Good morning! We had a 2 hr. delay this morning. I don't know why, but these days seem like they are SO long.
I didn't get to sleep in this morning. I got Jimmy up to go to my dad's and he was covered in poop. I think the antibiotic is making his stool very loose. He got a bath and changed to leave. I also think the poop and medicine is causing his bottom to be irritated. I have been putting diaper ointment on him all weekend.
My dad comes in this morning and asks how much it would cost to add his wife to our WDW ressie. WTH? I guess she's now decided to be ticked off that he's going with us and wants to go. I think they were fighting about it yesterday. So I told him that another room at WL would run them about $1400 for the 6 nights. His eyes almost popped out of his head. Then he said she didn't think she could take get the time off from work anyway. I don't know if I've told you all before, but his wife is an alcoholic. She has ruined more family functions and embarrassed us repeatedly with her behavior when she's drunk. I will NOT go with her to WDW, unless, of course, she agrees not to touch a drop of alcohol the entire time we're there.
I can't wait to hear what happens this afternoon when I pick up Jimmy. I told my sister she can go in my place and they can pay for themselves.

Back to work. Still catching up from Friday!

tkyes - Oooooh, a bath sounds so good right now. It's snowing and I'm at work, but I'd much rather be in the tub right now. My back has been killing me lately.

bellacam - Sorry, no flying tips from me. But if you get any, let me know. I think we'll be flying to FL with Lucas in October.

DisKim - Just a quick story about crawling: apparently, I never crawled. My mom says I'd stay wherever I was put down until one day (my first birthday, actually) I just got up and walked. I don't think I'd worry too much about Aidan.

ahutton, Valerie, DisPhD, and all the sickies - I hope you feel better soon! pixiedust:

llij - I'm glad JP is doing better and the insurance company didn't change it's mind again.

lissawynn - Looks like you had a great party! Love the pictures. Happy birthday to Jimmy!

Gems - Good luck with Shelby's baptism.

Alice28 - Congrats on your Tribeca!

Lucas spent the night at my parents' house so DH wouldn't have to drive him over in the snow. Unfortunately, the snow plows woke me up at about 5:30am so I didn't get a great night's sleep.

Scrapbooking went really well this weekend. I had a great time and I'm almost finished with the book I'm working on. I can't wait to make one for our Disney trip. :dumbo:

Hello everyone! I'm avoiding my work and hitting the DIS. It's my lunch break. I deserve it. Well, I talked to a realtor from NC last night. She sounded great - just the type of person I need to help me. We will be meeting with her on our trip and she'll be showing us some neighborhoods. She said most of the subdivisions have a community pool/recreation center. That sounds great for the kids. They would always have kids to play with. It's so funny. You can't even buy a condo in NJ for the price of some of the 4 bedroom houses she's been sending me. The whole idea is making me nervous though. I couldn't sleep last night. I don't know if I really have the guts to relocate. Well, I'll have to check back in later. Time to do some grading!

lisswynn - oh no! I don't blame you for not wanting your dad's wife to come. I hope it doesn't work out for her schedule.

I'm dealing with my own trip issues right now. Our trip is 2 weeks away. My mom just called and asked how difficult it would be if we moved it back a week. sigh. it would cost almost $1800 to change everything, just because DH and I have frequent flyer tickets so we would have to purchase new ones because we don't have enough miles to change at this late date. Her work wants her to go on a business trip during the week we were going to go. I really don't want to change our dates. I've spent so much time planning everything out. I would have to change all of our reservations and dining reservations. I know I'm being a baby, but I'll be really dissapointed if we have to change everything. Besides, it's a whole week later! I've been waiting for this trip for long enough!!!!

SL - Glad you had a good time scrapbooking. Your book is almost done? That's great!!

vald - sorry you are sick! Everyone needs to get better. I hate hearing about all these sick moms and babies!

Tamie

Hey everyone! We went and had our ultrasound and we found out we're having a Boy! We are so happy. My 5year old DD wasn't so happy since she wanted a sister, but I know she'll be much happier with a brother. We also got really good news from the doctor, she said there are no visible signs or markers of Trisomy 18 and has no reason to think the baby will have it. Oh that made us so happy. I wanted to thank everyone for all their good wishes and thoughts.

Hi everyone-

I'm having a hard time being able to really read everyone's posts....(although we haven't been quite as zippy lately)....

lissawynn- I sure hope it turns out your stepmother does NOT go to WDW with you. I can see how that would make you angry. :furious: Hope Jimmy continues to feel better- I've often had problems with the kids and loose stools when they are on antibiotics. Oh, and it's funny you mention what your DH said about the tribeca cause that was our ONLY reservation about it too! We're just going on the name Subaru has built for themselves and trusting there will be no big issues.

