FF - Yes that's what it is, what does the surgery involve? I am so worried about her, she is so small to be having surgery.

GM- you are brave taking on the re covering of your sofa! I don't think I would and I enjoy that kind of thing too! :teeth:

SL - I thought Mr and Mrs Smith was a good movie for a bit of escape, DH liked it b/c of Angelina?

Well it's Saturday morning here and I have just got showered and Shelby and I have both had breakfast so I think we will go out for a while to the garden centre, I feel like buying a new Yankee Candle today, not sure what scent though, I was burning "Happy Christmas " last night it smelt YUM!!
DH is at work til 2pm then when he comes home I think we will go to Costco and we need to get stair gates as Shelby has managed to climb two steps now!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Speak to you all later. :wave2:

T16GEM,

From what I understand, the surgeons will cut away the section of the bowel that has the pouch in it-a bowel resection.

I'm so sorry she is in the hospital but I am glad they know what is wrong and that it can be corrected. She shouldn't have any future problems after the surgery. I'm so glad she doesn't have to suffer with this any longer.

DD has been a completely different person since her surgery. We must have taken her to the hospital 20 times for blood in her diaper and constipation, etc. They always thought the blood was from fissures. It all came to a head when she was 5. She started throwing up about a month before her surgery for no reason. Anyway, she started having symptoms of an appendicitis and we took her in and the rest is history.

She is now a happy little girl with no pain.

I'll be praying for your neice. I know that it will be hard to think of her having surgery but she will be fine and she will be the happiest little baby after the operation.

Please let us know how she is doing. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Morning ladies! Still no cable or internet here, but that will change next week.DH called the cable company again, and they still couldn't give us a date for install--said it would be "A while longer" Anyway, DH was finally fed up, yah think?, so we're going the DSL and Dish network route. Not a moment too soon for me! So after Wed. next week, I can surf the net at lightening speed!!! Yeah for me!!!!!

I haven't had time to catch up but I hope everyone is well. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone! Seeing all the posts about costumes; I can't believe that Halloween is a little more than 2 months away! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Hey everyone. DH is at the bank talking to the mortgage lady. He has to show her the signed contract and plans, etc. I have no idea what we're doing today. I don't want to do anything, but I doubt that's an option. We did nothing last night. DH took Jimmy out for a walk to tire him out. He hasn't been too keen on an earlier bedtime, but there's no way I can stay up until 10 or 11 when I have to get up for school.

J&D - Thanks for the costume link. I think Jimmy is going to be a lion this year. My mom got my nephew the costume a few years ago and it's beautiful. I just have to teach him to roar.

Val - Congrats on the job! Anytime you want to send some fudge this way, go for it! ;)

Robin - Good luck with your contest. That WDW trips sounds great.

nucpharm - I hope you get your DSL hooked up soon. I don't know how you've done it w/o cable and the net.

gems - :grouphug: to your family. I hope your niece pulls through her surgery like a champ.

ginamarie - Good luck with the couch. It sounds like quite an undertaking.

zalansky - We live in the boonies, and the cost of homes here has gone crazy. Our taxes keep going up and it's ridiculous.

hillbeans - You're probably on your way to OC by now. Have a great week!

SL - I'm sure whatever costume you choose, Lucas will look like a doll!

floridafam - Thank goodness your daughter's surgery was a success and she's not in pain any longer.

Btw, I'm back on the Unisom/B6. I just can't take the throwing up any more.

