DisKim- I think "Cowboy" will be fun to watch as well. It was interesting how he got rid of that other guy's headache.

bellacam- Homemade homefries and grilled banana bread sounds (as Jenna would say) delicious!!!

dizagain- Hope Carson's tummy feels better soon.

Hillbeans- Yes, someone online talked the boy into hanging himself while his father was out of town. It was a very sad story. The entire show was very disheartening to me. It frightens me what kids will be like when Jenna becomes a teenager. Good luck with the Potty Pager and Good Nites.

lissawynn- Enjoy the dance.

floridafam- I haven't been able to find our stuffed Target dog. I'm sure he is stuffed in the back of one of our closets. I'll keep looking.

Alice- I leave the computer on all day as well. Hope AF comes for a visit soon.

SL- Have fun at the party.

Tamie- Have fun at the rollerblade marathon.

TTFN!

SL, I agree about the tracking on the Disney site. Your brownies sound so delicious! And easy too with the peanut butter cups in them. Unfortunately now I feel like going to the store to find some, and that's the last thing I should eat if I want to make the walk to preschool worth it to lose this baby weight.

J&D, thanks for the #. I'll be giving them a call in a bit to find out where the costume is. And I wasn't too thrilled with Survivor either. I slept through it and watched the dvr today and I thought it would be better. Of course I'm sure I'll still end up wasting an hour of my week watching it.

Alice28, I have a ton of stuff to clean today too. I feel like that's all I do lately. Of course, probably cause it is. When my mom was here after Henry was born she totally rearranged stuff to her liking and it's taking me forever to find all my stuff and reorganize and everytime I try Madison finds stuff she wants to "help" with and makes the task much longer.

Floridafam, that's just it, they are total strangers cause so many of the people with points available have something like 5 posts in their name so it makes me skeptical. Turns out I only need 16 now instead of 24 cause my husband just told me that he actually booked our 1st WDW reservation till the 5th cause he thought Sunday was included in the higher point nights. So we'll only be sleeping at VB on the 5th and 6th. So it makes me feel a little better cause at least if I, God forbid, lost the money $160 is better than $240.

Lissawynn, hope the dance goes well for you tonight. Good luck clearing out your closet too-I'm sure that's a task you want to do right now. How have you been feeling lately? Is your new script working?

Hillbeans, wow, that's some drive for a Steelers game. Well, maybe if I were really into football I wouldn't think so. So I guess we'll be the lone mommies with nothing to do that day! Good luck with the potty pager. Funny that Kevin was dry when you put the pullup on him just like Madison was when I went back to pullups too. Maybe it is the whole pressure thing.

Bellacam, I'm glad you both came to an agreement you're happy with over the baby and your c-section date. I agree with you that it's best to just let that baby keep baking unless there's a really good definite reason not to. When my dr was planning my induction date he mentioned that if we did it too early and were wrong on the baby's size that we'd be kicking ourselves for taking him too early and possibly him not being fully developed yet.

DisKim, sorry that your kids were not cooperating yesterday. Why does it seem like that stuff is contagious? The other day Henry was fussy most of the day for the first time ever so I had no idea why or what to do with him and Madison was just as cheerful. It's like they work together.

I'm going to search around for some lunch for myself. We just went grocery shopping yesterday but I don't feel like cooking just for myself and I already fed Madison. Well sorta. I brought some stick cheese to the dr for her and then we stopped at Starbucks and I get her a fruit bowl and she claims to be full now. The dr was horrible today, I was so unprepared. They gave Henry a Hep B shot (which I thought he'd get at his 2 month check, not today so I didn't have any Tylenol for him) and then we had to get another bili blood draw cause he's still yellow. But instead of a heel prick today they took blood from a vein in his arm and I had to hold his arm still and keep him and the arm from moving. The phlebotomist kept moving the needle in and out of his vein and Henry was screaming, his whole body turned red, and he was desparately trying to move his arm. Madison was staring in horror and I was trying not to cry cause she looked so scared. She even told the phlebotomist not to put the needle in him anymore. Hopefully we do not have to stop breastfeeding, use formula for a day and retest him to see if it's breastmilk jaundice. I can't do it again so it will have to be when Joey has a day off. But I'm hoping if his levels are low enough we won't have to repeat it at all. Aside from that he looked good-12 lbs. 2oz and 23.25 inches. I can't believe he's that big already.