SL- so glad you were able to scrapbook- I have some serious work ahead of me in that area! I'm behind!

Tkyes- I sure hope you don't have to change your trip dates! I don't think you're being a baby at all- I totally understand.

Val- I hope you have a good day with the kids and that they settle down for you!

DisKim- I'm glad you clicked with the realtor. Just keep an open mind when you are there, don't feel like you HAVE to make a decision either way. Moving to another state is a scary thing- I did it 11 years ago, although it was only 1 state away, it took me awhile to feel at home in Oregon. I still in some ways consider myself a California girl, although I no longer care to be associated with the state! :p

I think I need to seriously go to the chiropractor- my neck has been out of whack since I drove to Ft. Lewis in the downpour of rain and I guess I was gripping the steering wheel like a mad woman. That, and I had to hold Molly a lot those two days. I think I pinched a nerve or something.... :sad2: :worried:

MIL left yesterday- here's one story for you gals, just cause I love ya all- ;)

We're sitting around the table Saturday. DH was saying how some guys in his unit left Iraq early due to 'injury.' Like one guy came back from leave, and within a week of returning, his 'neck hurt.' But no specific injury happened to cause it. So, within a month he was discharged and sent home. My MIL said this, "It's that easy to get out? Well, CPL Klinger wore that dress for all those years and they never let him go!" AND SHE WAS MOSTLY SERIOUS. Bob just looked at her like ***, and I said OH......MY......GOD......are you KIDDING ME? That was a TV show! This is reality!!!!!!!!!!!" And she was embarrassed and she knew how stupid she sounded. She just says STUPID things like that all the time and this is a woman with a Masters degree in education.

I don't want to talk with her for at least a month.

Anyway, have a good day everyone! :smickey:

Ladies, I did something kind of sneaky today. After talking to my dad this morning, I called him back and gave him the totals of what it would cost if his wife decided to go on the trip. Another room at the WL $1400, park ticket $250, and meal plan $240. That's what it would cost if my sister and I still split the cost of his stuff. I also told him they wouldn't allow 4 adults and 2 kids in one room (whether or not this is true, I don't know). I told him that he should go with us and check things out. Maybe on our next trip his wife could go. I also suggested that we take her in the cooler weather. Can you imagine being loaded all day, every day, in that heat? She'd drop over. I think he's going to tell her the cost and she'll back off.

DisKim - I'm hoping things work out for your move to NC. My sister loved living there and is planning on moving back.

Alice28 - I can believe that your MIL is that dense. After what you've told us about her, it doesn't surprise me. I hope you are loving your new car! Again, I'm very jealous ;) .

val - I hope you don't have to change the dates for your trip! $1800 is a lot of money to spend to push things back a week.

Back to grading papers! :teacher:

/
lissawynn- I don't think you're sneaky- I think you're smart! :rotfl2: I am laughing because it is something I would totally do too. ::yes::

I went to the chiropractor and wow, I feel much better. I see him again Thursday for one more adjustment & one more next week when our regular insurance kicks back in. My neck was seriously out of whack- quite 'crunchy' both ways when he did the adjustment. I also asked for a 15 minute massage for my appt next week....treat myself!

Gotta get JB off to preschool.

lissawynn - I don't think you are sneaky at all. I would definitely do the same thing. She could make your vacation miserable!

Alice28 - I'm glad you are feeling better. Enjoy your massage!

wonderbelle - What great news! Congratulations!

I had a terrible day at work today. I ended up screaming at the VP's secretary. I was trying to get them to call down a kid from the lunch room. He was being picked on by another kid because he is Mexican. I sent the other kid to the office but I thought the kid who was being picked on needed to be talked to because he looked like he was going to explode. The secretary informed me that they were going to lunch in 5 minutes and to have him fill out a report and she would talk to him later. I flipped! I "told" (actually screamed at her) that if they fought it was on her head and I was trying to stop these kids from hurting each other. Suddenly she got all "nice" and agreed to call him down. What ever happened to looking out for the kids' best interest? If a student needs me, my lunch is certainly not my priority. Then, my 7th period class was just awful. I got angry with them and I hardly ever lose my cool. It only happens about once a year and today was my day. Now my DD is up in her room seething with rage. She informed me that I am so mean and she hates me. Do any of you have pre-teen girls? She's a trial.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all for the B-day wishes. It was a whirlwind of a weekend!

The Christening went so well. Liam was very happy yesterday and slept through the actual christening part (the water and oil on his head). The after party was nice and DH even got to sneak away to watch some of his beloved Steelers - we were even home for him to see the end.

It was kind of sad for MIL because I could tell she just wasn't herself.

