The Official LOST Season Five *No Spoilers* Thread

Well, last night's show was kind of a let-down, for me at least. While it was nice to have a re-cap to refresh my memory and to have all the events shown in chronological order instead of flashbacks and flashforwards, there wasn't anything new at all. I was kind of hoping they'd throw in some new little tidbit to tease us.

And I just realized that there are only THREE more weeks of Lost! :sad1::sad1:

Does anyone know if next season will be the same as this one, where Lost won't come on until January? Just trying to prepare myself for "Lost withdrawal".

Oh wait!! During the recap episode, didn't they specifically say that Widmore was the one who planted the fake airplane on the bottom of the ocean? Or did I hear that wrong?

I know last week we were speculating about the dead guy that Naomi took Miles to in the restaurant - Miles said he was taking receipts and photos of empty graves to Widmore when he was killed. But it was never clear whether he was taking evidence to Widmore that BEN faked the crash, or that he was delivering receipts after completing the job for Widmore.

Yes, I noticed that too.

I have read though that Damon & Carlton (?I thing that is their names) said that ABC does those recaps and they have no control over them and they are not always right. BUT I always thought it was Widmore who sunk the plane anyway ;)

I'm not good with details at all, but I am absolutely certain we were told that Widmore was responsible for the fake crash in a previous episode, maybe last season. I don't watch the recap episodes so just from the last 2 posts I know that wasn't the first time we were told that.

I'm with Amy. I was still wondering (for sure) who was definitely responsible for the fake plane.

Ben blamed Witmore, but Witmore blamed Ben.

Maybe it was confirmed at some point, but I (and Amy) missed it. Last night it was confirmed leaving no doubt. :)

I am pretty certain that the only reason we think it was Widmore was because Ben said it was. Like the PP said-The man in the rest could have been hired by Widmore to proove that it had been done (for Widmore) or to proove that Ben had faked it.

However, we all know Ben is a liar so that doesn't mean anything.

I think that they are trying to throw us off by making it look like Widmore. Widmore was looking for the island. Even if he knew that 815 crashed on the island, why would he care if others were searching for it. Wouldn't that actually make it easier for him to find, if others were looking too?

However, Ben actually had a reason to fake the plane crash. He didn't want anyone looking for them because he was on the island and didn't want to be found.
:confused3

Up until last night, I believe the only person who'd said that Widmore was responsible for the fake crash was Ben. And since we all know that Ben lies like crazy, you just can't believe anything he says.

I thought the same thing.

I thought it was one of the freighter people(Daniel or Lapidus, I think) that confirmed it was Widmore sometime last season.

See, all I remember is when we were right in the middle of the freighter story/episodes, the guys on the ship were saying it was Ben who put that plane in the water and meanwhile Ben was saying that Witmore put that plane in the water. I don't remember it ever being proven which one was telling the truth.

Hey, this reminds me...remember that scene when Daniel was crying while watching the TV? Wasn't that when the 'fake' plane was found and on the news??

President Barack Obama has asked to make a prime-time appearance during May sweeps.

White House officials have requested up to an hour of airtime for Wednesday, April 29, according to TV Week. The press conference, which falls on the 100th day of Obama's presidency, will probably air in the 8 o'clock hour and address questions of the president's performance.

AGAIN??

Any idea how this would effect LOST? I hope they would just bump whatever show is on at 8 and still show Lost. Either that or just kindly turn down his request.

Funny, it's Obama's 100th day of presidency but it's LOST's 100th episode!! I really hope LOST is not effected.

Lost star Henry Ian Cusick is facing a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a female crewmember on the hit show, according to reports.

The actor, who plays Desmond in Lost, is accused of touching Chelsea Stone's buttocks and caressing her back, while the pair worked on the show, according to legal papers obtained by TMZ.com.

The suit, filed in a Los Angeles court, alleges Stone was fired twelve days after the incident took place.

She lists ABC and Grass Skirt Productions as co-defendants, and is seeking unspecified damages.

When approached by TMZ, Cusick's representative refused to comment.

Uh oh! Remember what happened after the actress who played Ana Lucia was arrested for drunk driving? Please don't let this be the end of Desmond!

I was going to say that he can do that to me anytime:thumbsup2, but it's too insensitive of me if the allegations are true...harassment isn't funny.:sad2:

I hope it's really nothing, cuz we can't lose Des!

Hope we don't lose Des over this or worse yet that the role is recast. :sad2: This show has been so good at keeping characters the same even if we only "bumped" into them in earlier episodes.

I heard this and it made me so sad. I ADORE Desmond (he is, by far, my favorite character!) and always thought he had such kind eyes. I imagined him to be a wonderful person in real life.

So if this is true, my judge of character is totally broken! :guilty:
