I don't post for a few hours and I'm so far behind. I have been using my "free time" at work to actually do school work.

Hillbeans - My sympathies are with you and your family.

Jill - I hope the insurance company comes through and pays for the shots. What a load of crap. I hate dealing with them.

DisKim - I hope everything works out for you and your family. I can't imagine moving and leaving my job. I would never want to start over unless I was taking an admin. job. The downside to that is losing my summers and nights to school stuff.

SL - Your pics of Lucas are always so adorable! What a cutie pie!

Jimmy has slept in his crib with little or no fuss for the past two nights! I hope we're over the hump.

Avent bottles - Make sure the nipples are the right "speed". I had bought some new bottles and the nipples were faster than we were using. I made a mess and Jimmy was spitting all over the place.

I need to go buy my dad a bday card! He'll be 56 tomorrow!

Welcome back, Patsy! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Morning all! :sunny:

I am exhausted this am--which doesn't make any sense b/c Matthew slept 8 hrs. last night ! :cool1: I think the tiredness is coming from the crazy thing I did yesterday. I babysat for 2 kids plus my 2 for 3 hrs. AAAHHH!! I now know what it would feel like to have 2 sets of twins. :scared1:

We got some interesting news last night. I guess I should preface this by saying that DH and I used to live in Arkansas (I grew up there) and almost 4 years ago, DH was transferred and we moved up here to Wisconsin where we knew nobody. Well, last night one of DH"s best friends from AR emailed him about a job opportunity. DH hasn't been too happy with his job; layoffs have been happening all around him and he's afraid he might be next. The new job would be with a small engineering firm, and he would be working with his friend. Only problem is that he would probably take a significant paycut. But $$$ isnt everything, right? We would be only 20min. from my parents (free babysitters) and we would live in the same town as my sister and her husband. I am really excited about the possibility, and DH really wants to look into it. :scratchin Keep us in your thoughts and prayers that this situation works out for us. We've been looking for a way to get out of the frozen tundra, so maybe this is our chance. :flower: We'll find out more this weekend.

Have wonderful days!! :sunny:

llij - How frustrating! Both the insurance and the school issues. When it rains, it pours I guess. I hope everythings gets worked out for the best.

J&D - Thanks for the heads up on the sale. I've had good luck at Children's Place. I'll definitely check it out.

lissawynn - Happy birthday to your father!

mommytotwo - Congratulations! :flower:

nucpharm - Glad you survived babysitting. The move to Arkansas sounds like a good one for you. Hope it all works out.

Today we're going to meet DH for lunch at Wendy's or something. Other than that, no plans. Hope everyone has a good day!

nupcharm - Would you go back to work if you moved? I know you said your parents live close. DH left the job he had for over 18 years. He was really uncertain b/c the old job paid very well (he did work tons of overtime). He LOVES his new job and is so happy he made the switch.

SL - Enjoy your lunch at Wendy's! I love it there. Jimmy had some Frosty the last time we were there. He loved it!

I am faxing my deposit info for WDW this afternoon! I am so excited! I can't wait to see my dad with the grandsons at WDW. I think he's going to be beside himself. He doesn't really "get" the scope of things there.

I don't know if I mentioned this before. One of the new teachers in my building was suspended from his job for several days. Apparently there is an investigation going on as to his conduct for the last two or so months. I feel really bad for him b/c he's going through a rough time in his personal life. At the same time he can't behave unprofessionally at work. I am hoping things turn around for him, but there's been talk of him having a hearing and his possible dismissal. I am so glad those early teaching years are over.

mommytotwo - welcome back! Best of luck to you!

jill - what a pain in the you know what! I'm so sorry. You must be so sick of this!! I really hope it works out soon!

lissawynn - yeah Jimmy! and Woo hoo for booking your trip!!

nucpharm - I hope it works out for you! Yeah to Matthew for sleeping 8 hours!

sl - have fun at Wendy's. I love Lucas's new picture. Too cute!

Not too much new here. I'm such a clutz though! I sprained my ankle getting off the treadmill yesterday. I had only done 20 minutes but I got off to change the channel on the TV. I just must have stepped funny and I rolled it. It's nice and swollen and bruising. I've been icing it and I have it wrapped right now for support. I'll survive obviously, I just really want to work out. It's less than a month until our Disney trip and I have more pounds to go!!

Have a good day everyone. It's almost Friday!!!

Hi mommies. We just got home very late last night from WDW. Our flight was delayed by almost 5 hours. We were waiting at the airport from around 5:00 until after 11:00 when our flight actually boarded. We finally got home and my head hit the pillow as the clocked turned 3 am. :scared1:

Still have tons of unpacking to do, Lily is resting now and Anna is out with her dad.

Lily did really well on the trip for the most part. She had a great time and her vocabually really grew. (pooh, eeyore, Belle, etc...) The temper tantums has started during this trip too (some thing that wasn't soo bad before.) However we somehow managed. Her big sister was great though, just wonderful behavior from her (even on the 6 hour delay at the airport.)