ETA: Tamie, enjoy your trip this weekend!

Justhat...so sorry about the Henry trauma today. I know what that's like. Hannah was dehydrated and they couldn't find a vein once and DH and I literally had to keep taking turns stepping outside of the room because it was too much to handle. I still get chills thinking of it and she was 4, not a baby which I'm sure was worse! Hope you don't have to go through it again!

Alice...hope your aunt has arrived!

Hey - I got into three pairs of capris and some jeans today - last time I tried they didn't button! Woo hoo!! I think I'll eat some of my hidden m&m's to celebrate! I keep a stash of chocolate hidden from the girls...they're getting good at finding my hiding places though, so I'm gonna have to go out of the kitchen. The thing is, I have the ability to stop after a little tiny bite or two - they do not and will sneak the whole darn bag within a few days!!

Enjoy those peanut butter cup brownies!

FloridaFam- I found a lot of stuff for my buddy too. I actually think I’m going to mail out my package tonight otherwise I see myself buying and buying!

Alice- I see you have the same problem as I do with spending on the exchange ;) I spent about $25 and I had to cut myself off.

SL- My class is a detailed review about being a title closer. You don’t have to be an attorney to be a title closer, but it could be good for me because you can make a couple of hundred dollars in a couple of hours and I’ll still get to meet attorneys in the real estate field.

Tykes- Glad to hear that Tyler’s bump is getting better. Have fun rollerblading!

I just finished a long brief (at last!) so I’m feeling pretty good. Apparently Olivia was feeling good too, because she had an incredible blowout moment. I may need to oxyclean the carpet a dab, but it’s too dark in here to be able to tell yet. The weather today is awful. It’s raining and I hear some thunder getting closer. Hopefully we don’t lose power. I wouldn’t have a clue as to where the flashlight is. At least the laptop runs on a battery, so I could use that for light if necessary. In any case, I don’t feel like leaving the house anytime soon, but I do need to stop at the office.

Time to get ready (and get Olivia some new clothes).

 Hi all,
Once again I have been keeping up with reading but haven't had a chance to post  .

GLT and Joats,
I hope both of your dh's are doing better now.

Robin,
I'm so happy that your friend's dh is getting better. I did say a prayer for him even though I didn't get to post. We leave for Disney in 8 days :cheer2: !

Justhat,
I hope the costume turns up. I hate when I have to wait for things :furious: . Your post about Henry's bili draw brought tears to my eyes. Poor little guy. I hope his levels aren't high enough for another draw :(

SL,
Peanut Butter brownies sound yummy!

Tamie,
I hope Tyler is feeling better. Too funny about the hot body pics :rotfl: .

Bellacam,
I'm glad to hear you are doing well. You are getting so close now.

GM,
How exciting about school. I hope you find your missing dish.

Hillbeans,
I would also go back to pull-ups at night. I've never heard of the pager thing. Sounds pretty neat.

Fabumouse,
I hope you are doing well and that the bedwetting issue is short-lived.

Dizagain,
How nice of Hannah to give you a bit of a break from the baby-pacing. Believe me I've been there and done that ;).

BnB,
Too funny about Jocelyn's hip comment :lmao: .

Nucpharm,
Just wondering if you ever got your dsl hooked. I can't remember if you said you did or not.

Lissawynn,
How is the stronger indegestion med working for you? I have a funny feeling you are going to have another boy.

FF,
Your cooking always makes me hungry ;).

Diskim,
I haven't shopped for my exchange buddy yet either. I figured I would check out the goodies they had at Disney first :) .

Loretta,
I have to say I really enjoy working so I understand your desire to have some adult time once in a while.

Tasha,
It sounds like Kylie is a little peanut. I thought Katrina was small for her age but Kylie sounds like the same size and she is a few months older.

