It's been dang near forever since I posted in here, I have a LOT to go back and read!
I'm sorry to hear about the sick kiddos and I hope they all feel better soon!!
DD17 is having knee surgery on April 18th, and her recovery time is 6-12 weeks which puts her at possibly recovering the week we leave for disney. Her surgeon says that with her being so young and active that he expects her to be recovered closer to the 6 week mark than the 12, and that there's no doubt that she'll be fine for disney. I'm a little worried about her walking around all day, but he said that by that time she should be healed anyway, and that the walking would be good for her. If for some reason this proves to be not true, we said we'd rent her a wheelchair lol.
I started looking at all the fast pass selections, and I have a general "tour" planned out. Nothing too specific but I'm ready to plan my fast passes when it's my time! Come on May 20th!!!
We also made plans for
legoland, instead of taking a "rest day" and staying at the resort we're going over to legoland for the day after we eat at chef mickeys, this will be DD8's special day because it's all the stuff he wants to do. On the way back to louisiana we have 2-3 beach days depending on how long we want to stay so we can get plenty of rest then.
We've worked out dog sitting! My sister is moving back home from Chicago this summer so between her and her husband, my mom, my brother, and our friend on base the dogs are covered and taken care of.
We've booked DD17's flight from Nebraska, unfortunately we out it off for about a week too long. I had checked the prices and found a flight for $248 round trip and we kept waiting until it was a little closer so we were sure of the dates she wanted to be here before booking. When we finally settled on the dates, the ticket price had magically gone up to $345 instead. So lesson learned, next time book early.....
We've also decided to leave on Friday the 18th after work, and just driving as far as we can until we're tired and get a hotel room for the night. If we could make it to mobile then we'd drive 7 hours friday night, and 7 1/2 the next day. It would just help break it up a little so we're not in the car for almost 15 hours straight. Plus we'd be able to spend some time at downtown disney on Saturday or at the resort instead of getting there close to midnight and just crashing.
Only one more month of school for me! Let me tell you, algebra is going to be the death of me..... I'll be glad when I'm done with this class, I did homework for 3 hours yesterday and then had an excruciating headache!
Ok now I'm going to read the last 50 pages that I missed!