We also sold our investment property this past weekend - YAY. :cheer2: That is a story unto itself - we bought this place a few years ago with MIL/FIL and fixed it up hoping for a quick sale. That never happened and it sat for about 1.5 years with little to no interest in it (or so we were told). As it turns out, there were people interested in it and our realtor didn't bother returning phone calls to potential buyers and/or cancelled appointments. One person went as far to do his own research and send us a letter saying he's been wanting to buy the house for months and finally found out who owned the house so he could work directly through us. We've since found out there was a lot of interest in the property which is soooo frustrating because that's why we hired a realtor. I guess the house sale wasn't enough money to make it worth their while. Ugh - long story short, it's now sold through us directly and the timing couldn't be better with all that's going on with the death of FIL.

Tamie - I hope you don't have to change around your dates. That's a lot of money and expense to do all of that.

Loretta - hope you had a good last day of work!!

Alice - Sorry to hear about your neck - glad you're starting to get into the swing of things again on the homefront.

Diskim - You need a hug :grouphug: Hope your day gets a little better!

Lissawynn - I think what you did was smart, not sneaky! Happy Birthday to Jimmy!

Wonderbelle - Congrats on your special news!!! Welcome baby Wonderbelle!

Vald1977 - may Calgon officially take you away! It's tough being cooped up in the house on snow days! Hang in there. I hear you about the fussing=picked up routine.

Gems - glad to hear Shelby is doing better - hugs to her!

Jill - sorry to hear you were sick also - but glad to hear things with JP are going well and he's sleeping a little better also.

SL - glad you had fun scrapbooking.

Hi to Everyone else!

We aren't changing our trip dates! I know it was a really hard decision for my mom to make. Her work wanted her to go to Hong Kong. It really was a good opportunity for her. If she decided to go, she was going to pick up the expense of changing our dates. I would guess that was a pretty big factor, that's a ton of money.

diskim - Gosh you do need a hug! :grouphug: I'm so sorry you are having such a horrible day. Any wine around the house to break into before dinner? ;)

hillary - Hi! I'm so glad the baptism went well. I can't imagine how hard it was for your MIL being there and missing her husband. So sad. Congrats on selling the investment property. That totally stinks that you had a horrible realtor!!

wonderbelle - Congratulations! What great news!!!

lissawynn - I don't think that was sneaky at all. It would have ruined everyone's trip. My MIL was considering coming with us. She would have been fine (not drunk like yours ;) ) but she's more of a lay by the beach kind of person and we go to much for her at WDW. She would have hated it.

My FIL is having surgery tomorrow. He actually had a stent put in last week and his having his diffibulator (sp?) replaced tomorrow morning. DH is at the hospital right now visiting him and double checking things for tomorrows surgery.

Tyler will not leave the keyboard alone and it's making it very hard to type. time to run.

tamie

Wonderbelle- congrats on your little boy to be! Boys rock! I have two and they are my little helpers. And I'm glad there were no hints of Trisomy 18- I'm trying to insert excited smilies and the boards aren't letting me!!!

Hillary- I'm glad the baptism went well AND that your property sold! WooHoo!

DisKim- I am cyber-sending you a nice cocktail....a fruity one perhaps? MaiTai? Pina Colada? Let's get straight to the point and have a Long Island. :-)

I put up a bunch of Molly's Gymbo & Gap clothes on ebay AND a Dooney purse I bought 2 years ago that turned out to be just too small. DH wants me to get one I want. I remembered seeing the uber-cheap ones at the military exchange and he's all, "You can go to the military website and order one there- there's a bigger selection!" (Insert bug-eyed smilie here)----I got a shoulder bag that retails for $235 for $159!!! No shipping costs either! I'm so excited! I'm hoping my ebay stuff I'm selling covers it, but we're doing good $-wise, so whatever. Yay!

Have a great 1st birthday, Jimmy!

:cake:

Yes, Happy Birthday to Jimmy! :bday:

This is a picture of DH and Molly when he first arrived home last Thursday night....the news we were on (two different channels even) never uploaded us to their websites, so I can't share. :rolleyes2

KarenTX - John Paul was a preemie too, but he didn't need to go into the NICU b/c he was a pretty good size. How is your baby now?
QUOTE]

Hi there!

Kate was born 3 months early due to severe PIH. She was 1 lb 10 oz. She finally got out of the NICU after 52 days. She's now 9 months and weighs almost 13lbs. Her doctors would love to see more weight on her but I can't force her to eat!! When she's done...she's done!
Anyone else have this problem?