Morning!

j&d - Thanks for all the halloween costume links and the link to babystyle. They have the cutest stuff on there! Sorry for all of your ebay trouble, I would be very frustrated.

val - Congrats on the job!!!

gem - OMG, your poor neice (and her family). I hope everything goes well. I would love to make a growth chart for Shelby. DH is checking into getting a box that fits the chart and I'll let you guys know as soon as he finds one. He's waiting on an email from someone at work who is out of the office until Tuesday.

nucpharm- Hi  How frustrating that they don't have things hooked up for you yet. Enjoy your DSL and DISH

ginamarie - Recovering the couch sounds like quite a project! Good for you for doing it though, much cheaper than a new couch! You'll have to show us pics when you're done.

sl - Did you like Mr. and Mrs. Smith? DH and I were pleasantly surpised. Some parts were very funny.

hillbeans - Have fun at the shore!

ff - I can't believe that Dr. is still practicing medicine! How awful!

justthat - Wow, that sounds like an amazing vacation!!

zalansky - Hi!

alice - That would be a great contest to win!!

bnb - Glad you had fun at the zoo.

Our trip to the zoo yesterday was fun. I got stung by a bee on my pinkie finger. OUCH! It's crazy how something that little, hurts so much. It still actually hurts a tiny bit today and is still swollen.

DH and Tyler left for our friends cabin. I'm going to take a bath and then scrapook the day away!!

Have a good day everyone!

Tamie

Hey Ladies!
Sounds like last night was rent a movie night. I rented March of the Penguins, but fell asleep less than 1/2 way into it. I'm so exhausted this week. DH is still on "bed rest" by his MD and I'm losing my marbles!!!!! He's in a lot of pain, but it's killing me to have to do everything. Gosh, that sounds so selfish. It's just that I am very lucky in the fact that DH and I are 50/50 when it comes to Jace and household stuff. For the past few weeks it's mostly just been me and I've had to cancel 2 things fun for myself that I was really looking forward to - and I hardly ever get "Me" time. I feel horrible for complaining, but I'm so frustrated that all this time resting and he's still no better. ARGH! And poor DH who feels like crap knows I'm frustrated.

Anyhow...
Love the photo of Madison, Nick and baby Henry, Justhat.
Congrats Val!
So sorry to hear that so many of you have lossed parents/siblings. I can't imagine what it must be like - so sad.
Gems: Did I read you are having a boy? How cool if so. Positive thoughts for you niece!!
Tamie: Sorry to hear about your bee-sting - they hurt!! I sent you another PM about the growth chart.
Floridafam: How awful about your DD illness. So glad that she is doing well now.
nucpharm: Glad to hear you will be up and running on the Internet at full speed soon.
J&D: thanks for the costume links.
Hi to all the other moms I've missed.

Halloween costumes: I ordered Jace's online at Iparty. I've yet to get a confirmation # and I have emailed to inquire about my order with no response. I am so mad! Jace is going disco in a sequined blue jump suit! I love Disco music (although I'm more of a Led Zeppelin girl). In my family we have a Halloween party for the kids to display their costumes that have been a secret until the party unvailing. I think my family will get a good laugh of Jace decked out in disco garb.

Jace is napping at the moment. THis morning Jace and I went to see my 6 y/o niece at her ice skating lesson and then we went to the diner for brunch afterwards. I'm trying to figure out what to do with Jace today. DH is down for the count and I don't feel like staying indoors all day. I may go visiting friends or something.

I'd better go clean up around here before muchkin man wakes up.
:)

Hi All. I've missed ya!

Val - congrats on the job, the hours sound great!

Gems - prayers to your neice. Yeah to Shelby for starting to climb steps -- though that'll make life more challenging for you. Leif climbed the first steps he saw with no encouragement, amazing how they just go.

Justhat - love the pic of Henry and Madison. Sorry Henry has to go through that procedure and all the recovery. At least he won't remember it, and all will be taken care of while he is young. :grouphug: As a mom it's never easy to see your little one go through anything tough.

Joats - sorry DH is still feeling icky. :wizard: Hope he feels better soon. Has Jace recovered from his surgery fully? Would love to see some new pics!

Ryan - I think you mentioned that you are closing this week, correct? If so, congrats and good luck!

lissawynn - getting those sleep schedules in tact is such a PITA. I am going to have to make my kids practice waking up adn getting dressed right away in order to be ready for school. Lately a.m.'s have been super lazy, I will miss that! School days change everything!

