diskim - I completely forgot to post on the good news about your brother's girlfriend. I'm so glad everything went well. I can't believe she was out and about already! Yes, what a trooper! Hope your busy day went well.

lissawynn - I hope you got some great deals at BJs! I have a bunch of stuff I should donate to the Good Will. Maybe before Tyler's birthday I'll do a major spring cleaning and donate some things.

vald - how was Failure to Launch? I adore Matthew, but can't decide if I want to see it in the theater or not. The clip of him in just a towel is very tempting to see on the big screen! Glad to hear there is no ear infection for Katrina!

hillary - Sounds like Liam got some cute stuff!

gem - That's great that your MIL will help you out, kinda wierd that your FIL is not willing to help. Maybe he has a balloon fobia ;) I'm kidding! Portugal sounds fascinating!!

nucpharm - I shouldn't lol about Emma at the funeral, but that is cute. I'm sure everyone understood. It is funny to watch kids try and wrap their head around things. I think those pants would be perfectly fine for a wedding. They are a subtle plaid, not too crazy.

tasha - Sounds like Kylie got some great stuff! How fun! Sorry to hear the family is feeling sick again!

alice - congrats on the tupperware deals. If you remember, will you let me know if the freshness stuff works out? I saw that at a party once, but didn't know if it would work. I feel bad because I'm one of the ones who hasn't made it to the post office yet with my exchange. I know the deadline isn't here, but everyone sent theirs out so early. No, I don't have Molly :) but mine is going out this week before I leave for Chicago.

Talk to you all later - sweet dreams for moms and babies tonight!!!

Hey do you know what - I never thought of that maybe he does have a balloon phobia! :lmao: :lmao: Must just say this tho, obvioulsy these balloon races make quite a bit of money by the time to take out the costs and stuff and I had already said to DH that we would pay them for doing it and I would just take a minimal amount - anyways DFIL said are they going to pay £26 per hour and DH was like well probably £50 per hour and guess what DFIL wasn't so anti balloon race after that - funny how money talks :sad2: I must admit it just made me :furious: :furious:

Portugal is a lovely place DH and I went there for our honeymoon and we are staying in the same hotel which will be nice - I am not sure about how Shelby will like the hotel thing as she is so little but it was a very nice quiet place this is the website for where we are going - only 6 weeks to go I guess I should get a countdown!http://www.vilagale.pt/hoteis/Marina/galeria.php?hotel=4&

tkyes - That's a cute Easter outfit! I read your post about doodling and brainstorming and thought it said DROOLING and brainstorming. Can you tell Lucas has been leaking like a faucet lately?

Hillbeans - I hope things work out with those people already living in the house.

ryleesmom - Welcome back!! I'm so glad your treatment went well.

DisKim - I hope you enjoyed your night out with DH.

Alice28 - Sorry you had such a bad day on Friday. I hope this weekend made up for it.

llij - Great news about John's surgery.

lissawynn - Good luck with your competition tomorrow.

vald - Have fun at movie night.

Gems - Too funny about your FIL. Money does talk, doesn't it!

nucpharm - I was also laughing at the story about Emma at the funeral. I love kids' innocence.

Tasha - I hope you and Kylie feel better soon! I hate this crazy weather - someone is bound to get sick since it's been so nice this weekend and now they're predicting snow on Friday.

The Outback fundraiser was fun. Everyone got the same meal - a salad, a piece of steak, a piece of chicken, and fries (I was wondering how that was going to work) and there was a raffle (which we didn't win). Lucas fell in love with a poster of Australian animals. It was down at his eye level and he'd keep pulling me over too it so he could "talk" to it. His "talking" these days is a really loud, squeaky "da!" Everyone thought he was cute.

The Sopranos start tonight! Does anyone else watch?

Well, last night was terrible for us. Matthew was up every hour! I don't know what the deal was, but I am really tired this morning. Luckily, Emma slept all night no probs, and I was a little worried b/c we had a thunderstorm come through around 9 last night. Oh well, guess this is just the life of a new mom. Hopefully tonight will be better.

SL--your dinner at Outback sounds great! I would love to go out to eat tonight, but with DH working nights right now, I'm definitely not hauling the kids out by myself.

