The Official MARCH 2012 Thread! Countdown to Spring Break TOGETHER!!

Leaving in 5 days, cant wait!!! Finally told our son last night, the trip is in honor of his super golden birthday (turning 12 on the 12th in 2012!) Also our dd's 1st trip, we are all so excited and just knowing we leave Sat makes this work week all the more tolerable.

Staying at the All Star Movies March 11-17.

It's going to be my parents, brother (who's graduating in June), aunt (who's taking Trip #44), a couple we're very close friends with (who are from Houston and are flying in because they can fly free), and me.

So ready for this trip. The last couple of months have been crazy and we deserve to get away and have some fun.

Really hope these next few days go by fast. :mickeyjum

The excitement keeps building.....Taking Friday off to take the car in to be checked out and tuned up!!! Packing starts this weekend.....Anyone else down at WDW 3/25-3/30 staying at POR DW and myself

We are there now!! :cool1:

Weather is gorgeous. Rained a good deal Sunday night but no rain at all during our park visits. Our townhouse in Windsor Hills is beautiful!!! We love it!

We've been to Magic Kingdom / Hollywood Studios / Magic Kingdom and are headed for Animal Kingdom today and Epcot tomorrow.

It is VERY crowded... We were chatting with a couple in the parking lot last night after the fireworks and they said the crowds were lighter in July! Yikes!

Here are a few examples from Magic Kingdom yesterday (Monday) -- 80 minute wait for Winnie the Pooh. 75 minute wait for Space Mountain. It's a Small World was about a 40 minute wait...the line was out of the building and down the street when we got in line.

We were in front of the Castle last night during the Wishes fireworks. They ended at 8:15 and we started heading for the exit. It took us an hour to get from the Castle to our car in the parking lot.

But....the weather is lovely,as I already said -- 75 and sunny during the day. A little nippy in the evenings and early mornings (in the 50s)...hoping it's less crowded today at Animal Kingdom!

4 days until we leave...how am I supposed to get any work done this week? My mind is already in Florida!!!:yay:

Thanks for the report...I hope we can come up with a way to avoid some of those lines!

First timer here bringing my family (2 kids) for Spring Break. My fiance has been before (several times) but never with kids. We'll be driving in on Friday/Saturday and spending 5 days. Staying on property. Can't wait!!!

I just looked at the calendar and realized that I leave in just 12 days. I think my heart stopped beating for a minute! Without being able to pack ahead of time, and without being able to talk about it all the time, it seems very surreal to me. I don't even having touring plans! I know which parks we'll be on for each day, but that's it. I figure that with the FP rules being changed and the uncertainty of any of new FL being opened, I'll be making plans on the plane! :rotfl: This is SO not my normal way to travel!

Welcome fellow Texan. You are in trouble because once you go...you are hooked. Looks like we will be there at the same time. Have a great trip!

That's all she wrote...I am now clocking out at work and will not return until March 19th!!!! 1.5 more days til Disney, baby!!!

I probably won't be back on the Disboards til after vacation so TTFN!

One more day of work here - I don't know how I'm going to last! We leave tomorrow night - woohoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Have almost gathered everything I'm packing. Most of what's left are some clothes in the wash or the hamper, some toiletries that I'll be using through Saturday, my pillow (changing to a Jack Sparrow pillowcase for the trip), and Mickey watch that needs its battery changed.

Have set the time that we're leaving Saturday - between 6 and 7 that evening. Might feel a little shorter this year as we're springing forward and crossing into the eastern time zone.

Yesterday on the drive home (I carpool with my dad who works not far from the university), he mentioned he'd written the times for Extra Magic Hours on the back of one of business cards. He's getting pretty excited about the trip too, he just doesn't express it like the rest of the household does (or my aunt or our friends).

Want the next few days to go by fast and next week for time to go by slow.