FF - hi

nucpharm - glad you will have service soon! I hope you are all settled in and enjoying your new home.

Tamie - the zoo sounds like fun. It's been on my list to do, and we have never done it. And summer's about done :guilty: Sorry about the bee sting. I got stung earlier this summer on my back and it hurt for days. DD got stung on her foot and was fine later that day, I guess everyone heals differently from those things.

J&D - All your links and discounts and tips are wonderful! :thumbsup2 Thank you for always sharing.

GM - good luck with the couch. and the packing.

Hillbeans - have a great getaway.

zalansky - it's amazing how quickly money disappears. It's sad :guilty:

bnb - we made the blueberry pie yesterday. The kids loved it. Do you usually store it in the fridge or on the counter? DD said it didn't taste as good today. I don't like blueberries, so I ddn't try it. . .

Bellacam, hello. I know I saw a post on here from you, but can't recall what it said, sorry! Hi and happy thoughts your way!

Robin - Hi! Hope all is going okay with all your crazy and nosy neighbors.

DD was invited to be a YMCA Springer -- that is the competitive gymnastics team. They have meets January-March most every weekend. Parents are obligated to take work shifts during home competitions. DH has already said he won't "volunteer" so it's all on me. I need to decide if we should do it this year, or wait one more year. Otherwise I'd just put her in a class for her skill level. It'd be fun for her to be a "cool" gymnast. And she has done some things with the girls already, so I'm not quite sure what to do. She is young, so it's not like this will make/break her gymnastics career, but it could be a positive way for her to use her energy.

Leif takes steps by himself here and there, but never more than 5 or 6. I am sure he will be cruising in no time. I can't believe my little bundle is almost one (b'day Sept. 1) and I can't believe I'm still nursing. I never thought I'd nurse this long. Now I don't know how to stop :rotfl2:

Take care moms!! We have no big weekend plans. So I'll probably be DISing, if I'm lucky!

/
Morning all~

Tamie- I hope your finger doesn't interfere with your scrapping! Hope you get lots done.

Z- I hear ya about housing prices. It's ridiculous. It seems to afford anything really nice, either you need to have an inheritance, or both adults need to work their tails off at well-paying jobs. I kind of got over my anxiety attack earlier this week about moving- now that everything is cleaned up again, I think we can make our house work. It's hard though, when many people we know have much bigger and nicer houses than us. Oh well!

lissawynn- a lion would be cute for Jimmy. I guess I am behind the ball, cause all I have done so far is just glanced at TDS online for costumes. I think we may go to Costco today and see if they have theirs in yet.

We watched a movie last night too- Wedding Crashers. It was funny. Got a little long there in the end. Vince Vaughn cracks me up. :rotfl:

GLT- wow, what a decision to make about DD and gymnastics. It sounds like quite a committment! I hope you are able to have a quiet weekend. :cloud9:

Joats- What is your DH sick with again? I'm sorry you had to cancel some 'me time'- I hate that. I have a spa appt in 2 weeks and I'm so looking forward to it- I would totally have my nose out of joint if I had to cancel. Jace as a disco dancer is the biggest crack up ever! He will be the hit of the party!

J&D- I'm sorry that ebay seller wasn't truthful with you - I'm glad she refunded part of your money back. I had to do that once- I sold a box of USED baby clothes, that I said were in gently used condition, no tears, some very SLIGHT stains, and this woman bought it and then had a cow at me that it all wasn't perfect. So, I had to refund her half her money. I think used clothing is the hardest this to buy/sell because it's subjective. Usually I haven't had any problems, but it can leave a sour taste in your mouth for sure when one comes up.

Gems- I love Yankee candles too. Again, please keep us posted on your niece. :grouphug:

Nucpharm- I would be :furious: :furious: :furious: about the cable! I'm glad you were able to check in! We miss you.

