***The Official June 2016 Thread***

I did not know dining reservations opened at 6AM. OK, I'll do it.....grumble, grumble. LOL. This is the last tweak to our trip. I am thinking the old Soarin' will be a Tier 1. But if it is a Tier 2, then I also have to cancel Turtle Talk and grab Soarin. I don't want to give up Test Track in Tier 1.
Only online at 6am. Call in starts at 7am.

We were fortunate to get some of those special any park FPs, so I'm going to change TT to Soarin and use the any time FP for TT.

Only Tiffins available for the Jungle Book & my famly doesn't like the menu there. We already have reservtions at Tusker House for 6:50pm. I am calling at 7am to see if they can use that & make it into the Jungle Book dining package...

My SIL booked Tiffins for now, but still calling to link our Tusker House.

Well, looks like fastpass site is taking a big hit this morning. Hmmm.... wonder why? LOL
This is frustrating.
Anyone have any luck with Soaring?

Not yet....

BTW - we can't link our pre-existing reservations for Tusker House. They said you have to book the Jungle Book reservation separately then cancel the existing reservation.

We will miss all of the new openings, which is sad. :( I can only hope that the crowds will be smaller because they will wait for the new attractions before traveling to WDW.

Too bad as Soarin (the old one) is in Tier 1 and we don't want to give up our Test Track FP! We are just going to keep checking the wait time on our App on Saturday night, and if no luck, head there at rope drop on Sunday AM. Unfortunately, there are early morning hours on Sunday morning. This was our last piece of the puzzle. Our FP's are for Magic Kingdom on Sunday which we are heading to in the afternoon.
We got an FP for the Jungle Book on Friday night, so we are keeping our original dining reservation at Tusker House for 6:40PM.
Now, if only FEA has some testing and we just happen to be walking by at the time..... :)

Never could get a JB pkg for TH 6/7 breakfast for 5 people. I have an existing TH but no luck on the pkg. I checked online and by calling in. I did book both a FP for JB (as a back up) and old Soarin'.

According to other threads, looks like they haven't loaded in Tusker House packages yet. Keep checking back! I am a little confused. We already have dinner reservations and we grabbed the FP for the early show. Is there a benefit to switching to the package and cancelling our reservation when it becomes available? I am thinking the dining packages and FP will both be seated in the Asia viewing area. Just a guess on my part. So would the dining pkg. people get a little better seating - ie. in middle or closer to the front? I am so tired of tweaking, I am thinking of leaving well enough alone, unless there are some big price differences. Looks like the same price right now.

On an afterthought - maybe they are trying to load in Tiffins first because it is new and the menu is pretty adventurous. And it is more $$$ - $67 vs $49 at TH.

Apparently the FP side is different than the ding pkg/standby side. The speculation is dining pkgs get closer to the middle but who really knows at this point. The only benefit I see is that it eats up 1 less FP since we have TH already booked. I did see some people get TH breakfast already so who really knows but I was working with a CM on the phone for 30 minutes bc she couldn't get it to work right. She told me to keep checking and even call back. So I haven't given up hope yet.

If the site ever comes back up, and Tusker House dinner pkg. is available, then I will book it to free up a FP.

I looked about 30 min ago. Tiffins was available at 11am for 6/7 (my date) but no TH anywhere from 9-12. I'm going to check again in a minute.

It seems that the JB dining packages have seating in the Dinoland area. The nicer area is the Asia seating
  • Plan to arrive for The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic seating 15-to-35 minutes prior to show time. Please use the theater entrance located closest to DinoLand U.S.A. Your seats are not assigned. Rather, you choose your seats within the reserved section on a first-come, first-served basis.
And this:
FastPass+ guests will be seated in the theater on the Asia side, while standby and dining package guests will be seated on the DinoLand side theater.

The show is approximately 20 minutes long.

Don't know if either seating has any obstructed views....

Tusker dining packages are up now for June!

:crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:After planning several DW trips. This surprise trip for DD has been the most challenging. I have never had so many unknowns 16 days before we leave. I did manage to get 3 more things finalized today.

My poor DH is ready to kick me out of bed if I'm up one more morning at 4 AM trying to book stuff for this trip.

Disney has definitely made trip planning a pain in the hiney this year. Now to start packing without DD finding out :crazy2:

Anyone else close enough to be watching the weather?! I know you're not supposed to check so far out but it's looking like our first 5 days are all rain! Hoping it changes for the better!

At this time of year nearly any day could result in some rain. Usually the heat of the day can bring an afternoon shower - anytime from 1 pm onward really - but it's usually not a big rain but a fast & hard downpour that blows over.

Hard part is once it's gone and the sun comes out the humidity is unbearable until the water all dries up.

Don't worry about the rain forecast.