KarenTX - Wow, Kate sounds like she is doing great for being born 3 months early! I have the same problem as you do when feeding John Paul. He eats about 3 oz. a feeding and the doctors would like it to be more. Just like Kate, when he is done he is done and I don't force him to eat more. I go back to the doctors next week so I will see what they say about his latest weight. I guess as long as the babies are gaining weight and staying on the same percentile curve it might be ok. :confused3 I'm not totally sure about it, but I wish you the best b/c we are in the same boat as far as feeding goes.

Hi to all the other mommies! I'll pop back by later. I'm off to my weight watcher meeting. Keeping my fingers crossed that I've lost some weight. :teeth:

Happy Birthday, Jimmy!! :dumbo: :bday: :tigger:

WonderBelle - Congrats on having a boy!! :mickeyjum

tkyes - I hope your FIL is ok.

lissawynn - I don't think you're sneaky either. Sounds like you'll have a better time without her.

Hillbeans - Congrats on selling your property. I can't believe that real estate agent.

DisKim - Hope you're having a better day today. :grouphug:

Alice28 - A new purse sounds great right about now! I'm a Coach girl myself. Great pic of Molly and her Daddy. She looks like she's sizing him up. :)

KarenTX - Sorry I can't be of any help. DS wasn't a preemie and he's gained weight right on schedule. Good luck!

DH's grandmother passed away this morning. We don't know when the wake or funeral will be yet because we don't know if DH's relatives from Florida are going to come up. I feel awful for DH; his grandmother hadn't been doing well (I think I posted when she went to the hospital) but they were very close when he was growing up. She used to take care of him and his sister.

Hi all. Today has been a lousy day school-wise. I've spent the entire day in the library with my kids. They are supposed to be researching information for their persuasive essay and debates, and they are a mess. Basically, they want me to do the work for them. I heard "I can't find it", and "I don't know what to do" all day long. The only thing that makes me happy is that the day is over. I'm going to give Jimmy more cake tonight and let him get nuts!

I booked our flight to Orlando last night. Guess there's no turning back now! Also, we got all the ADRs we wanted.

I'll post more later. We're having a last minute faculty meeting.

Hello mommies! :wave2:

I lost 5 lbs. this week. Yea! :cool1: I had lost all of my baby weight shortly after John Paul was born, but then I put on 12lbs. over Christmas. Eek! :scared1:

John Paul is doing great and it is hard to believe that he will be 3 months old on Friday. Where did the time go? :teeth: My oldest DD is turning 10 on Sunday and I'm wondering where that time went as well. It seems like yesterday that she was my little baby. Now she is starting to enter pre-teen girl stage. :scared: :faint: Time goes by faster the older I get. :p

I've still got a bit of a cold, but I think it is getting better. That Zicam stuff seems to work pretty well. Anyways, I don't want John Paul to get sick so I am doing everything I can to not give it to him. Kinda hard though when you are with baby 24/7.

Yesterday, the girls had off from school so I took all three kids to get their picture taken. The pictures came out great. I should scan them and post a few on here.

Lisawynn - Happy 1st Birthday to Jimmy! :bday: Did it seem like his first year flew by fast for you? I'm sorry to hear that you have had a rough couple of days at work. Sending warm wishes your way that school gets better. pixiedust:

SL - I'm sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother passing away. It is so difficult to lose someone so very dear to you. You all will be in my prayers.

Wonderbelle - That is wonderful news about your little guy being ok! You made my day! I'm so glad that it all worked out. Please continue to keep us posted. :goodvibes

DisKim - That is great that you found a realtor in NC who will work with you. It sounds great and I understand your anxiety about moving. I moved about 18 times in my life and it can be tough, but very rewarding when you find a place that is right for your family. :grouphug:

Tamie - That is great news that you don't have to change your trip dates. I bet you are getting so excited about going to WDW! Do you have any spare room in your suitcase for a stowaway? ;)

Alice28 - I love the picture of Molly and your DH. It is so cute. How was her reaction to seeing her dad? Are they getting to know one another? My dad went to Vietnam when I was about Molly's age and my mom told me that there was some readjustment when he came back. It didn't take long though for me to be climbing all over my dad and I'm sure Molly will be the same way. Also, I'm happy to hear that your neck feels better. Enjoy your massage next week. You deserve it! :sunny:

Hillbeans - Yea! on selling your investment property! :cheer2: It sounds like your realtor really was terrible and I am so glad that the buyer found you all. I hope that your birthday was great and I'm glad the Christening went well. I'm sorry to hear that it was a little tough for your MIL. Will she be staying with you for awhile or did she go back home?

Zalansky - Good luck with Cam's Christening. Is it this weekend? :goodvibes

Hi to all the other mommies out there - Gems, J&D, Valerie, DisneyPhD, Justhat, DE, Bellacam. I'm sorry if I forgot anyone!

Everyone have a great day! :sunny:
