So i checked in at AKL today in a standard room. No view this afternoon of animals (I assumed I didn't get the pixie dust of a partial savannah view standard), so I took a nap. Well, I just woke up, There are 7 zebras and 4 other animals right outside my balcony! It is so amazing!

Happy 4th of July everyone!!!! The weather is crappy here at home but the rest of the weekend looks good for going outdoors. Enjoy your BBQ's... Disney touring or packing/planning! I even moved things again last night! I think we are finally set on our days but that might change again - who knows!!

Had an amazing first day!!!! Love our Royal Room at POR!!!! We got all are requests and got upgraded to a river view!!!! Love it!!!! Went to Downtown Disney and bought my Mickey ears!!!!! I'll be wearing them to MK tomorrow. Yea!!!

That is wonderful, did you send a FAX, we sent ours this week for our Saturday checkin, hoping for something nice, maybe a little pixie dust.

Yay!! We loved our Royal Room last June and we were also upgraded to river view. I bet you're in the same area we were! To open that door each morning and see the beautiful fountain, gardens, and river.....ahhhh Have a fabulous time!!

Mom of 2: We sent an email since I didn't have the ability to fax, and we were so pleased. I even received a response to my email since I asked for a deep clean prior to check in for allergy reasons

Happy 4th of July everyone! We have rain here in NYC today but they said on the news that it should clear in time for tonight's fireworks. That doesn't help my BBQ, but we will have fun indoors this year instead! We have been lucky for a few years and haven't had rain on the 4th for a long time, so I can't complain. Just glad to be spending it with family and great friends!

Bon voyage and safe travels to those on their way today and tomorrow! 2 weeks until we hit the road!

I moved my company to tomorrow. No one wants to sit inside in the rain looking at the in ground pool in the yard. Lol. Of course, that means I better use this rainy day to PACK for Tuesday!!!!

Rain here in Boston too. The official 4th was celebrated yesterday. Our town parade is going on right now, even though there is a heavy downpour. We are, instead, having a Harry Potter marathon. Although the bbq has been abandoned, we are still planning for that other American favorite, pizza!

This might be a "dumb" question, but these are the things that go through my head as I'm trying to fall asleep 2 weeks before our trip...you know, all the last minute what ifs. Since the addition of Memory Maker, they still have regular Photopass, right? If you don't purchase MM, can you still get a PP card and do regular PP? Would it still be the card, or does it link to your Magic Band somehow? We were JUST there last June and there have been SO MANY changes since then. I feel like a newbie all over again, ha!!

We did not purchase MM on our May trip - Photopass photographers just scanned my band, DH's band or DD3's band and all pictures were viewable under my MDE account. We could then go through them and select which ones we wanted and edit as needed. We did not have a card in May - they just used our bands! It was super easy!

We did purchase MM for this trip as it is 9 days long and we know we will get lots of family shots that we will want!