I need to get in the shower and start my day. Not sure what it entails. Tomorrow we are going to a BBQ at neighbor's house for a "street bash". Oh goodie. It's at the neighbor's house who said, "I had to work hard for everything I ever had".They have a huge yard and patio, so their house makes sense, and it's nice of them to do this. They are providing all the hot dogs and burgers and drinks, we all bring a side. I think I am going to show off and do a Pampered Chef recipe I tried long ago at a party. It's puff pastry, with this sweetened cream cheese layer on top, then you slice strawberries and blueberries and layer on top like an American flag. I hope I can pull it off!

Good morning all! Our only weekend plans were to sign Jocelyn up at the new dance school, and we've done that. She's very excited--they seem very nice, not a competitive dance place at all, and Jocelyn will get to try her hand at choreographing. My one minor concern is, we saw a video of the preteen hip-hop class from 2 years ago, and the moves seemed very basic for Jocelyn. This isn't a huge problem, but it may cause her to be moved to the teen class (which actually fits our nightly schedule better). But, the teen class is more likely to have more risque moves and costumes, and I'm not sure I want that for my little girl. We'll have to see how it pans out.

We're also taking advantage of the rainy weekend to introduce Celeste to some Disney movies. She saw Aladdin this morning, and may do another one tonight. I probably should have started sooner--we leave next Sat. But hey, she's a quick study!

Next week will be a bear for me--DH is supposed to be on 12 hour days (at least he gets paid overtime, but YUCK!), we have dance camp 3 evenings, and a doctor's appointment. Plus all the usual crap and packing and all that. Then again, by this time next week, I should be arriving at the Poly, so I just have to survive this week!

glt--I hear you on the gymnastics class. If your DD is good, having her in with kids who will challenge her might be real helpful. I know Jocelyn would rather be the worst in a higher class than the best in a lower one, but each kid is different. then there's the whole time and money aspect--groan! But if it's truly a passion for her...good luck with your decision.

I generally keep pie on the counter, but it doesn't last long around here.

As far as weaning goes, I found that ~ a year, my kids were more interested in getting a cookie than getting a b00b. I know Robert's interests will change eventually, but for now, he's still more interested in cookies! I cut them back to twice a day by their first birthday, then once, then off by maybe 14 months. There's a possibility that I would go longer with Luke since he's my last, but then again, all three have had food sensitivities, which gets old. While I'm not a huge fan of nursing much beyond the first year, some people go well into the second year and beyond.

joats--love the idea of the disco costume. Make sure you save pictures to embarress him with when he goes on his first date!

BB fans--I cannot believe what is happening! I don't want to be a spoiler for those who have the willpower to stay away from the spoiler thread, but MAN! I want Chicken George to take it all (he won't but he has my vote these days!)

Wow, only I few posts since I checked in earlier...I think I can actually catch up tonight! WooHoo!

GLT: I think it's fantastic that you nursed Leif for so long. My body just didn't cooperate when I went back to work after mat. leave so I only got to do about 4-5mos. Way to go Leif for his steps! :cheer2: Let us know what you decide to do about DD - that's fantastic she got invited to join the gymnastics team - I've always wished I took it as a child.

Robin: DH is having back problems: sciatica, bulging/slipped disk and is on bed rest. A week and 1/2 ago he had HFM. Your puffed pastry sounds yummy - hope it turns out well so you too can show off! :goodvibes

BNB: Glad Jocelyn liked her new dance school. So many talented Dis-kids on this board! Your week next week sounds rough! At least you have WDW to look forward to as a reward. Which site do you use for BB spoilers? Here on the dis or another site? I'm not sure who I want to win. Everyone has been pretty annoying lately. At the beginning I wanted Janelle, Will or Kaysar to win, but I was totally disappointed in how they've played/acted so far. As much as they all irk me, I'm there glued to the TV on Sun-Tue-Thurs. :)

Jace just went to bed and I'm ready too - I also rented The Family Stone (I think that's what it's called). I think I will watch that with DH tonight. No big plans for us this weekend. Tomorrow the only thing I need to do is pay the bills and go to the grocery (DH usually does the groceries - he loves the GC and I hate it but since he's out of commission I have to go :( ).