Gems--that hotel is so cool! I hope you have a great time, I'm sure Shelby will do just great!

Alice--Yeah for the great tupperware deals. Too bad the princess cups were so expensive, I did notice in the last American BAby mag. that I got that First Years, they make the take and toss stuff, have now come out with a Disney Princess line. I'm going to go check that out, b/c I love the fact that the cups are so cheap that if you lose one, no big deal. And they are pretty much leak free

Tasha--hope your family starts feeling better. WE are starting to get the crud again too. Emma has a bad cough, so we're going to stay home from church today. I don't want her gettting the other kids sick and she can't sit still in "big" church with me. Hopefully, our weather will settle down as well and then we can all get better. We had a thunderstorm last night and tonight it supposed to snow again. Crazy!

Guess that's it for now. Need to go make a grocery list--I figure since we're skipping church today that we'd hit the store during "church" time and hopefully the store won't be as busy as it will be this afternoon! Have a great Sunday all!

Hi everyone! I had a great time with the kids at the St. Patty's day parade yesterday. Aidan was hysterical. He loved every second of the parade and it must have been 2 hours long. He danced when the bands went by and was talking to all the people as they passed. We went up to the boardwalk afterward which was a big mistake. It was mobbed with drunk people wearing green. We went to our usual place to get lunch and they had removed all the tables from the dining area so there would be more room for people to drink. We promptly left the boardwalk and headed home. DH and I went out to dinner and went to see Capote last night. I'm just such a nerdy English teacher. Of course, I had to see Capote. I thought it was very good but I started getting sick and I got the chills and kept falling asleep even though I was interested in the movie. I thought I was over it but I had to get right back into bed this morning. My head and neck are killing me, I have chills, etc. I'm hoping I can make it to work tomorrow. I feel like I've taken so many days off this year. I'll try to catch up with everyone later. My headache is creeping back and I think it's time for me to hit the couch again.

Tasha- I'm glad you and Kylie liked the package. I hope all of the shirts fit. I got Jenna the same shirts in 12 months, and they fit her well. I figured since her and Kylie are about the same size that that size would fit Kylie as well. The 18 month ones looked big.

DisKim- Hope you feel better soon. Glad to hear that your brother's girlfriend is recovering well.

nucpharm- Hope you have a good night tonight.

Strawberry Lemonade- I'm suddenly craving a big juicy piece of steak. Glad you enjoyed your meal.

Gems- Your trip to Portugal sounds lovely. That looks like a beautiful hotel.

tkyes- Check out the invitations at this site. They look like something you could do on your own for Tyler's party. You always take such great pictures.
Link

Alice & nucpharm- I saw those princess cups last night at Wal-Mart. They are cute and cheap. I think they are $2.50.

Val- Glad to hear Katrina doesn't have an ear infection. How was Failure To Launch? It looks cute, and I bet Kathy and Terry are funny as his parents. My DH said that he heard Terry say that Kathy is a great kisser.

lissawynn- Good luck with your competition tomorrow.

Jill- Glad your visit with the surgeon went well. That is so great that John doesn't have "Pierre Robin Sequence" and that he doesn't need a helmet.

ryleesmom- I am so glad to hear that your cancer did not spread. I hope the Dr. can regulate your meds soon. My step-uncle was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Hillbeans- Hope your open house went well today.

justhat- Congrats to Madison for using the potty. Please remind me of when you leave for WDW. We leave the 21st.

Hello to all other DIS mommies!

TTFN!

Hi everyone! I will eventually get caught up with you all, but my school work has taken over my life these days. I really never anticipated working and being a mom would be so challenging!

BJ's was interesting. It was very similar to Sam's except the store where we were was much smaller. It was kind of giving me the willies. It had so much stuff packed into a small space. I did, however, manage to spend $105. I bought Jimmy 3 Carter's 1 piece rompers for the summer. They were $6 each. I also got a ton of stuff for the house. My sister and I also hit Buca de Beppo for lunch. I got a new pair of Crocs, too. I got the Aspen flip-flops in fuchsia and lime. Here's a link since they wouldn't let me save the pic.
http://www.crocs.com/consumer/product_details/athens/
I am a TOTAL flip-flop nut. I think I have about 30+pairs of them. Reefs are my favorite brand and I buy a pair or two everytime we go OCNJ. That's what I usually wear to WDW. I'm thinking these will be my new favorites. I just have to get a good pedicure!

