hasn't really gotten enough rest.

We only had to get up once with Tyler last night. Then he slept until 5:30. Getting him back on a nap schedule today has not been easy. Most of his morning nap was on my lap. He's crying now because I laid him down for his afternoon nap and he's fighting it. I think his ears are getting better. He seems happier today (minus the nap issue) than he has the past couple of days.