Gems,
I'm so sorry you are having a rough time with your co-workers :grouphug: . I think it's awful the way they are acting.

J&D,
I was disappointed with the ending of Rockstar as well. I really liked Toby and Storm. I haven't gotten to browse through your books yet but I did receive the pm. Thanks.

Jill,
I hope school is going well.

Hi to everybody I may have missed .

I have been suffering with a cold the past couple of days. I've been wiped at night but I have a ton of stuff going on. Ds's birthday is tomorrow so we are having some people over for cake and a bbq. We'll save the real party for after vacation. Of course I still need to get my house in order no matter if it's a big or small party  .

The baby shower went very well. Everyone liked the games especially the one with setting the timer while opening the gifts. I made my tv baby quiz too hard though, apparently. The person who won only had four answers right.

Thanks so much to all for the tips on traveling with the baby. You all had some great ideas.

I think I'm going to try and squeeze in a little nap. This cold is just zapping my energy. I'll talk to you all soon.

Oh, Justine.....I'm SO SORRY you had to go through that with Henry! :grouphug: How awful. :guilty: Take it easy this afternoon, what a trauma for all of you.

Well, DH came home early and we went to lunch, just us with Molly. My, how simple it is with just 1. Then we went to Sam's school cause he got a positive person award. Molly didn't care for sitting thru the assembly.

I need to let my food settle (we had Italian) and then I need to work out. I did at least get most of my cleaning done, except for laundry and the downstairs bathroom. I'm watching my soap, and this one actor they got to come back is so HOT, I can hardly stand it. I usually am not ga-ga over actors, but he is so sexy!

GM- hope the carpet gets clean! Those kind of blowouts are always so much fun... It was sucky weather here yesterday- raining, hailing, raining again. And people were acting like FOOLS in the stores and on the road- the first major rainstorm in 3-4 months and people act like they don't know how to drive/act. Hello, people, we live in Portland, 'member? It rains a lot here.

Val- I hope your cold clears up soon! I'm going to do that baby shower timer game too; that's a goodie I had not heard of before. 7 more days! 7 more days! 7 more days! Please, please, please at least walk by the funnel cake kiosk in the WS and take a sniff for me. I want one. But I want one there, where I can sit on a pretty bench in Italy and eat it ever so slowly. (one at the local stupid kiddie amusement park will just not do!).

Tamie- I want to move my stomach too! I think sometimes, "Geez, if I exercised this much 10 years ago, I would have easily dropped 10-15 pounds by now...easily." The metabolism change in one's 30s really blows.

J&D- I wish I had Cao Boi around when I had a headache! Seriously! I have considered acupuncture at times; I think a lot of the eastern methods of medicine have some merit. The tribe he is on seems pretty strong overall- I like them. The guys seem strong with good attitudes, and the girls too. We shall see how it all plays out! I see the show already as demonstrating that it doesn't matter what color your skin is, but how you get along with other people- no matter what situation you are put in....that is the goal of Survivor. To be able to play the social aspect of it successfully. Just MHO.

Anyhoo, time to go scrub the bathroom during the commercial break.

I don't have time to catch up right now, but I had to tell all of you about my wonderful day at work  .

It started out normal. However, the rain this morning was like nothing I ever saw before. My second period seniors came in and we started making jokes about building an ark. Well, we should have. Just after that comment, we heard the fire drill go off. We all just looked at each other as if we were going to kick the *** of whoever pulled it. We had to go out. What can you do. It's the law. I had trash bags in my closet so I passed those out. I only had 12 students in that class so I told them to pile into my van because there was no way I was going to let them stand out in the monsoon with lightning. After about 15 minutes, we saw everyone heading into the cafeteria so we went in to see what was going on. It turns out there was a fire on the roof and the water from the rain was running into electrical wires, etc. So...they sent us back to second period where we stayed for THREE HOURS until they finally got the buses through. It was bedlam. There were students wandering all over the school which was still on fire to my knowledge. Suddenly, tons of students were pouring into the upstairs hallways. It turns out that the poorly designed new addition to our school was flooding. The last I heard, there was 3 feet of water in the downstairs hallways. After we finally got the kids out, we were told we couldn't leave! Nice. Then, I went to get that paycheck I was so excited about and looked to see how much more I was making this year (I got a 3K raise). There was only another $20 in my paycheck!! How does a 3K raise translate to 20 bucks per paycheck??? I was thinking I'd be up about $150-$200 a month. WTH?? So, I came home bedraggled, wet and very pissed off. Every administrator in my school should be fired. The funniest part was our assistant superintendant was yelling at all the kids to get off their cell phones. Are you kidding me? The school is on fire and is flooding and you are worried about them calling their parents. It was probably because he is afraid of the lawsuits he SHOULD get. Well, on the positive side, I am now bonded forever with my seniors after squeezing into a car with them and spending 3 hours with them.