I hope to catch up with you all tomorrow! I'm off to work on our yearbook. It's due 3/28 and I just figured out how the program works!

lissawynn- I really like those flip flops- it looks like they are supportive...are they? I just love all the cute flip flops at Old Navy, Gap, etc., but I really can't wear them anymore. I have high arches and my feet just ache wearing them. That's why I pretty much am a "Clarks" girl nowadays because their shoes have such good arch support. How much were they? I didn't see a price on the link you sent, but I may get a pair. I'm intrigued with all the 'croc' talk I see on the boards.

DisKim- sounds like Aidan is a parade kinda guy! Can you imagine him seeing Spectro! He'd be mesmerized! Except for the drunk green people (LOL!), it sounds like it was a great outing.

SL- that animal poster that Lucas was talking to sounds cute- and he sounds cute 'talking' to it! I love it when they really start babbling! It's so fun to listen to!

Nucpharm- I'm sorry Matthew was a pill last night. :guilty: I hope tonight is better and that you got a lot accomplished this AM. I know what you mean about going out to eat on your own without DH- when my DH was gone, I think I took the boys to Chilis twice on my own....and there's no way I could do it with all 3. But the boys were 3 and 7- more managable than a 2 YO and baby....when DH & I were first married he worked swing shift and we would often just go out to lunch all the time and that was fun too.

I will have to look into those cups you saw- that sounds much more reasonable than the Tupperware ones. I mean, they were cute, but not $6.50 a pop cute, esp because they do leak. And esp getting the 4 just randomly printed tumblers with lids and the pitcher for $14.25...I wasn't about to pay $13 for 2 smaller cups.

Tkyes- I will post here after I get my Tupperware about the Fridge keeper stuff. I wish I had them right now as I bought a half flat of strawberries, 3 pounds of grapes and a bag of costco sized salad yesterday....I need to make a fruit salad to go with dinner, dontcha think?

Gems- that hotel looks sooooo nice! You should definitely put a countdown ticker up! I'm glad your FIL has changed his tune a bit about the balloons!

Hillbeans- I hope your house got some offers today!

Justhat- how is Madison doing with her pottying? :p That sounds so funny to say!

Hi J & D! :wave2:

I don't know much! We took a Sunday drive today and looked at this very upscale neighborhood about 10 minutes or so from here. It's funny how the suburbs can go from working-middle class like us (some shabby, some nice, some in between) to million dollar neighborhoods in about 5-6 miles. I don't think DH and I will ever attain that, but it's interesting to look! The kids were like, "What are we doing? Look at that house, it's like a mansion! Can we buy it?" Uh.....no........

And we walked around that upscale mall I have mentioned before, just window shopping. I hadn't been in a Sharper Image store in ages and it was fun looking at all the latest and greatest gadgets.

I came home and talked with my mom for an hour- she had been in CA this last week doing some family business. We caught up and had a nice talk.

Oh, and the other day I mentioned how my good friend was asking me questions about DL cause she hasn't been in 10-11 years and they are thinking of taking their boys this summer (their boys are the same ages as ours)......and the light bulb went on and I said, "BRANDIE!!!! You should go the last week of June when we're going! Wouldn't that be SO FUN!?" They might have something else going on that week, but they're going to talk about it. I would love it. There aren't toooo many sets of friends we have where both of us like both of them (if that makes sense) and they are one of the few. And plus to have the 4 boys together- I think they would be so busy chatting and having fun with each other, that they would ease up on us parents! I hope it works out, but I'm not totally counting on it- they weren't even sure if they could afford it yet, let alone go that same week we are going.

