**~~***The Official June 2017 Thread***~~**

For comparison:

45min after opening, 7DMT will have an hour wait time maxing our at a two hour'ish wait later in the day.
45min after opening Frozen Ever After will have a 50min wait maxing out at an hour and a half'ish wait later in the day.

(These are approximations of course)

With Pandora in play, wouldn't KS's waits be a bit lower than normal during the first couple of opening hours? Not arguing, just speculating. What I know about predicting wait times would probably fit on the back of a postage stamp with room to spare. :teeth:

I would think so too- at least for the first hour or so
I'm not sure KS compares to FEA or 7DMT. I would definitely compare the new Pandora rides to those, though.

Someone tell me I made the right decision...

My DH came to me today and said that we could fly down to Orlando on Saturday, May 6th and then go to MK on Sunday, May 7th and fly back on Monday, May 8th. The whole purpose of this trip would be for me to see Wishes one last time. I have a VERY strong sentimental attachment to that show. I sat and cried (into my Mickey wine glass) while watching the live stream the other night. I think I touched a special place in my husband's heart because he made this offer to me after I came back from a weekend work trip today. I quickly got to researching costs and the CHEAPEST I could make this come out to was still going to be almost $1000. We have a 9 day trip to WDW in mid-June. I just can't justify paying $1000 to see fireworks. This is the right decision, right?!

If I put this up on facebook then everyone would think I was crazy for even considering it but I knew you guys on here would understand. I have the sweetest husband but this is just too much, right?! Would you do it??

That's tough. For me, I couldn't afford it so no question. However, if you have a $1000 extra somewhere and it means that much to you, maybe? Sometimes you do have to throw caution to the wind and jump at opportunities that won't present themselves in the future but only you can decide if this is one of those opportunities.

My DH told me to take a girls trip to WDW (or anywhere) because I'm losing it a little these days (lots of stress, no break from kids - teacher and mommy, don't do much for myself kind of thing). And I probably will...but not until 2019 when I have APs for our 2019/2020 trips..because that's the smart thing to do financially speaking for us.

So ya know, think on it. I don't think anyone here would call you crazy if you did it!

Teacher and mommy here too! I totally get it! This would be a mini-trip for just for the two of us, which would be nice. We do have a date night planned on our June trip though. We could technically afford it but not really...ya know? Ugh!!!

Not to rain on your parade, but rain. What if you get there for that ONE night and the show is canceled for weather/technical reasons?

Yikes that's tough! I've been not so subtly hinting to DH that I'd love a quick getaway to DL to see the electric light parade. It's kinda the same thing.... we can afford it, sorta. But- very good point about the rain. I don't think DH is picking up my hints though. By hints, I mean, hey, would it be crazy to go to DL? And telling him that's what I'd like for our anniversary. Subtle.

Last year, DH was out of work and I was on spring break (another teacher!). He offered a last minute Disney cruise due to some stress we had. In the end, I declined and we went to San Diego for WAY cheaper (Hilton points, teacher free passes at sea world). We had a great time.... but he got a job a week later and I kinda wish we would have just jumped in with the cruise. But... if he hadn't gotten a job for 6 more months, I'd prob have been happy we didn't do it.

Summer discounts are out for stays starting June 11. 25% for deluxe, 20% for mod and value.

Wow, so, AK EMH beginning at 7:00am. Which means arriving for RD around 6:00 or 6:15 (I'm going to Uber this bad boy). And we've got TH ROL ADR, and the 1st show is 9:15pm. That. Is. One. Long. Bleeping. Day.

Our AK day is (and hopefully will continue to be) the 5th. On the 4th, the kiddo has the Pirate Adventure Cruise out of POR, then we were going to hit DS. I'd had notions about possibly going to HS late afternoon / evening, but no more! Pool time, noshes in the Regatta Club, then early to bed.

The ride DS really wants to do is Flights, so I'm (hopefully!) going to FP+ that, then we'll do the River ride standby at RD. I hope. Head straight to KS (we'll explore Pandora later when it's time for Flights), FP+ Everest (and maybe standby a couple of times if it's not too crazy yet), Caring for Giants at 10:30, lunch at 11:55, FP+ Kali, catch some of the shows, and periodically grab a beverage / snack then find a spot to rest near a Pokestop and set up a lure. Yes, we play Pokemon Go. Yes, we'll be playing throughout WDW. We are unashamed. :teeth: HOPEFULLY this will carry us until 8:30ish when we'll head over to the ROL theater to get our seats.

But, most important of all: if DS tells me in the middle of the afternoon that he's DONE, we're outta there. We're going back the week after Thanksgiving for 4 days when all the activities will be in the evenings anyway, and we can catch ROL then, if need be. Bottom line: I'm already concerned I'm overplanning a LOT of this trip, and I'm not going to make my poor kiddo suffer just because his Crazy Mom is on a Disney Mission. :(

PS That was a remark about MY planning, NOT about anyone else's.

ROL ADR? For what day? I don't see that July dates have been released yet....

82 days out. I was hoping for better discounts, but it is Summer. We will stay offsite for the 2 weeks. We will have a 1BR and a 2BR unit for the price of a Value for 6 nights. Staying onsite was not important. We will try to do Pandora, but it will not kill me to miss it with the crowds. We will be going back in December at a slower time. Booked surf lessons for DD at TL. She will be surprised. We have are very few ADRs set. I had to settle in for 1 more just to have the ROL package. A minor extra splurge that may let me cancel another ADR that may not be necessary now.

Its about time for us to start watching all of the sale ads. We have to start stocking up on some of the staples like sunscreen.

Any interest in booking a throwaway room to gain the early FP booking advantage?

Its not worth it because I would have to cancel the reservation anyway. My understanding is that I lose the FP selections when I cancel the reservation. The way I see it, I will be there fore 2 weeks. If there is something I want to do but miss *cough* Pandora *cough*, I will just have to go again at another time when prices drop below heart attack level. Even Summer DVC prices are insane. I plan to go back in early December. I can stay onsite then for less renting DVC.

Actually with the throwaway, you would keep it. Most people book a campsite for 1 night.

Finally joining!

We are at AKV - Kidani Village from May 28th to June 6th!

I can't wait to get back home where I belong!

I completely understand - and we are doing the exact same thing! We are going the last weekend in April - we are visiting friends while there so we are only doing 1 night on property - but we are planning to see Wishes one last time. I'd say, if you can swing it, go for it! We are! LOL!

We decided last night to go ahead and do it! I think I'm being absurd for doing it but am willing to deal with it and am VERY excited about it! My DH said that if I was still going back and forth in my head about it that I clearly wanted to do it so he pretty much made the final decision by saying we were committing. If it wasn't my absolute favorite thing and wasn't tied to so many memories, I think that I'd pass. I'm glad I'm not the only one making this decision though. :)

We have gone a million times to Disney, but never in June. I am having such a hard time planning this trip and my FP's are coming up really soon.

What are you having trouble with. This will be our second trip in June and the previous one was in July.