Well, I thought you would all enjoy hearing about my wonderful job. You just can't make this stuff up. I was waiting for the plague of locusts to come.

I have to go take Emmy to riding lessons. The owner just called. I thought for sure they would be closed but she is still holding lessons. Fun.

Afternoon all!

I just woke up from a little catnap--Emma was watching LazyTown and I fell asleep--and now she and Matthew are napping, so I thought I'd have a little "me" time and jump on the DIS!!!

val--yes, we are all hooked up and good to go. funny, thought, I just noticed today that the cable company just now finished the cable box in front of our house-what's that 7 weeks after we moved in???? Too long for me! Congrats on your trip being so close!!!!! Have fun with the bday party!

Justhat--Hugs to you after that Dr's appt. I wish I had some pts. to rent you for your trip--we only have like 5 left for this year--that's what we get for going to Disney during Premiere season!! :rotfl: Eats up all our points!

Alice--hope you get a visit from your "auntie" soon! Great on getting all the cleaning done. A good friend of mine had their basement finished when we were in WI (and of course I was nosy and wanted to know how much $$$ they spent) so, it was 16K to have theirs finished--it had a slab floor and poured cement walls but nothing else. They had an escape window cut into their foundation and it was the biggest expense, but I guess from what she told me that they cheaped out on everything else, otherwise it would have easily run over 20K

tkyes--have fun on your trip! :thumbsup2

GM--sorry about the blow-out--Hate those! Hope your weather improves, we've been spoiled here all week, with wonderful sunny weather in the 70-80s for highs! :sunny:

dizagain--congrats on being able to get into your pants again!! :woohoo: Eat some M&M for me

SL--those brownies sound delish! I have some brownie mix in the cupboard, maybe I'll whip up some tonight!

Well, my little man has just woken up! Will catch up with the rest later! Have a great Friday afternoon and evening! It's pizza night for us!! Yummo!! :cool1:

Hi gang! I only have a quick second--Luke has a cold. Nothing horrible, he's just congested, but the only way he'll sleep today is in my arms--if I make the slightest move towards the crib, his little eyes pop open. I actually got a butt cramp at the computer earlier! He did sleep through the night okay last night, so I'm hoping he'll do the same tonight.

Justthat--it's so awful when you have to hold a little one down for a blood draw like that! I hope everythig is good for Henry's blood work and you don't have to do it again any time soon.

Gina--I hear you on the blowout--Luke had one today that didn't get on the floor, but blew out up his back to his shoulder blades. Naturally, this happened when Celeste was finishing lunch and had to go up to nap, and I literally had him in the sink to hose him down. I had to do a lot of laundry (his clothes, onesie, changing pad, and the cloth diapers I grabbed when I realized just how bad it was). At least it was a GAP outfit, not a Gymboree!

Kim--What a wild day at school for you! I'll bet your students will be telling their grandchildren stories about this someday. If I lived in that district, I'd be totally po'd that the new (and, I'm sure, far from cheap) addition would be so shoddy. I hope that no students got hurt. And about the cell phones--I would be FRANTIC if my kid were in that school, and couldn't be reached! I know there are rules, but it wasn't exactly a typical day. I hope everything is okay for school on Monday (although you probably wouldn't mind the day off).