Have a good night. I hope I can check in again tomorrow.
:) Joats

Hi moms! Today we went to check out the school I'll be going to. On a good day, it'll be a 45 minute drive. Yikes. I don't think I could take that commute more than once a week. I've been so spoiled with work being only 10 minutes away.

joats - I've seen that disco costume on a few websites I've been checking out. I love the matching afro wig! I hope your DH recovers quickly.

Hillbeans - Have a great trip.

tkyes - I thought Mr. and Mrs. Smith was pretty good and I don't usually go for the action movies. I was pleasantly surprised at all the funny moments. I hope your finger gets back to normal soon.

J&D - I'd be so upset about the cheerleader outfit. I'm not an ebayer myself and that kind of thing would definitely turn me off.

ginamarie - I hope you had a nice birthday! :cake:

BnB - Have fun watching all your Disney movies. :dumbo: pooh: :ccat:

glt - Congrats to your DD on her gymnastics!

Alice28 - Have fun at your neighbor's BBQ. I hope he can manage to keep his foot out of his mouth.

lissawynn - Jimmy will make an adorable lion. Although if that doesn't work out, you can always dress him in an EK jumpsuit.

nucpharm - Hope your DSL and satellite can get hooked up quicker than the cable.

floridafam - I'm sorry your DD had to suffer like that for so long. Glad she's all better now!

I have no idea what we'll end up doing tomorrow. I think DH will still be taking Lucas to his parents' after dinner even though things haven't been quite the same since last week's incident. I hope to check in sometime tomorrow.

GM- how is the couch recovering going today? Sounds like it's quite the project!

GLT- oh boy, weaning. For some reason it went easily with Molly. She was about 15 months when she was 100% weaned. She just seemed to like her bottle better anyway. Joshua however...and Sam....it was a long, long time. Good for you for doing it this long! :cheer2: That's great!

SL- Wow, 45 minutes to school. That's a long drive! It will be so worth it though!

Joats- OW- sounds like your husband is in mega pain. Is he doing physical therapy, or any chiropractic stuff? I agree with SL, that the right chiropractor is a godsend. I've seen one for two different injuries and he helped me much more than my doctor did. But I think the right chiropractor is vital; I really liked mine because he was an ER nurse for 20 years, so he had 'real' medicinal background, as well as the chiro background. He's an angel. So is the massage therapist who works there.

We had a pretty boring day; I was disappointed in Costco's costumes. Great Disney ones for girls, but for bigger girls. They already have a bunch of the toys out for Christmas! Eek! I guess that's right though; every year it comes out in August at Costco. Then I ran in the mall and got some Clinique moisturizer at Nordstrom; Macys took over the local dept store, and I'm mad about that. I loved Macys when I lived in CA, but it's changed a lot in the last 12 years. I loved the local chain and now it's kaput. So, I decided I will buy my clinique at Nordstrom from now on. My little protest of a whole $120 a year or so. Then I ran in Gap Kids and got Molly some tennis shoes and Josh a lunch box to go with his backpack...only spent $15 cause I had a $10 coupon. Walked by Gymbo with no problem, and looked in Disney STore....they STILL don't have all their costumes! Josh likes the Narnia one of Peter. But they didn't have the little girl costumes yet. Irritating.

Then we came home, made lunch, and I cleaned up around here. A neighbor's granddaughter, whom I'm friends with, came over for a half hour or so and we chatted. We had salmon for dinner and I made some wontons earlier which we munched on.

Anyway, kind of a quiet day around here! hope everyone is doing well.

GinaMarie - Happy Birthday! :bday: Hope you are having a great celebration today.

Joats - I've dealt with the bulging disc, sciatica thing. DS was about 14 months and DD was 3. I was home laid up on the couch a lot. I went to the chiropracter three times a week. I still have some problems with it, and still make trips to the chiro., and have exercises to do, but the pain I had then, today it's nothing comparitively. My dr said to rest, but to also move, walking is best, apparently backs are to have movement to keep them functioning. Good luck to him :wizard: (and you for dealing with it) :grouphug: . I was home while dh worked and even hired a housekeeper for a couple months who came once a week to help me out. It was horrible.