Anyway, hope a great Sunday evening all- I hope there is a new Grey's Anatomy on! :cloud9:

I'll have to catch up with everyone tomorrow cause it's already 8 which means time for Madison to go to bed. We went up to NJ spur of the moment on Friday afternoon to drop off more of our stuff at my mom's house. We have so much junk and clutter that we had to get rid of it so we can make the condo look livable when we put it up for sale which should be this week. I feel kinda bad for Madison cause almost all of her toys are gone, but it shouldn't be for too long. Anyway, we got there around 5pm on Friday and got came back to DC last night around 9pm. My mom came back with us cause she had a meeting in DC that she wanted to go to today, but she realized today that she never got the info about what hotel it was in (weird cause they sent her the list of which meetings were in which ballrooms, but not the hotel name) so she ended up going on a crazy tour of open houses with us today. Alice28 we did some of what you did today by looking at places way out of our price range for fun. One place was this house built in 1875, it was 4 stories (with the washer/dryer in the basement), smelled like old people, totally not kept up well, no parking, and they wanted $1,855,000 for it. Insane. We looked at a ton of realistic places, but still ended up liking the townhouse I mentioned weeks ago best, and it's still available and we've only got 4 more days to wait!!! We decided the lack of parking spaces won't be a big deal cause everytime we've driven by there is always street parking available and the only other things are that there's no bathtub and the freezer door can't really open cause it hits the wall. So we spoke with the realtor (who happens to be the builder's wife) and she said the freezer is not a problem and they'll just have to change it with one that has a top/bottom set up instead of side by side and they can change the shower to a bathtub in the 2nd bathroom if we want, but that would cost etween $5000-$8000. So we're gonna try Madison out showering with us and see if we can get by with that and then use a baby bathtub for the new baby and then move to the inflatable tub that we use for Madison now when the new baby outgrows the baby tub. Of course, I never used the baby tub with Madison so that will be a change, but if we can get by without spending an extra $5000 for a bathtub we'll try. Other than that it seems perfect so we're just waiting till Thursday to put in an offer. Oh, and the best part is that it won't actually be much more than what we should get for our current condo so that works out very well for us too.

Alice28, that would be great if your friends could go to DL when you go. I was hoping my cousin would come with us on Friday to WDW but she couldn't get time off of work so she can't (she has a daughter 3 months older than Madison so it would have been great for me).

Lissawynn, good luck with the yearbook. Are you the faculty advisor for it, or just helping out?

J&D, we leave for WDW on Friday and come home on the 22nd so maybe we'll get to meet up before we head back home. Where are you guys staying? We'll be at the CR and no doubt spending lots of time at the MK.

DisKim, hope you start feeling better soon. At least you got to enjoy the parade and night out with your husband (well, most of it) before the sickness set in.

Nucpharm, sorry to hear Matthew did not sleep well last night. You're totally reinforcing my fear that once this new baby comes I'll never get any sleep!! Madison has been going to bed so late recently and that makes her wake up during the night and earlier in the morning so I'm totally anticipating the worst when the new one comes!

Okay, speaking of that, it's 8:15 and I have to get Madison to bed so I really will have to finish catching up tomorrow. I go for my ultrasound at 11:15 so hopefully I'll get to see what this baby is and let you all know which ones of you 'won' the guessing game!

Oh Justhat, how exciting that the US is tomoorow! My official guess is BOY. :groom:

Well, both kids are in bed right now. Hopefully it will stay that way for awhile. Matthew was a pill all day today. So I got no rest. we tried to stay out of the house today so DH could sleep. And of course the only time Matthew decided to chill out and nap was in the car, so no nap for mommy. I'm wondering if the shots he got Thurs. afternoon are making him so crabby. I gave him some Tylenol this evening, and I'm hoping that helps somewhat. wish us luck tonight. At least DH is working at night right now, so if Matthew does get crabby tonight I'll just bring him in bed with me.

Justhat--I vote for a boy too! :thumbsup2 Hope you can get the townhouse you want--only 4 more days! And I'm sorry I'm painting a bad picture of the sleep issue with the 2 kids--it really hasn't been a problem until now,and I'm hoping it will be ending soon!

alice--I love driving through neighborhoods with houses I know I"ll never afford. Our area is developed really weird too--like right outside our neighborhood the house prices go up at least $150,000--just to cross the street--the houses are a little bigger, but jeez! Hope your friends can join you in DL; that would be great!

lissawyn--good luck with the yearbook--I was on yearbook staff once and we had to cut and glue our pages together, back in the old days! LOL!