I will post a trip report later.

Hard to keep up with everyone, but I am reading the thread, Lots of pages happen on this thread in 8 days!

One word about DVC though, we are members and we really like it. We joined shortly after Anna turned a year old and our biggest regret is we didn't do it sooner. (that and if I could do it again I would buy BCV at 220 points instead of VWL at 170 points.)

We are really happy with it. It is great for us. I can't say enough good things about it. We haven't had much of a problem staying at non home resorts (heck we have only stayed at our home resort once.) We love Vero Beach too. We love the flexiblilty with the points. A one bedroom is nice, but for now we do pretty good in a studio and it makes out points go a lot further. ;) If you have any questions, fire away. This past trip was great. We charged $400 to the room with food and other things (we bought a lot of toys and such too, I even got a message.) We had our $250 on our Disney Visa rewards card (love that card, that was only from last May out last trip.) We already had the AP and the studio was only 95 points for the week at SSR, that comes to less then $500 for us when you add up all the DVC costs over 40 years and divide (around $5 a point, you can rent for $10 a point.) We also got $100 off each AP with DVC and then the DDE card for $50 saving us a lot too. Soon you can use the dining plan with DVC too. So we just took a trip to WDW, and it didn't even cost us much! :goodvibes

Michelle- Here is another Avent tip that I thought of while getting a bottle ready for Jenna. When you want to take the cap off, don't try to unscrew it. Simply pop it off with your thumbs.

DisneyPhD- Welcome back! We look forward to reading your trip report.

Tamie- Hope your ankle feels better soon. I feel I've become clumsy since giving birth. I used to never drop things, but now I drop things all the time. I've dropped and broken a plate, glass, mixing bowl, and two jars of baby food within the last few months. I guess I'm in more of a hurry to get things done now that I have a toddler to keep up with.

SL- Have a frosty for me.

nucpharm- That sounds like a sign to me.

lissawynn- Hope your Dad has a good birthday. Are you doing anything special for him?

lissawyn--I would have an opportunity to work more than a weekend here and there like I do now. I have kept up my AR pharmacist license, and could go to work immediately. And since we'd be really close to my mom, I could have her watch the kids every now and then--she already babysits for my niece one day a week. I hope things work out--now it's just a waiting game.

DisneyPhd-sounds like you had a great trip ::yes:: . Would love to hear more about SSR--we'll be there a week from today. I"m curious about how the studio worked out for you :scratchin --we'll be in a 2brm with DFIL next week, but if we went back with just us and the kids we'd probably do the studio thing. Glad to hear you like the DVC--unfortunately if DH decides to go for this job we'll have to put that idea on hold.

SL-Wendys' sounds good right now. I could use a great big juicy hamburger--oh well, saving the money for WDW next week; gotta eat those leftovers! :teeth:

The days just seem to be getting longer. I have more than 90 school days left and don't know how I'm going to make it to the end of the year.

J&D - We're making dinner for my dad on Sun. We're having prime rib, mashed taters, asparagus, and pineapple upside down cake. He picked the menu.

The deposit is in, and we're heading to WDW in July. I can't believe we're doing it. I printed a bunch of menus for my dad so he can see what the options are. We have to carefully plan our meals b/c dad is diabetic. He's also going to have to take his insulin into the parks. I hope the needles aren't a problem. I figure we'll just throw them in with Jimmy's juice.

It's about 52 and sunny outside. I can't wait to leave here!

Hi everybody ,
Sorry I am behind here again. I will try and catch up with what I can remember.

Jill,
How frustrating that insurance company is being! I'm glad HR is helping fight for you guys. I really hope it gets resolved soon.

Nucpharm,
Good luck with your decision on maybe moving. It sounds like a really good opportunity.

DisneyPhd,
Welcome back from your trip! Other than the airport delay, it sounds like it was a nice time.

Tamie,
Happy Birthday to your dad! Mine will be 56 in a couple of months.

Mommytotwo,
Congrats and Best Wishes!

J & D,
Thanks so much for the heads up on the sale! I spent $111 and got 23 items of clothing for next fall and winter. I usually get the children's place emails with the codes but I didn't get that one. Thanks again!

I'm sure I am forgetting some things and I apoligize. I have to go get ready to get my hair cut for the first time in two years. I usually get it cut short and then grow it out for a couple of years so I can donate it to Locks of Love. It is time to get rid of it again as it's driving me crazy! Talk to you all soon!

YAY! We are back from seeing DH and it was awesome seeing him. He looks great and I'm just so happy to feel like things are finally coming back to normal....I am telling you ladies, it has been by the grace of God that I got thru the last 17 months. I don't know how else to explain it.

Off to the Dr. to get the stent out! More happy news! I can't wait! :cool1:

Alice28 - Yea! for being able to see your DH and for your stent coming out!