Robin - I'm hoping for a kinda natural weaning thing, a friend lent me "how weaning happens" book and I need to read it. My biggest stressor is that I am seeing my parents next week and my mom is adamant that i don't nurse anymore. Not that it's any of her business, but she thinks it's rather gross that I am (and still am) nursing. I'm dreading dealing with it. ---------- sounds like you had a productive day. How fun to be able to tour those stores so easily, I miss it! At least that means I don't spend the $$ :rotfl: Yeah, it sounds like Macy's has bought out all kinds of stores lately. Good deal on the coupon!!

SL - good luck with MIL. I can't wait to see photos of Lucas as a disco king :sunny: DS has a scooby doo costume we bought at a garage sale that I think he'll wear. I have no idea about DD and Leif. I'm guessing Leif may wear a cow costume that DS wore a few years ago, it may be big, but should be okay, we'll see what happens. Not sure about DD, she has enough princess dresses, ballet and gymnastics costumes to choose from, so who knows (I'm all about saving $, can you tell? )

BNB - yeah for Jocelyn's dance school. Choreographing sounds like lots of fun! I wished we lived closer, I'd love to see her dance. Some time you will need to put a video up for us to see. DD does like gymnastics, but she is only 5 so there are plenty of years ahead of her. . . and she'd be entry level competing (level 2). I think it would be fu to do, but with the boys, it could be challenging...registration is the week I'm out of town, so maybe I can have an extra week to think about it :confused3

Wow, a lot has been happening in the BB house. It'll be interesting to see how they put it all together for the show tomorrow.

ETA - I am trying to check for new posts and the server says that searches are disabled. Is that a DIS thing, or have I done something wrong? :confused3 I haven't been on much lately, so I don't think I did anything, but one never knows. . .

EETA - Apparently the DIS has a new source for searches and is having problems, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1200933

Hey Everyone.

GLT - What's the big deal with people who think it's wrong to nurse when your baby is older? I mean Leif is only (nearly) one some people that I know have nursed till their kids are like 5!! I think you have done a great job to nurse for so long, we only managed about 3 months as my milk dried up naturally so it was formula for Shelby, although I don't think she minded!! :) Good on you I say! :thumbsup2

Robin - I got a "fresh linen" scent which smells just like laundry - it's so nice! and I got a freesia scent for my mom in the 14oz house warmer jar as they are moving house on Friday and I thought it would make a nice moving present.

Joats - I hope your DH feels better soon and that grocery shopping wasn't too bad for you! :)

BNB - Sorry that your DH has to work 12 hour days, DH regularly has to do that so I know what a drag it can be! :grouphug:

Lissawynn - I have developed an obsession with Coke! I blame your tag! :teeth: Good luck at the bank! :wizard:

Tamie- I would be really pleased if you would design a growth chart for Shelby, that would be great as she will be getting to the height where we can record it soon!

FF - The doctors have now said that Charlotte might have fissures and not Meckels, but I think they are waiting on some bloods to come back and then they will see what comes of that and depending on that will be whether or not she goes ahead with surgery. Thanks for your kind words and background on your DD it helps to talk to someone who has been through this already I am glad that she is doing well. :)

Happy Sunday to you all!! Speak later! popcorn::

Here are a few piccies of Shelby from our holiday - I finally got time to upload them!

GEM,

They should be able to do a Meckel's scan and see if she has Meckels or not. We were always told DD had fissures but I could never see them.

I'll be thinking of all of you. :grouphug:

Gems,
I'm sending prayers for your dniece :wizard: :grouphug: . I hope they are able to figure it out and fix the issue very quickly. The pics of Shelby are great! She looks like such a big girl princess: !