Val--I have to second Robin's request on the funnel cake! I was looking longingly at the kiosk when we were there, but on the 3 meal a day plan, I was getting too many calories as it was. Of course, splitting it 5 ways wouldn't have been a lot of food, but I get the cheaps. The one place I wish I'd spent more time was World Showcase. And sadly, I'm already thinking about our next trip--in 8/08! I hope you have a lovely time. You are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Soarin'!

Robin--I think the whole race thing on Survivor is way overblown. I know there are still bigots in this country and all, but I always cheer for someone based on their personality. Or their bod (okay--I'm shallow. But did you SEE Yul's abs?)

I have to run, Mr. McFussy is calling.

Good evening ladies! :teeth:

Time for a quick study break! Actually, I need to get Katie from soccer practice in a bit and then take her to the party store to get goody bags and crafts for her sleepover birthday party next week. I’m hoping to get out and get my exchange buddy her gifts this weekend so I can mail them off on Monday!

Justhat – I’m sorry to hear about Henry’s blood draw today. :grouphug: That must have been just awful for you all. I hope that this was the last of the bili tests for him. I hope that Madison’s costume comes soon too!

Val – Take it easy and I hope you feel better. Not too much longer until your trip!! Have a Kaki Gori for me in the WS!

Ginamarie – Blowouts are John’s specialty! ;) He is a man that loves to poop! I hope that the stains come out for you and I’m glad that you enjoyed your class the other night.

Hillbeans – Meagan and Katie had trouble wetting at night. The doctor’s attributed it to their low tone (as well as being deep sleepers) so we gave it time and when they were around 5 we tried the alarms you have mentioned. Those worked pretty well! :thumbsup2 Good luck with everything!

DisKim – Holy Moly about the day you had!! :grouphug: I’m glad to hear that no one is hurt, but what chaos at the school. Sorry to hear that your raise didn’t translate into the $ you were hoping. That same thing happened to me when I got a raise and it looked good ‘on paper’ until I got this miniscule amount in my paycheck.

J&D - No, I didn’t see that special on cruel intentions. How horrible that girls use the internet to bully. Ugh. I’m not looking forward to the teenage years. Meagan can sometimes get taken advantage of by kids b/c she just wants to be liked and she has been hurt before. I’m afraid of what the middle school years are going to be like at times.

Lissawynn – Congrats on the $$$ for the addition!

Bellacam – Hang in there! It sounds like you and your dh are on the right path with everything! :grouphug: John was a pre-term c-section. Not because of his size being big, but b/c he stopped growing and I was extremely low on amniotic fluid. Thankfully, his lungs were perfectly developed so that was a relief. Keep us posted on how everything is going.

Joats – Ouch about your dh’s bulging disk! Good luck with the orthopedic doctor!

SL – How was Lucas’ today? John is starting to transition to one nap and boy is he a fusspot when he gets tired. I feel so bad for him. Have fun tomorrow at your nephew’s first birthday party. Those brownies sound so good!

Robin – Your trip to Europe sounds heavenly! Can I go too? ;) As far as Sam’s schoolwork, gosh I hope the teacher starts to give less. Or at least not make them have their in class work be their homework.

Dizagain – How is Carson doing today? Too funny about Hayley’s tummy situation moving north! Congrats on the pants fitting too! :cool1:

Fabumouse – Good luck with pull ups. :wizard: Both my girls had to wear them for a bit until they could make it through the night without accidents.

Tamie – Good luck with the basement! We had ours finished the year after we moved here and it was the best money ever spent. You are cracking me up with the bikini pictures. :lmao: I could stand to post some of those around the house in order to motivate myself too.

Nucpharm – Pizza night sounds delicious!

BNBmom – I hope that Luke feels better!

GLT – How is your dh feeling?

Floridafam – Have a nice relaxing weekend!

Hi to Zalansky, Gems, Ryan840, Gretchen, Cabmom, DisneyPhd, Tasha and everyone! :wave2:

Well, I better run and pick up Katie. Dave is with John at the moment and Meagan just left to go to a football game with her friends. I don’t remember ever being into HS football when I was her age, but a friends’ mom offered to take them all tonight. It should be fun for all of them. This weekend will be filled with soccer and studying so nothing too exciting going on here.