I'll post more later....gotta run and get Katie to dance class! :sunny:

nucpharm - I hope everything works out for you. I guess I'm not the only one trying to relocate.

Alice 28 - I'm so happy for you. He is finally home :cool1:

I'll try to post more later. I'm taking the kids to the park to meet my friend and her kids. It is 61 degrees out. What happened to winter? I'm not complaining.

We did pretty well in the studio. The biggest problem was the lack of space to store things. (drawers) there just wasn't enough. Last time we we stayed in a normal room at PORS we had more storage space and everything was fine. However there was a lot of other "room" in the studio. Lots of room near the door to park the double stroller, the couch was a very nice bed for DD, we didn't even unfold it, just pushed the leather otoman next to it to keep her from rolling out. There was room for the pack and play near the couch, but it was in front of the window. We were 1st floor, it made things easier (no waiting for elevator) but the 1st night I felt very unsafe. I think it was all in my mind, I was tried and paraonid. (and never slept on the 1st floor with a sliding door before. We were in the springs, I really recomend that location. We could park next to our room, it was near the fount, and a short walk across the lake bride to a really cool playground (go visist that, in the padocks.) DD LOVED the pool. She loved the slide, we enjoyed the donald area and it was very DVC feeling, lots of interaction from the resort staff with the kids and activities.

The spa was nice too, had a great message. DVC discount was nice too. :flower:

edited to add.   :cool1: :flower: Alice 28. So wonderful. I am so happy for your entire family! :goodvibes

DisPhd - It sounds likeyou had a nice trip. I miss Disney so much!

Lissawynn - your trip with your dad sounds like alot of fun. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Your dad sounds like the greatest guy. My dad hasn't even seen Aidan yet and hasn't seen his other grandchildren in two years. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like for him to babysit my kids evey day.

One of my students was so cute today. She wrote me a note about what a great teacher I am and handed to me with a pink Minnie Mouse pen from Disney World (she just got back). She said she thought of me when she was there. I thought that was so sweet :flower: . I just got back from the park with the kids. It was so nice. Aidan loved the swing. I wish the weather would just stay like this. Now he's taking a nap. My older two are so happy from the park that they are being incredibly nice to one another. What a great day! I need to enjoy this while it lasts. Oops, I spoke too soon. Emmy and Alex are starting to fight. Well, at least I don't feel like I'm in bizarro world any more.

I can't believe my son is in bed. He's been so cranky since I picked him up at my dad's. I, too, got a haircut (and color) today, but that's a regular 5 week thing for me.

DisKim - I'm glad you had a good time at the park. Hasn't the weather been beautiful the last few days? We're supposed to get colder weather and possibly some snow this weekend.

Alice - Yay that you got to spend time with DH and yay for the stent removal!

Val - That's great that you donate your hair. It's such a worthy cause.

I have 5x each to grade. I also want to watch Smallville. Tom Welling is so dreamy  .

Tomorrow afternoon I have to attend an advisors' meeting for our 8th grade academic competition. I am excited about this year's team. I hope they do well. They're an interesting mix of kids and I think they'll do well.

Have a good night all!

lissawynn - sorry about your coworker. It's hard to separate personal and work life sometimes. DH has an employee who is a complete b*tch at work everytime she breaks up with a boyfriend. DH is like "sorry that happened, but you still have to do your job".

tkyes - I hope your ankle feels better soon!

DisneyPhD - Welcome back. Hope you had a wonderful trip.

Vald - Good luck with the hair cut. I get nervous before a cut and I usually never take more than an inch or two off!

Alice28 -  That's so great! You must be ecstatic!

DisKim - How sweet of your student to think of you at WDW.

I did enjoy my lunch at Wendy's yesterday. :) They have a new dessert thing now - it's like a Frosty with Oreos, M&Ms, or Butterfingers in it. Of course, I didn't have one because bathing suit season is FAST approaching, but they looked really good. Good thing they didn't have Reeces in them or I'd have had one for sure. Peanut butter is my weakness.

Anyone have any exciting weekend plans? I don't think we're doing much of anything, but I can't stand sitting at home all day so I'm sure we'll get out of the house somehow.

Good morning! :sunny:

Alice28--Yippee!!! How exciting to see DH and double Yippee for getting the stent out! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

SL--Exciting weekend plans? Do you consider sitting around at home with 2 young children w/o DH exciting? :rotfl:

I getting really fed up with DH having to work 14hr days, including weekends. I feel really bad for the kids, b/c they don't understand where daddy is. He's trying to get a comp day the day before we leave for Disney, but if not he won't have a day off until Thursday. :headache: Welcome to corporate america! Yippee! Now DH is telling me that maybe he isn't ready to switch to another job, that he likes the one he had--Goody for me--I suppose I'm just supposed to be okay with being a psuedo-single parent from now on! Sorry for the mini rant! Better go--Matthew is up!