GLT,
While I never nursed very long I do agree with the philosphy of letting babies give up things when they are ready. I followed that with giving up the bottle, toilet training, etc. and it seemed to work very well for us. There is no way Leif is too old to b-feed. If he is happy doing it and you are happy doing it, then that's all that matters :grouphug: .

Robin,
Macy's bought out Filene's around here. I haven't been too impressed so far. TDS always seems to put out costumes later than other places. I hope you find some cute things for your kids.

The thrid clue is up on Sunshine - looks like the answer is popcorn:: which is what I guesed  .

SL,
Sorry about such a long commute to school! I hope traffic won't be too bad at the times you will be going. Are you going at night or on days you don't work?

Joats,
I love the disco king idea! Jace will look adorable  .

BnB,
Good luck with getting all or your last minute trip stuff done this week :wizard: . Just think: you'll soon be in the land of the mouse :mickeyjum ! I need to go check out the spoiler site to see who won the POV yesterday.

GM,
Happy Birthday - sorry I missed it yesterday. I'd love to see pics of the couch when you are done with it. I'm sure it will look great :wizard: .

Tamie,
Sorry about the bee sting. Are you sure you got the stinger out? If it is still swollen and hurting I would take a good look and make sure you got the whole thing out. It could get infected if not. I hope you had fun scrapping yesterday :sunny: .

Nucpharm,
We have dish and dsl through them and it has been great. We only had one problem with our internet going out (a couple of weeks ago) and we have used them for over a year. Our dish tv service is very good also. It only goes out if the weather is really terrible where we have friends with Direct TV and there's goes out if it's sprinkling.

Lissawynn,
I'm sorry you are still feeling so lousy :grouphug: . I hope the doc. gave you a new prescription so you can take it once school starts. When do you start? Our first day here is 8/30 .

Hillbeans,
Hope you have fun at the beach :sunny: !

Does anyone know when Diskim and Gretchen were coming home? I can't wait to hear about their trips  !

Thanks all for the well wishes for the new job. I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow so I can start :teeth: . It will be a change in the routine around here and we'll all need to get used to it but I think it will work out just fine.

As far as Halloween costumes, ds picked his out last year after Halloween when everything was on clearance so he's all set. I'm not sure what to do with Katrina yet. I got her a clown costume at the same time I got ds's last year but I'm not in love with it. Since she still so little though I may just use it anyway. I also have a belle dress that I got her that she could wear but she would need to wear lots of layers with it because here in NE it is usually freezing by Halloween. And then of course knowing me I could see something super cute out at the store and get that for her  . We'll see ;) .

Dh and Ds are cooking up our big family breakfast as we speak. I'm dreading the cleaning I'm going to have to do when they are done  :rotfl: . I have a mountain of laundry to catch up on and I want to get the house super clean today because my friend is coming over tomorrow afternoon. I'm sure I'll be back later. TTYL  .

Good morning ladies. I have been so sick this weekend it's not right. I don't know if I ate something I should not have or just caught a bug. Thank goodness it was DH long weeknd off or I'd have been up the creek! It dosent help that "Sib" likes to do summersaults all day long in my stomach. I felt good enough to get up today, so hopefully its passing. Anything going around your areas?

Hope you all had a great weekend!

:bday: (belated) to Gianmarie!

:grouphug: Bellacam I hope you feel better soon! Glad that your DH could look after you and Aidan!

Morning Mommies,

bellacam,

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. Get some rest today. I hope you are feeling all better tomorrow.

lissawynn,

Ugh, I hope your MS stops soon.

Robin,

I agree about Macy's. They are okay around here. I miss Fields. I guess they bought out all the Marshall Fields in Chicago and switched them all to Macys'. NOT GOOD!

val,

I hope you don't have too big of a mess to clean up.

Strawberry Lemonade,

Good luck at school. :thumbsup2

I'll catch up with everyone else later. We are going to the store to do food shopping for school lunches this week. We just got all the school supplies together and the kids are pretty excited.