DisKim--Sounds like the parade was fun--Hope your headache is long gone by now!

Well, I better try to tidy up a little around here. DH gets a little stressed out with all the clutter that we make during hte day! Hope everyone has a great night and great sleep!

Stephanie

Hi all, been around just haven't posted much.

Anyway I wanted to put my vote in for girl. Justthat you have been too sick for a boy. ;)

justhat- We will be staying at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas near DTD. We will be going to MK on the 22nd. I think you are having another girl.

Not much time to catch up but I wanted to once again voice my opinion, justhat, and say I think you are having a BOY!

I was not sick at all with Kylie and she was of course a girl so I guess that's why I picture a boy making you sicker. Crazy, I know, since people always say if you are really sick you will have a girl. Anyway, I think you are having a boy just because, no real reason really, lol! Can't wait to hear the news! Hopefully your baby will cooperate!

DisKim - That's so cute how much Aidan enjoyed the St Patty's parade. Sorry all the drunks ruined your boardwalk experience.

lissawynn - Those flip flops look sooooo comfy. I love wearing flip flops also - even at WDW. I may have to look into those.

Alice28 - DH and I do the same thing: drive through neighborhoods we'll never be able to afford. They are building development after development of McMansions in our town and we just can't help driving through. They're always kept up so nicely.

justhat - I also vote BOY! I can't wait to find out!!

nucpharm - Sorry Matthew was such a pill for you. It could be the shots - hopefully he'll be back to his normal self for you soon.

Hi to everyone else! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Another Monday. :surfweb:

Have a marvelous Monday, everyone!

Well, last night wasn't much better than the night before. At least Matthew wasn't up every hour--more like every 2-3hrs. Yuck! Oh well, it's just a phase, right? But I hope everyone has a great Monday. I have to run Emma over to a friends house and head to Target. Wil check in later!

Stephanie

Happy Monday Morning ladies!

Just a quick post before I toss my little guy in the tub.

nucpharm - I'm sorry Matthew's not sleeping well for you. What a pain. I hope it passes quickly!!

lissawynn - those are cute flip flops. I'm totally jealous of flip flop wearers. My big ugly feet do not look cute in those!

justthat - good luck! I vote boy! :)

alice - isn't it fun to daydream? Good luck with your fruit salad - yummy, yummy ;)

j&d - very cute invites! I think I figured out what I am doing. The invites won't have the frog theme that the party will have, but that's ok.

My husband is finally home! He's been gone since Wednesday. He had to travel to Europe for work. I know it's paranoid, but I kind of feel wierd posting that he's out of town. I'm a freak what can I say!

We got a few inches of snow last night. It's actually still snowing. I'm hoping it tapers off after lunch. I need to go to the paper store and Target.

Have a great day everyone. Hi to everyone!!

Tamie

Robin - I got my package today!!! :cool1: Thank you sooooooo much the outfit and bib and socks are beautiful!! Shelby has got the socks on today - although she insists on trying to pull them off again!! The delivery man arrived at 7 am with the package it's a good job that my DH was about to get the door! or it could have been kinda embarrassing!!

Justhat - I am voting boy - for the same reasons as Tasha I wasn't ver sick with Shelby either . :groom:

PHEW! I am SO GLAD it came! I have never had anything directly shipped from a company to overseas before. I was nervous because there was no spot to put "Birmingham" in the address thing on Gymboree- I was hoping that the postal code would suffice. :teeth: :cheer2: And I'm glad you like it! 7 AM though- that's EARLY!

I voted boy cause the only time I was REALLY sick being pregnant was with my 2nd son. I wasn't really that sick at all with Molly- a little nauseous now and then, and I think I threw up once or twice, but it was because I had a cold and kept coughing and it triggered my gag reflex and you know.....

Plus I just think it would be fun for Justhat to have a boy this time. :goodvibes

Anyway, I will check back in later- I'm still not quite awake yet!
