It was gorgeous here this past weekend with temps in the 70's and sunny. Then it snowed/sleeted this afternoon and evening and we're under a freeze warning until later this morning...??? Really???

I know. Sunday was 85 and gorgeous, yesterday was 78 and today it's supposed to snow tonight after rain all day. I want my 70-80 back. Love warm weather.

Same in Ohio 70 degrees at 6 am yesterday, 27 today at the same time with snow on the ground!

I hadn't checked the July park hours for a while, and just checked them out this morning. Many of our dates have extended the hours since I last checked in February. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else hadn't checked in a while :thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm going to check it out right now. I'm doing a lot of planning this week since I'm off.

Same here! It's been such a weird Spring Break so far! Sat and Sun were in the 90s and I got terrible sunburn because there was such a cool ocean breeze that it didn't feel hot. Then yesterday and today have been 70 and pouring rain (so those have been my Disney days!) :)

It looks as though MK extended most nights to 11 or 12 with EMH going until 1. DHS extended to 10 (was previously 8:30) AK extended some nights (Wed and Thurs) to 8:00.

Sorry about the sunburn. I've had way too many bad ones and I always wear SPF 50 now. I'm always reapplying at WDW and also for the kids!

I looked at the park hours. Nothing affects out plans. We take advantage of the morning EMH and those are the same as the last time I checked. I'm sure when the boys get older we will take advantage of the evening EMH though!

I'm thinking of trying to get a FP+ for Be Our Guest even though we have an early lunch at LTT. DS9 has nut allergies, and BOG is the only place from what I've read, where he could have fresh baked goods. And he does love cupcakes. We do have a dinner ADR there on the last night of our trip, but several days before that we will also be at MK, so I'm thinking of maybe making a 2:00 ADR (that's around the time we leave the park), getting a few cupcakes and bringing them back to the hotel. I could freeze them and he could have a different one each day for a few days. I could always bring an empty container in my backpack in case they don't do cupcakes to go. Then on the last night when we go there for dinner he could order a cupcake for dessert. But...I wonder how easy it will be to get. FP+ for BOG. I know it's not part of the 3 ride FP+ but I've read that is could be difficult to get.

Can we please be added to the list. I can't believe I took this long to join!

Poly CL: July 27th - August 2nd. Can't wait!! :cool1:

From what I've read the difficulty is that some people are getting email invitations and some are just using the "secret" link that was posted on the DIS. Some of those who didn't receive invitations are being told when they arrive that their reservation can't be found and they're asking them if they received the email. The suggestion is to take a screen shot (or print) your confirmation page in case that happens. I'm such a rule follower, that I feel nervous booking without getting the email, but I might just in case we don't get one, since some are saying they didn't get the email until they actually arrived for their vacation. (The planner in me needs to know sooner than that! ha!)

As for BOG lunch, we tried it last summer and loved it. In fact, we chose to forego dinner there and do lunch again this year. The dinner menu didn't really appeal to us that much, and the prices were a little much for how little we'd actually eat. Their cupcakes are A-MAZING! I think your son will love them! It's a shame more places can't guarantee a fresh nut free dessert!

Do you kids go to Downingtown school district? My Aunt is an Elementary School teacher in that district. Small world kind of thing! I will add the pop century to the front page. We've stayed there and loved it. You guys will have a great time.
WE were in Downingtown, now we are in Coatesville. What school is your aunt at? our kids went to Bradford Heights when we were in district. world just keeps getting smaller:)

That's good to know about the email. I guess I'll try the link and see what happens. I'll just print out the confirmation and bring it along. I also wish there were more nut free baked goods. At least he could still have soft serve ice cream and dole whips. I just wish he could have a treat from the Boardwalk Bakery since we always stay at BWV, our DVC home. His allergist is also retesting him for all nuts to see how he is. He tested negative for peanuts on a skin test. He had been eating peanut butter and Nutella up until a reaction to a pecan a year and a half ago, and then we were advised to avoid all tree nuts as well as peanuts since the blood test indicated a positive result. However, there is a very high percentage of false positives. So after the blood test results come back, he said we will likely do a food challenge with peanuts in his office and if there's no reaction he doesn't have to worry about peanuts. He is also wondering about hazelnuts since he always ate Nutella before the pecan incident. And also almonds since about two weeks before the reaction to the pecan, he tasted almond butter and had no reaction. We shall see what happens. Even with just pecan or pecan & walnut (they're closely related, he never had walnut before and the results were a very high positive for walnut), I would still not want to give him something from a bakery that uses them. At least he's not allergic to dairy and can still have soft serve, which he loves and is great on those hot summer days.

Still more than 60 days away but spending part of my spring break FP+ planning. We arrive on Sunday July 20 mid-afternoon. We have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's at 6:20 because I wanted to get some character interactions out of the way on our first day. Was thinking of taking the monorail from CR over to MK and booking Enchanted Tales with Belle, followed by The Electric Light Parade and then Wishes. Thoughts? My reasoning is that I wouldn't want to use my FP+ for these items on a full park day, but it could be a good way to get easy access to these popular events on a half-day. Clearly, I'll be up at midnight booking these items along with a M&G. With Anna and Elsa for DD 6.

Hello
I've seen around the boards that during very busy times they may open parks earlier. The schedule for the July 4th week has no early magic hours. Do they sometimes change the schedules?
