We leave tomorrow morning too!

Today is the packing, finishing the laundry, and the last of the college kids home tonight fro spring break.

Leaving at 6:30 am bright and early:dance3:

Leaving in less than 48 hours now! I can hardly wait! But I feel like I have so much to do between now and then. I'll be sporting my limegreen mickey head so feel free to say hello!

We are going March 26-Apr 2! We are staying at POR and I can hardly stand the wait! The kids (4,4,4,2) don't know yet...they have been asking to go back since our June/July 2010 trip! Hoping for GREAT weather!

We, DW and myself, are going March 25 - 30. Staying at POR. We are driving down. This is wife's spring break. While winter hasn't been bad, we are so looking forward to 80 degrees, wearing shorts and enjoying the sun.

We are from western suburbs of Chicago

Hope you have a great trip.

Do you know, does all of Chicago/greater metro have the same spring break? I've heard several families from that area and all seem to have the same break??

Its been months since I checked in with my friends here but we are only 7 days away from deaprture!
Since I was last here our group has grown....we now have our family of 5 and my SIL's family of 4, plus MIL and FIL going and family Friends, (family of 5) all going. Most of us are still staying at the ASM but the best part is that we ended up getting the Dining plan (2 quick serve meals) for nearly free!
I got an email about the "free" dining plan and knowing that it probably would not apply to my dates I called and asked.
They did some checking and said while they couldnt get us a free plan, they could get us the quick serve plan for $68.....for all four of us...for the whole week! So we will get nearly $1000 worth of grub for $68.
Dont ask me how I lucked into this.
Other than that we are already packing.....suitcases are laid out, disney clothes are hanging in the closet, and we have a big folder with all of our documents sitting on the kitchen counter.
We had the whole party over last weekend and watched Disney movies all day and surfed the net for ideas on what to do. Big fun.:wizard:

March 10th we will be on Southwest Airlines eastbound to "The Happiest Place on Earth"!

Only 4 more sleeps til Disney and the BIG REVEAL!!! This secret has been SO HARD to keep...mark my words, I will NEVER try to surprise them again, it is toooooooo hard!!!! :rotfl2:

I'm excited for you!! How cool it will be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family only has 3 more sleeps. I can't believe after such a long wait (and a trip delay) it is almost time to go!!!!:jumping1:

Driving in the car today, listening to the Splash Mountain theme, my daughter says, "Mom, do you know where my laughing place is? It's Disney World." It took biting my tongue very hard to not tell her that we're leaving in two weeks! I said, "Well...too bad you have school tomorrow, huh?" Her response was, "Well, you could surprise me with a Disney movie." She is now watching Mulan and thinks that it was a great surprise. My tongue may be bleeding by the end of the next two weeks. Secrets are hard!

We surprised the kids last year, decided this year to tell them. It was fun to see the looks on their faces, but it has been so much better to see their anticipation this year.

Woohoo!!! :cool1:

Yeah, the surprised response from them will be priceless, but secrets are too hard to keep; and DD 12 would be onto us fairly quickly if we ever tried to pull it off again. :sad2: DH and I have already decided to book a bounceback while we are there for Oct 13. We hope the weather will be a little more predicatably warm for an October trip. We shall see... popcorn::

Two more weekends at home and then it will be time for our first trip to WDW. :cheer2: I'm having a hard time thinking about anything else. My son's 5th birthday is this week and I'm just not that into it because I know we'll be celebrating it again when we are at WDW.

I can totally relate. DD9 will become DD10 the day after we get home. She keeps pressing me to make plans and I have been stalling. :rolleyes1 She knows this year is a "family only" birthday (friends party every other year). Our trip is a surprise for the kids, so putting her off every time she asks must be making her feel so unloved. :guilty: I have only said, we may just have everyone meet at a restaurant for her birthday this year instead of having everyone come to the house... she was excited about that, but she wants so badly to set some plans in stone. Poor kid! :sad2: :lmao:

In all my trips to WDW I never knew that the characters came out in the morning just as the MK opened and did a little ceremony....anyone ever seen this? what time does it happen?
We will be at MK on March 11th and hope to finally get to see it.

I have been losing my mind for months, how have I not found this board before now.

We're heading down March 25-31 staying in a 2br at Kidani with my sister and her family. We have 3 girls between us ages 3/4 (birthday while we're there), 5 and 7. The birthday girl will be getting breakfast at CRT. I hope it's not going to be too crazy busy, but I guess when you have to wait for spring break you just have to deal.
