***The Official June 2016 Thread***

15 days to go!

Yesterday I worked on my hand made anniversary card where I will reveal our trip to hubby!

I have our mini cake designed and will be contacting the Contemporary bakery soon.

Those are great! Is it stickers? We rented points for DVC and got a code for a free Magic My Band stickers. Everyone picked out what they wanted and DH designed them. They were super cute...then the stickers arrived and b/c we'd used the free code from DVC it had their logo messing up half of the sticker. haha I should take a pic. :)

We're getting serious about packing here. We finished all of our shirts (DIY!) and this weekend I started my ziploc system for clothing. I have 8 days of ziplocs x 5 people for our park days. Mine and DHs are already packed (b/c we can just not wear our casual clothes to be able to pack sooner) and the kids only have socks and shirts. Have to wait a little closer for the bottoms or they won't have clothes for school!

We have 4 days before our parks days, so I have to get all of that started too. Hoping to do the rest this weekend!
So you pack each outfit in a Ziplock? Does this save space in the suitcase? I know it has to help with organization! I may try this method. I picked up some of the jumbo Ziplock bags too. We leave on June 4 and are staying for 11 days. We can't wait!!!

Thanks! They are vinyl stick-ons I ordered on ETSY. Completely customizable & only took a week to get. I have someone local for our shirts. They should be done this week. I'm ready to pack!

Yep! It's just so convenient. It may actually take slightly more space (if there is air in the bags) but I have each bag labeled with the day of the week. Could do names, but mine will be obvious who they belong to so I just do the day of the week (and actually the #day of my trip). When I put them into a suitcase I'll load all of the Sundays on the bottom, then all of the Saturdays, etc until the first day is on the top!

I pack very similarly (but without the ziplocs) for all trips. Normally I'd do bottoms with shirt, undies, socks inside and then folded together. Stack them into the sets so everyone's clothes for each day is together and pulled out of the suitcase in that order. But for WDW with needed certain shirts on certain days I like to make sure they don't get out of order. But really having the entire outfit together is a huge help. I'll also have one for each of the kids with an extra outfit in my park bag.

I'll have to take a pic. It looks a little massive right now. :)

If I had jumbo size bags I'm thinking do the same method but depending on just how jumbo everyone's outfit for each day in one. I'd like that too!

I like that plan. I am an organizer too! I have a different suitcase for each person and I usually just pack them in the order that they will be worn (without the ziplocks). I am going to try the ziplock method. I am not sure how I am going to use the jumbo bags yet. I got them on sale this weekend and thought they may come in handy with some part of the packing. Maybe beach towels or more bulky items since we are also heading the the water parks and The Villages to visit my in-laws. I need to start laying things out. I only have this weekend and next left!

We're driving and have an offsite stay before our WDW trip, so we're actually having to organize 3 separate bags so we don't have to unload everything at the first hotel. We'll arrive on a Monday to one hotel where we'll visit the water parks while we're staying (this is one suitcase). We check out on Thursday and check into AKL on Thursday (this is another suitcase b/c we'll spend the day at the resort + pool. Our biggest will be for Thursday - 2nd Sunday at AKL. We just like for everything to be as organized as possible ahead of time to save time on the trip. :)

I like that plan! I am going to have to figure out a way to make something like that work for us. Thanks for your suggestions. I always love to hear how other people pack and organize for vacations.

I'm curious if we'd be able to all use the Groupon for a flight?! It says "limit one per visit". Think I can buy 4 for my family (on the same Groupon acct) and use them all at once?

If you printed them out maybe?? This is my first time to use Groupon. So I'm not sure, my SIL is who told me about it.

You mentioned keeping an extra outfit in your park bag. What all do you carry to the park? I am trying to go stroller free this year, but that means I am going to have to carry more in the backpack. I am hoping to eliminate a few things from the bag.

We'll have two bags. DH carries at camera backpack where the top is open for other stuff. He carries snacks. I'll carry the clothes (1 ziploc per person w/full outfit...except shoes), diapers, wipes, possibly more snacks!

We do take a stroller (two this trip actually) so in the handlebar we'll have water bottles for everyone. Last trip we also carried a soft sided cooler w/cold drinks, snacks and that rode in the stroller basket. Without the stroller we'd at least want our water bottles!

That sounds about like what I carry plus a few additional items. I have a hydro flask water bottle for each of us, plus autograph books, small camera, small first aid kit, small sunscreen, pennies for pressing, pins for trading, and an external battery charger for my phone. I did a test run over the weekend and it all fit, it was just a bit heavy. I may end up taking the stroller on our longer days when we may need to carry more and to give the girls a break. My girls are 8 and 6, so they are perfectly able to walk. I feel like if I have the stroller they become dependent on it and whine when about riding in it (because they always want to ride!).

Well, now you've reminded me that we'll be carrying phones this trip! So, let's add that to my list and also my husband has several battery chargers to reboot the phones or gopro as needed. I don't think I even carried a phone on our 2013 trip. I didn't need it!

Lol!! It is a must now with all of the reservation times (although I do keep a hard copy of those in my bag too!)

We only need 4. So, I bought a "ride for 2" and had DH buy another "ride for 2" on his account....just in case. That'll be a fun surprise :)

We are also doing this for our "on the road" stop Friday night. So we'll pack pjs and Saturday (arrival at Disney) clothes in one suitcase for everyone.

So out of total curiosity... How long is everyone's travel time? Driving or flying?

We are driving & takes 5.5 hours
