Anybody have any luck booking the new Illuminations dessert party or Mickey's Backyard BBQ for July? MDE just shows all of July as greyed out like you're not able to book it yet...?

dear fence sitter! Glad to have your two days of July to keep you with us as well. If you subscribed to any thread, when you log on, you can hit the user cp button in the upper left corner and it will show you all of the threads you are in with new responses.

When you respond, you should be automatically subscribed.

User CP has a list of your subscriptions. Ones with a new response should automatically be listed; the rest can be accessed by going to the "List subscriptions" link that will come up once you hit "User CP."

How funny... we're celebrating our 25th too, and will be at the Yacht Club from the 29th to the 5th!! (and ours isn't a romantic trip for 2 either, it's a family reunion where we'll be joined by my brother in law and sister in law and their families.)

Oh, and something was off here yesterday. I responded on a thread and still wasn't subscribed to it-- it must have been some sort of a glitch since responding should have made it automatic.

Congrats to you, too! Now that our girls are approaching the "leave the nest" point, we just didn't want to do Disney without them - we will have plenty of years together after they are on their own, but for now I am trying to make memories with them... before they are all grown up!

I love celebrating special occasions at Disney!
Happy 25th! We celebrated our anniversary there a few years ago. Make sure you note it on ADRs and get anniversary buttons. We have gotten special desserts and even champagne ( I think at Narcoossees- which is my favorite signature btw.

Thanks for the heads-up.... Don't recall any perks like the ones you described, except at Jiko, (where they knew we were celebrating our anniversary),but it wasn't a "milestone" year for us. Lots of well wishes, though, on my birthday - which does make for an extra pleasant stay. Since our anniversary is in August (as well as my birthday - only a few days apart) and we always vacation then, the vacation always ends up being a celebration of the two. As I recall from our last trip, Disney tries to make special occasions even more special - which is one of the reasons I love the World so much!

I just checked on the website not the app and there are tables for Mickey's Backyard BBQ for 4 or 6 on July 12th. There are other nights available the week of July 20th.

I did not see Illuminations Dessert Party available at all. I looked on the website the day it was announced and did not see any availability then. Other people have posted they they were able to get a reservation for July 19th and August 1st. I don't know if they booked on line or called Disney.

We almost did the desert party on the 15th! We ended up then changing it to our last night on the 19th.
Looks like a fun schedule! I almost have mine in order

I try to schedule some new things each time we go since we've been so many times! Akershus dinner, Mickey's BBQ, and LTT lunch are all new dining for us. Think I may try to get a FP for BOG lunch unless I get lucky and can get a dinner reservation one of our MK days...DD really liked seeing the Beast last time... Also debating whether we do Chef Mickey's for brunch on our last day or change it to dinner on a different night and do OHana for brunch on check out day...

And of course I'm second guessing the move to Akershus instead of CRT... Hmmm...