Everyone have a great weekend! :sunny:

justhat,

I'm so sorry you had to go through that today. Poor little Henry. I hope Madison is okay. :grouphug:

I don't know anyone over on the rent/trade board. I took a look and couldn't find anyone that I recognized.

We used to pay cash to stay at Vero before we joined DVC. We often got a discounted rate. You may want to check mousesavers.com because they have info on the Birnbaum rate. It may be slightly more than renting points but would give you peice of mind. Unfortunately, we won't have more points until next year.

We are getting pizza tonight and watching tv. That's it. Everyone is ready to relax.

See you all later.

DisKim- What a nightmare day!

All this talk about brownies got me in the mood for them. So I told DSis we could bake some brownies or cake when she comes over. Mmmmm junk food! Of course I haven’t eaten any real food today. I’ve been much too busy to cook. OK, time to get home and get ready for the sleepover :-)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :Pinkbounc

I don't have much time to post since DH has a paper due tonight. He's eating now so I hopped on.

Justhat - OMG! I'm so sorry you had to go through that with Henry. Poor little boy!

I fell in love with the horse Emmy rode today. She was just the sweetest horse I ever saw. Emily and I were just smitten  . Emily combed her mane so she would look very pretty.

Darn, DH is back. I guess my DIS time is over :guilty: .

DisKim, that is a terrible situation that you had to go through at your school today. It was so nice of you to keep all your kids in your car though. Reminds me of my senior year English teacher who loaded us into a school van one day and took us to Dunkin Donuts. We had block scheduling that year so no one ever missed it and it was a great bonding moment-obviously since I still remember it fondly almost 9 years later. The paycheck thing stinks though and I'd expect it to be a bit more than you got too.

Ginamarie, enjoy your sleepover! I think it's so cute that your little sister misses you and Olivia already. At least you're still close by so you can do fun things like that with your siblings.

Floridafam, that was my initial thought, to buy that book and get the 20% off like you suggested awhile ago. But it's only 8 points/night so I didn't think I could get close to $80/night to stay there. I'll have to call CRO and check on the rate since I can't find any of that info online. If it's a negligible difference then we'll pay cash just cause it seems like everyone with points to rent is a new poster and after that scammer last month I'm a bit suspicious. Enjoy your relaxing night at home.

Jill, I know how hard it is to find reliable childcare that you can trust at an afforable rate in this area so I try to help local friends when possible. And hey, you were willing to come out here to watch Madison when I went into labor, which as it turned out would have meant driving into the city during morning rush hour in the Route 66 parking lot. So anyone willing to do that deserves the favor in return! I'm glad you found someone more local who can watch John though. I'm sure it will be much easier to get work done without that cute little face to distract you. ;) When is Katie's birthday?

BnB, I hope Luke is feeling better soon. Amazing how fast the germs start flying once school in back in session. Madison got her first cold of the season today too so I know it's just a matter of time for Henry.

Nucpharm, that was our big issue with buying into dvc, that we could only go during the expensive times with my husband's schedule at the time so we would have needed too many points. Of course, if we had bought it back then (2002) it would have been so much cheaper and we'd have points to use now! Hope you enjoyed the nap today-I love afternoon catnaps! Oh, and we had to wait 6 or 7 weeks before we had cable in this place too. You'd think the middle of DC would be fully wired for cable. :confused3

Alice28, your lunch sounds like it was nice and relaxing. Well, as much as one can be with a 1.5yo! ;) Have you tried acupressure for your headaches? A math teacher I had in high school learned acupressure to help her husband with pain relief (he was dying of cancer and was at the point where there were no more meds left to take) and she'd do something with the back of your neck for a headache and it was like a miracle cure. Basically, she'd push her thumbs into a space on either side of the center of your neck and you'd lean backwards into her thumbs till the pain was gone. You can do it yourself too if you can figure out a tool of sorts to use in place of someone else's thumbs.

Vald, I can't believe your trip is so soon! Have fun! Happy birthday to your son. Is he going to be 7?

