*** The Official July 2014 thread, join us won't you? ***

Thanks to the summer promo - we just upgraded to a moderate. We were at Pop Century and are now at Carribean Beach.

We did the same thing - we had talked about staying at ASMo again since the kids love the Toy Story theming but since they are not including, it was a better deal to move up to CBR. I'm looking forward to the pool!

We have stayed at CBR once before and my son loved it! The pool is really nice. We stayed in a pirate room last time. This time we will be in a standard room (to save a little money). The food court doesn't seem quite as busy as it does at the value resorts.

Joining in here. Arriving July 13th for a 4 night cruise on the Dream and then BC for the 17th before going off site until the 26th.

I looked into booking our final week (7/12 - 7/19) with the Disney Visa promo, but decided to go with Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We are staying in a 1257 sq. ft. 2 br/2 ba vs. a 540 sq. ft. 2 br/2 ba (AofA family suite), plus gaining a full kitchen. We'll have our own car, so we don't need to rely on Disney buses. With AofA being $750 more, it just doesn't make sense for our family of 6 to stay on-site for an entire week. I am looking forward to that first night at AofA just to have the experience of being onsite and getting our magic bands.

Congrats to all who saved money!! :)

We decided not to take the promo. We are booked at POFQ - our fave resort. However, that's not included in the promo. We went to AAA to see what the price difference would be to change. While it would be a nice savings, it wasn't enough for us to want to give up POFQ.... soooooo..... we didn't change. I'm happy about it though, because last time at POFQ I felt like I was in my own personal paradise. :)

We decided not to take the promo as well because POFQ was not included. Happy for everyone who did save money. :thumbsup2

:welcome: to our thread. So happy to have you with us. I will get you added to our ever increasing in number front page. Thanks for joining in with our fun group.

So excited to use the promo and upgrade from the POFQ to the Wilderness Lodge. Just a short boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. Yay!!!

We are the same. In 2010 they had over booked POFQ and offered to upgrade us to SSR and I said no thanks. I booked the resort I wanted to stay at. The end. :rotfl: It's funny because I can't isolate a single factor that keeps drawing us back to POFQ. It's definitely not ordinarily my taste in decor. Now I figure we don't have to understand why to love it. There is just something special about it. :thumbsup2

I just revised my BOG ADR's from 6 until 4 so right now there is a table for 2 available on July 14 at 4 and for 2 on July 19 at 4:10.

I like it because it is small. I have some leg issues that came from some complications while in the hospital a few years back. I sometimes have trouble walking around the parks, so it's nice to have a small resort that I can walk around without my legs giving out. :) I also love the boat to DTD. The ride is nice. But, yeah, some of the Mardi Gras decor is not us. lol :goodvibes

Please bear with me - I haven't been on the boards since our first (and only) trip in '09 and it's taking me awhile to remember how this all works. :scratchin Hope I am posting as I should - heading to the world July 30-Aug 5 for a stay at AKL (yes, I have posted on the August thread, too, since I'm a fence sitter!).

With all of the winter weather we have had this year, I am really starting to become excited about this trip. :cheer2: Although we are taking our DDs (teens), we decided to take this trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary - and we plan on doing some signature dining meals to make it special. Here's what we have booked:

Jiko
California Grill
Narcoosees

Plus Raglan Road, BOG :cloud9: (I don't know how I did it, but I managed to snag a 6pm dinner res on my first try just the other day...and from what I gather this is quite a feat?), and Boma. I really want to try Sanaa, but we are already going to pay OOP for a few meals so we can pool our dining credits for the signatures, and I don't know how we would have time/room in our bellies for yet another meal...anyone been to both Sanaa and Boma who can give me their opinion on which one we should choose? When we stayed last time, we did Boma (Sanaa was not around then) and liked it, but I don't remember it standing out in my memory for any particular reason...

Any thoughts?

Oh, and BTW - silly question, I know, but can anyone please remind me how I can keep track of where I have posted in various threads so I can check back for responses, etc.? I recall reading in the basic threads about subscribing, but I must not be looking in the right place on my toolbar to activate? Or will the envelope icon just have an arrow on it? I seem to remember a bright green arrow or some such which let me know I had commented on that thread? (Like I said, I am pretty much a hot mess on here at the moment  as I try to find time to catch a clue between working to afford this trip and playing mom taxi to my DD.)

Thanks in advance for your patience and kindness! :goodvibes

:welcome: dear fence sitter! Glad to have your two days of July to keep you with us as well. :lmao: If you subscribed to any thread, when you log on, you can hit the user cp button in the upper left corner and it will show you all of the threads you are in with new responses.

How funny... we're celebrating our 25th too, and will be at the Yacht Club from the 29th to the 5th!! (and ours isn't a romantic trip for 2 either, it's a family reunion where we'll be joined by my brother in law and sister in law and their families.)

Happy anniversary!

Oh, and something was off here yesterday. I responded on a thread and still wasn't subscribed to it-- it must have been some sort of a glitch since responding should have made it automatic.

Well if you spot us there, yell at us so we can come over and say hi :) You can see what we look like from my signature photos :goodvibes

I love celebrating special occasions at Disney!
Happy 25th! We celebrated our anniversary there a few years ago. Make sure you note it on ADRs and get anniversary buttons. We have gotten special desserts and even champagne ( I think at Narcoossees- which is my favorite signature btw.
