I think Daniel is Eloise and Widmore's son, and Penny is Widmore's daughter with a woman off the island that we don't know.

Well, we now know somethings up with the Ilana and those guys. Maybe they work for Witmore.

I do think they work for Widmore - didn't Ilana say something to Sayid when she whupped his tail about all the crimes he committed? He was acting on Ben's behalf, taking out Widmore's people, so it would make sense that Widmore sent her to "arrest" him.....

I really hope Miles doesn't die. I kind of like him.

I do too! Especially when he and Hurley are together - they play off each other so well, always saying what the viewers are thinking. They are the only two who question anything, and they are so funny!

Oh, and where the heck is Daniel??? I thought Jack asked Sawyer (when he picked them up in the Dharma van) about Faraday and Sawyer told him he was on the island. Did he mean in the 70's or in the current time? So confused...

Daniel was with the other losties in the 70's. Sawyer said that he is no longer with them but we don't know what that means. I think it may mean he is no longer with us in mind ~ that his body is there but he went crazy. OR he could have left the island to go back to Oxford to try to experiment with time travel. That would explain some of the photos we have seen of him off island.

I agree with PP's who repeated Sawyer's comments "Daniel is not with us anymore" which leads me to believe that he has just lost his mind. Remember how he reacted when he saw the news reports that flight 815 was found on the ocean floor? If he and Eloise are working together and are somehow responsible for this mess, the time travel, etc, then he could have just lost it - Charlotte's death could be the last straw for him.

OK, as much as I LOVE Lost, I really feel that last week's episode in some ways "jumped the shark." The whole smokey thing just didn't do it for me - I found it to be really cheesy.

I was thinking that at first, and that is why the Others knew their names whenever they would "appear" in the jungle and also some of the whispering was their names as well. But, then there was a bit about Ben loosing his memory...so I don't know anymore. Maybe Ben reports it to Richard who does remember?



Yep, exactly-Charles and Ellie. I took it as Charles Whidmore and Elosie Hawking as well.

Do you think Eloise is on the island? Or is she the one that Charles had a baby with off-island, which was against the rules and got him banished? That would make Penny and Desmond brother and sister - at least half brother and sister.

Maybe Eloise is always off island, but working with the island?

So many random ideas, it will be so much fun to watch it all play out!

After the Island was moved through time by Ben, Bernard ran out of the woods yelling for Rose. Rose then proceeds to run out of the woods as well, and the two are reunited. Both then ask what the loud noise was and why the sky lit up. Sawyer told them not to panic and just to head back to camp, but Bernard says they cannot go back to the camp because there is no camp anymore. He says that the kitchen, tents, and everything is gone. Everything is gone but them. ("Because You Left")

At camp that night, Bernard tried get a fire going, with Rose critiquing his technique nearby. Neil and Rose promptly argue, as Neil is being stubborn and whiny about the lack of fire and food. Shortly afterward, the camp is attacked by flaming arrows. Everyone runs into the jungle, agreeing to meet up by the stream when they reach safety. Rose and Bernard are among those who survived and continued running to safety. However, her status after the attack in 1954 is unknown. Cunningham the Other seemed certain the missing survivors were either captured or murdered by the Others. ("The Lie")

yup and Star Wars was released in 1977 so I bet we'll be back in Dharmaville.......despite the fact Empire Strikes back was the first time we saw Hoth an it was released in 1980.

OK, so I was flipping channels last night and I saw Michael Emerson on the TV Guide channel doing a quick interview. He was asked about the season finale and all he could say was that a LOT of loose ends would be tied up AND that someone that we have heard a lot about will be seen for the first time - could it be Jacob???

I don't know if this is spoiler or not so I will put in white letters. TVGuide's episode info states that Marsha Thomason who played Naomi is in this episode? And that we will see a Young Miles?? Me thinks that is Chang's baby boy and that Miles will meet his younger self??

Last week's Entertainment Weekly had a blurb on a new actor being introduced on the finale - Mark Pellegrino. He was last seen on CBS' show "Dexter". The rumor is that he IS Jacob but ABC declined to confirm who he was playing - "on the grounds that it would spoil the mystery."

It was also said in the same issue that will find out where Rose and Bernard are by the end of the season.

I'm bummed about the mention of the last episode and the picture of the actor, I kinda see them as spoilers as the episode has not aired, even if it is in the TV guide. I try to stay away from that stuff.

I am so glad they focused on Miles -- even though at first I was disappointed that we didn't get much time with our "favorite" survivors!

So we were right about Miles being Chang's son! I felt so sorry for him when he was staring in the window at his young self and watching his dad reading to him. So maybe mom lied to him and his dad didn't abandon him after all.

Oh and Hurley writing Empire Strikes Back! Good one!

I have a feeling that Dr. Chang (Miles' dad - he goes by so many diff. names!) didn't "abandon" Miles and his mom like his mom said. I think Dr. Chang knew something bad was going to happen (the "incident") and he sent them away from the island so they wouldn't be hurt/killed. He must have known it was some powerful stuff - that dead guy Miles had to deliver to Horace had his fillings sucked out of his teeth because of the magnetism or whatever!

The dude in the van that grabbed Miles is the same guy shown with Ilana on the beach (I didn't catch his name). So how about this for a "third" side in the struggle for the island: Dharma. Sure Ben and the Hostiles/Others wiped out the Dharma Initiative on the island. But Dharma had to have people on the outside for food drops, recruiting new workers to send in on the submarine, etc. So the outside Dharma folks lost communication with the island Dharma after the purge; the island was prob. also moved after the purge and the outside Dharma folks have been looking for the island ever since, just like Widmore's been doing. I think Ilana, the guy in the van and that shiny metal crate are Dharma. Comments?

Amy - I kinda like what you're saying BUT doesn't Ilana work for Widmore? So if she works for the Dharma, then by association so did Daniel, Miles and Charlotte, and everyone on the freighter? And aren't we sure that was all Widmore?

I think the guys name was Brahm. They may be Dharma or they may be working for Ben and the "others".