Dizagain, that story with your daughter sounds terrible. It's so hard to watch your kids be in pain. Congrats on the clothes and I'd say eat some M&Ms for me, but I took care of that for myself already. I hid Madison's M&Ms from her cause she'd eat the whole bag (and it is an actual bag that she filled from those color bins, so a lot of M&Ms), but of course now I am. ;)

Henry's waking so I should get him out of his swing before he gets upset. He's been through enough today. He's actually slept since we got home around 1pm, waking twice to eat and then immediately going back to sleep. So I guess his dr visit took a lot out of him. And since I was the good mommy who made his 1 month checkup 2 weeks late, he gets to go back in less than a month for the 2 month checkup with 4 shots. Maybe my husband can take his day off that day cause I don't want to be the mean one again! Maybe I'll watch Nanny 911 while I cuddle with him on the couch so I can feel better about my parenting skills. ;)

Holy cow on your day, Diskim! I can't believe it took three hours to get the students released and then the teachers were expected to stay in a flooded and on fire building  .

Jill,
I hope you have a nice low-key weekend. Kaki gori sounds good right now since I have a scratchy throat :) .

Nucpharm and FF,
Pizza sounds yummy right now. I have a craving for one.

GM,
Have fun with your sis tonight :) .

Justhat,
Poor Henry. I hope you have some nice cuddle time together. I have a bad habit of eating ds' candy too :rolleyes1 .

BnB,
I hope Luke sleeps well for you tonight and feels better soon.

Robin,
Wandering through WS is one thing I am so looking forward to on this trip. I just love all the little shops and such. I'll be sure to smell the funnel cakes for you ;) . I really should get going on getting prepared for this trip. It hasn't really sunk in yet that it is so soon. I think once we get through ds' birthday then I'll get hyped.

Well, I just did a marathon cleaning of the house. At least it has the illusion of clean. As long as you don't peek in the master bedroom of course and see the 4 loads of clean laundry waiting to be folded  . That will just have to wait.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend  .

Ahhh....I just got back from the mall....by MYSELF! DH had no problem with me getting out for an hour or so without any kids. I sat in Barnes and Noble for 30 minutes and browsed thru many a Paris/France guidebook. Didn't buy anything though, but that's one thing I find IMPOSSIBLE to do with kids- browse at bookstores at the section *I* want to look at.

Then I went to the candy shop to get one last exchange gift. :rolleyes1 And maybe a little piece or two for myself. And then I HAD to stop in Chili's to get some chicken crispers to go and I shared with DH, Josh and Molly. That is way too much food for just me, but wow, was it GOOD. Dh was like, "Why didn't you bring some for me?" I swear gals, EVERY time I am out and call him to offer to bring him something, he says no. Then he was swooning over the chicken so I said, "You know, we can always go back tomorrow or Sunday for lunch or dinner! There's no shortage of chicken crispers!" :rotfl:

Kim- I cannot believe you had to sit in your van for THREE HOURS with your students. I simply cannot believe the stupid school authorities simply didn't dismiss students 30-60 minutes into that whole ordeal. That is lame, lame, lame. And yes, I bet you bonded with those students! I know I would have!

Jill- I would love to have you come along to Europe with us! But, hopefully we ladies will all at least be able to traipse along the World Showcase in 21 months or so. :teeth: We can all share a few funnel cakes, kaki goris, croissants, etc and say the calories don't count cause we're sharing. Right? ;)

Val- I love all the shops in the WS too. My mom and I had such a marvelous time doing that last trip. I will always remember it. My favorites this last trip were the kitchen shop in France, and the bazaar or whatever it is called in Mexico. Usually I love the lotion shop in England, but I was fighting a headache so I didn't want to smell all those strong scents. My mom brought me back some of those Bronnley soaps from the UK, and I finally opened one last night- it smells so beautiful! Good for you for doing a big clean today! I know I did one, but when I walked back in the house from my 90 minute sojourn, I wasn't so sure I really had....funny how quickly things get messy again.

BNB- Yep, I saw Yul's abs. Whoa momma! And I also liked JP's (I think it was JP- on the Hispanic tribe) face! And Brad was kinda cute too. :teeth:

Oops- gotta run! I forgot a pizza is in the oven!

Robin - I wasn't in my van for 3 hours. It was only about 15 minutes. We were permitted to go into the cafeteria for a while and then back to our classrooms.

Val - I can't believe your trip is so close. One of my students is going the same week. She said her mom is crazy about Disney and had to go when it is less crowded and during free dining. I told her that I totally understand and that I'm jealous.

Aidan is up already. He went to bed at 5pm last night and never even had dinner. He was so exhausted because I picked him up from the sitter's right when he had gone down for his nap. Alex's soccer game is cancelled today because of the soaking wet fields. OK, I'm going to go cuddle with Aidan if he'll let me.

Good morning ladies. I didn't go to the dance last night. My indigestion has reached new levels and I was feeling terrible by the end of the school day. Also, my grading program decided to play games with me and I was at school until almost 4 trying to get things fixed. Luckily the very patient customer support guy in California was able to help me (2x). I did get things fixed and got all my grades squared away. I did not get my test finished, though. I think I'm just going to make the test so that all my students can take it. It's that or make about three different versions of one test.

I took ALL of my clothes out of my closet last night. After I can fit into my normal clothes, please don't every let me say that I have nothing to wear. I have so much stuff. I even have stuff stored in the basement. I really need to weed through my stuff and get rid of the stuff I'm not wearing anymore.

I have a lot of stuff to do today, but I'd really like to go to the mall. I need something to wear to a wedding next Saturday, I'd like to check out what's at Gymbo, and Macy's is doing the $5 shopping pass for a 20% discount. Sometimes they have great discounts on their baby stuff. I could use some sleepers or gowns. I love those when the baby is little.

I'm gonna read what I missed yesterday.

DisKim - I can't believe you had to stay in your building for 3 hours until buses arrived. Isn't there some other building you'd use in case of an evacuation? We evacuated our high school once and walked about 1 1/2 blocks to what used to be our jr. high. We sat there until buses came for the kids. We also stood outside for 45 minutes on very cold winter day when I was pg with Jimmy. I finally got in my car and waited until they called us back.
I got my first paycheck on Thursday that had my "raise" for this year. I got about $100. I'm not sure if my union dues came out or not. I have to check my pay stub.

Ginamarie - Jimmy had many a blowout when he was young. Now it's just pee from drinking too much before bed. I hope you have a good sleepover and that your brownies turn out well.

justthat - I would have been horrified if I had to hold Jimmy's arm while he was poked and prodded with a needle. I feel awful when he gets his shots. I'm hoping he's feeling better today.

Alice - You shopping trip sounds great. I'm thinking that if DH gets done what he wants today, he can keep Jimmy tonight while I go to the mall. We'll see.

Val - Good job with the cleaning! Want to come to my house? ;)

floridafam - We did pizza last night, too. It was really good. Until I started burping...

Jill - I hope you get all of your errands done this weekend!

BnB - I hope Luke is feeling better today.

nucpharm - It must have been pizza night on the mom's board. Hope yours was good!

I think I hear Jimmy stirring. I'll chat with you all later today. :wave2:

Good morning! I just have a second because Luke is awake--DH has the older two kids on a bus trip to Mystic Aquarium, so I'm flying solo with the younger two. Even though I'm a girl scout leader, it didn't make sense for me to go and bring Luke and have to schlepp him all over. Plus, my parents are buried in the cemetery right across the street, and Robert wants to visit their grave site. Which we're fine with, but it would be one more thing to drag Luke to, and frankly, visiting their grave doesn't do anything for me. Maybe it should, but it just makes me sad, not any better or anything.

Luke was a fuss pot all night, and then DH had to get up at 4:30 for this trip, but of course, he gets to sleep on the bus. So, I'm just exhausted.

Robin--I love all those World Showcase shops, too. We really like Germany, with the teddy bear shop and the candy store, and the Christmas ornaments are my favorite. Morocco is fun, too. I really would have loved to spend more time there, but at least I didn't spend $$! And they'll be there when I get back.

I have to go.
