*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

Like the rest of you, I stayed up until midnight this week to schedule FP+. Was able to get A&E for each of the three days we are in MK. DD6 is beyond excited. Was also able to plan 7DMT for two days. Definitely a bit of a hassle, but well worth it to know that it's done. Scheduled most of them for the mornings since I'm anticipating midday breaks at the hotel. Was excited to also be able to book MSEP, Wishes and the FOF parade at 60 days. I thought I would have to wait until closer to 30. Now onto placing an order with Amazon Prime Pantry and arranging a packing list. Oh, the planning never ends.

From the Garden Grocer website: (I played with the formatting, not the content) "Place Your Order In Advance And Save Minimum Days Before Delivery....Discount 15 days...............................5.00 % off sub-total 30 days..............................7.00 % off sub-total 60 days.............................,10.00 % off sub-total"

Thanks!! :-)

You're welcome.

Also, an alternative for people ordering less than we did:
Staples offers free shipping with a $20 purchase if you join their (free) rewards program.

So you could get 2 cases of water and a box of cookies or something, and free shipping. I think my sister in law may go this route.

The only downside (aside from somewhat limited offerings) is that you can't set a delivery date. You have to order fairly close to your trip.

That's a good idea. I never even thought about staples. I order from amazon but we easily order enough to make the free delivery minimum purchase of $25. I get water, snacks, sun cream and bug spray (what a combination :lmao:). Garden Grocer works out a bit more expensive for this for some reason. Possibly because we aren't really getting much food.

Has anyone been able to get a FP+ for Be Our Guest the last week in July? I keep trying to get one so I could pick up some cupcakes (ds9 is allergic to nuts and theirs are the only nut free ones). I've been trying for the past two days. It's past my 60-day FP+ mark for attractions! but I'm trying to get the lunch FP for July 24th, which is till more than 60 days away. Any idea when it might be available? I'm assuming since it says to select a different day, it's not yet available on that day. I don't think they'd book up that fast but then again, I'm not experienced with this yet.

I read on the Facebook group that it only has dates up until June 28 right now, which sounds about right, we weren't able to get our December one until about a month out.

This is what I plan on doing. We will be there 11 days and as a family of 5 I'm thinking of ordering 5 cases of water. Or maybe 6. We can easily go through 10 bottles of water a day. Hmmm.:scratchin

Joining! We have traditionally been winter visitors, but are thrilled to find out how we like summer in the parks! July 12-16 following a stay on Manasota Key. This is our 2nd trip this year, so we are keeping our WDW portion short and sweet. We are at the Poly... Construction can't keep us away! And DH just decided we should upgrade to Club Level and call it our anniversary celebration. :cool1:A bit early, but 15 years!

Ok - so how are you all spending your Memorial Day? Anyone planning to July Plan??? ::yes::I am planning to go through all of my FP's with maps of the parks... I'm going to highlight all rides we already booked and circle rides we plan to hit at RD - I want to make sure that we are actually covering the main stuff we want to that way! Anyone else as crazy as I? :confused3:cool1:

Oh yeah... also checking out Sesame Place... how does it compare to WDW? I will soon find out!;)

:thumbsup2 Sounds like a plan.

I am going to try to talk DH into going to a ranch the kids and I like to go to. Spend the day there, come home to some good BBQ.

We have a BBQ at a friend's house tomorrow and one at my parents' house on Monday. Tomorrow before we head out, DS9 has rehearsal for his upcoming music concert (he is in weekly singing lessons). I definitely plan to do some July planning over the weekend. I have all our FP+ times written down, along with a list with which rides we are going to in between and at rope drop. I'm going to type all of that up. I've always typed up our specific park itineraries and I bring them into the parks with us. I'm also going to look at park maps, especially MK because we haven't been there since anything has opened in new fantasyland.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone, and enjoy the unofficial start of summer!!! :)

Oooo! That sounds like a fun day! Hope you can talk him into it! Enjoy the BBQ! We are planning to indulge a bit on Monday as well!

Yay!!! Summer is unofficially starting isn't it??? That really does mean that our July vacations are coming closer!

I also type up itineraries for us and bring a small print-out in the parks - it's been really helpful with ADR and FP times! I hate always having to bring up the app - I also took screen shots from the app with times on it to look at quickly on my phone while in the parks - sometimes the app can take forever to load when you really just need to check something out quickly!

We are working around the house and in the yard....after I head back to the Disney store tomorrow am to attempt again to get DD a new Elsa dress as hers from last fall is getting small on her and she would like a new one for the trip...fun for me!

You are checking in at disney on July 20th then right? My fp time is tonight at midnight and I check in the 20th!!!! Good luck

No we're checking in on the 19th which is why I didn't understand why I couldn't book! But it all worked out and I ended up getting what we wanted for fast pass times.

I'm part of the "crazy" as well! :-). We are having a cookout on Memorial Day, but Sunday I was planning on taking a harder look at the park maps. We are rope droppers too.....we have 3 full days at MK this trip so I think we should be good, but I need at least a "tentative" plan or I'll go nuts. My kids are wanting to do more in terms of rides this time around but they still love character meets as well....plus my parents who have never been are joining us this time and I want to make sure they get to do what they'd like too. Good thing I like to plan!

I just wanted to drop by to say Hi! I miss you all. Hope every ones planes are going well. You are getting so close.

Our plans just completely changed! DH informed us this am that he booked castaway bay for tonight with cedar point tickets for tomorrow!

Not Disney breaking news, but, DH told me this morning that if I wanted to take DD to the American Girl store I could. And for me to pick up something for DS at the Lego store as well. My third stop at this mall will be the DISNEY STORE.:cool1: I think I may need to check his temp. LOL

Don't stop to question it, run, run ....before he realizes what he said :rotfl:
