*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

So I have an answer. Even though EVERYTHING says I can do fastpass on the 20th of May, they're showing at the call center that I can't do it until the 21st. I have a letter, an email, my welcome booklet, everything that says the 20th.... but they won't let me do it until tomorrow. It's just one day and I'll live, I'm just disappointed....

Midnight Eastern time. :-)

You are checking in at disney on July 20th then right? My fp time is tonight at midnight and I check in the 20th!!!! Good luck

I booked all our FP+ today and got everything we wanted at exact times or very similar to what I had planned (within 15 minutes). :)

I can't believe we are down to 38 days until our trip. We have so much going on here that days are flying by. And I'm obsessing over everything, reading the DIS when I can to get updates and rethinking plans. I'm a crazy woman here! :lmao:

You are not alone. I am obsessing and rethinking here too. I am trying to figure out if we should use our FP first thing at rope drop, in hopes of getting more....

I'm right there with you! I've played around with fastpasses so many times in the past week and have even changed some dining! I have 53 days to go :)

I know the next few weeks are going to fly by with DD's dance recital coming up and school ending and everything else going on!

I just saw about Disney on Ice adding the new Frozen show so I'm looking into getting tickets to that for early next year and still obsessed with attempting to find my DD an Elsa dress in a larger size! She has one we bought last year before Halloween but she had a growth spurt and really wants a dress that's nice and long on her for when she meets Elsa and Anna! (on a note, it cracks me up that just last Halloween nobody knew who she was when she was dressed as Elsa - she has to explain to everyone who the new ice queen was and now look at it...) Ok, sorry for my rambling this morning...

42 days!!

Those of you who are there for the 4th, what are your plans the 3rd and 4th?

Planning on going to AK on the 3rd then dinner at 1900 and watching fireworks from GF OR IF I can find someone else interested to help split costs, I have a specialty cruise booked for that night to see the MK fireworks!

Then on the 4th, morning pool time and/or mini-golf, then Epcot for dinner and FP+ for Illuminations!

I stayed up last night and booked all of our FP+ at midnight and was able to get everything we wanted either at the exact times or within 10-15 minutes also. I have been obsessing the past few weeks about what to select and the best times. I am happy with all of my choices except Hollywood Studios. I might make some changes to that day.

Funny!! I had the exact same feelings. In my plans I had things on the hour or half hour, so it drove me crazy when things were only available at _:40 or _:10 instead. I am also unsure about our DHS plans. Stupid tiering!

I thought about this a lot also and went back and forth. I decided in the end that using all of our FP first thing would probably not work very well for us. A lot of what I have been reading is that the headliners have not been available for people to select as a 4th or 5th FP unless it is late in the day. We would want another for Toy Story at HS and Soarin and Test Track at Epcot and with the increased crowds in July I doubt there will be any available for these attractions.

It seems that MK has the most availability for extra FP's but I am still going to hope that the waits will not be too long at RD and that we will be able to get a lot of rides done in the first couple of hours. I put my FP's between 11:30am and 3:00pm at MK and I am hoping that we will be able to get additional ones for the non-headliners. They are all spread out at Epcot but that is just because of our plans to eat at Biergarten at 12:30 and then go around World Showcase.

I have spent too much time trying to pick the right time and attractions for our FP's. I might make some changes to the ones for HS but after that I am not going to think about it any more and just hope for the best. After all I will be at Disney and not at work.

We're finally approaching our 60 day mark, and the emails are flying as we prepare to book those FPs!

I placed our order through Garden Grocer and got the 10% discount... hey, it may as well be in my pocket as theirs. Our order isn't going to change, so there was no harm in booking early.

Woohoo... I got up at midnight and booked my fast passes.. I was able to get everything I wanted including Anna and Elsa and the mine train.
I thought it was a little time consuming being given a time then goin back to change that time after to a time we wanted.. 59 days and counting now

I agree. I wish you could just request your times initially, like with online ADRs. It would be less time consuming.

I also found this a nuisance and waste of time for no apparent reason. After the first few days I started immediately hitting the selection option that gave me times that were completely opposite to what I wanted (so if I wanted late afternoon / evening FP's I chose the earliest morning set) and then at least when I went to change them there were no conflicts. I find shifting something a pain too. When you have them for say 10, 11, 12 am and you want to change one of them, you have to shift them all and even if you may have initially got them back to back, when you go change, if the time is off for one by 5 minutes it won't let you book it without having to shift everything else too.

What time did you get your FP for? Our first one is at 9:10 for A&E. The rest are pretty much back to back in FL.

I don't have them on me right now, but this is roughly what we got for FP+ in July.

7/20: Soarin, living with the land, and figment (first two in mid-afternoon and last one after dinner, around 7:00)
7/21: TSMM, star tours, disney junior live (all morning before lunch)
7/22: Soarin, spaceship earth, turtle talk (morning)
7/24: Peter Pan, big thunder, splash (all before lunch)

Those are the first four days. We have a resort day the 23rd. I have to go teach my class, will post more at home later!
