That is AWESOME, Bob. So happy for you.

Thanks - OMG - don't know why it double posted.... Maybe because I am on the road and doing speech to post. You know how cell phones can be.:-[

I am looking for some help/advice from the veteran summer travelers here. This is not our first trip to WDW but it is our first trip in the summer and heat. All of our other trips have been in Nov, Dec, or Jan. Previously we arrived for RD and remained until closing (or close to it) without taking breaks. We are all night owls so staying up late will not be a problem. We should have an early night the night before so we should not have any problem making RD. This trip we will only have 4 park days so I am trying to maximize our MK day.

It will be me, DH, DD17, DS12, DS7, and DGM. The day before and the day after our MK day will not be park days. We will use those days to swim at the resort, visit a water park, sleep-in, or do whatever.

My plans are to arrive at MK for RD and ride as much as we can before lunch. We are planning to eat a late lunch at BOG. Then I thought we could visit Mickey's Philharmonic, COP, HOP, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and indoor rides like Pirates when it is the hottest and most crowded. I am planning for dinner at CP around 6:00 or 6:30 pm. After dinner we can do any attractions we haven't done yet or re-do favorites with short waits until Wishes. I am hoping Disney schedules a second MSEP at 11:00pm which we will watch after Wishes.

Are my plans unrealistic? Will we get enough of a break from the heat and crowds? Does everyone always take a break during the afternoon? If we are miserable after lunch we can leave and go back to our resort and return for dinner and the evening. I don't know if it matters but we live in Maryland and it may not be as hot as Florida but it does get hot and humid here. Thank you for any advice or suggestions you might have.

:thumbsup2I am totally impressed with how you have been keeping up with everyone's plans!! I know I couldn't do it! Great work!!

I had no problems whatsoever making my ADRs online the morning of our 180 day mark. I got my pic of any time I wanted for BoG (although we may decide to just do lunch instead of dinner).

I talked to a friend at work today (I teach high school) who just made her Fastpass+ selections for her March trip and said it was a TOTAL nightmare! She said it is a 6-step process, and she would get all through step 5 making FP+ plans for all of the people in her party, and when she got to step 6, she got the message that the "system is unavailable." She tried several times over two days, and she finally called Disney and did it over the phone. She was on the phone for 2 hours. She also said that the options that the CM on the phone gave her were totally different than what was online.

Hope this gets better by the time we go to do them!!

Hi All ~ Gosh I've been soo busy and happy to see all the new people and all the new posts. After much thought, as next year my twins will be in High School & my baby will be in middle school I decided to hold off on the WDW Trip..... To much planning and so much other things that need to be worked out. Maybe in 2015???
But..... My plans have shifted over to the Dark Side & if all is well we will be going on a Universal Orlando Trip this July!!!!!!!! I think my boys will love it just as much.
I will pop in here to say hi and spy on everyone's plans.
Happy New Year!

Well fellow Dis-Friend....I think you got a great plan..no need to deviate. DD and I love taking afternoon breaks, go back to the resort and swim, relax, take a nap, snack and shower up for round 2. We are also (stay until the park closes)

The heat??? I think you'll be ok... Sometimes to busy to notice but we are from Texas. Your state probably hit 90 plus 60 percent humidity.. IMO - about the same in Orlando in the summer..

Happy Mickey Vacation to you and your family.

Thanks! I copied these and put them on the front page. That way we have it on this page and at the very beginning. I am not the computer savvy one in my family, that would be DH and somewhat my DS. I am doing my best to keep up with this thread and happy to do so, but I may fall a little bit behind as all the new information comes in. Please be patient with me and we will get there folks. I will get to all the new stuff from today tomorrow, I promise!

Your Are Fantastic....:thumbsup2

I :worship: anyone able to have the courage to take on the responsibility of running a thread... I don't have it in me and the knowledge to even start a thread like this.

Appreciate you so so much...:yay:

You are doing a lovely job. :thumbsup2

And if you need any help, let me know. I am always willing to help.

Thanks and I will let you know if I need anything. But any time you have some pertinent information that we could use, please don't hesitate to post. This is OUR thread, I just happened to start it!

Thanks for the easy links to these on the front page. Truly appreciate it! You're doing such a great job with this thread! Thanks so much for all of your time!

Just wanted to second this!!! Thank you for all your hard work. :flower3:

All your words are very kind! I do this for all of us that way we can all get the most out of our vacations. If we want to do meets or see what everyone else is doing and maybe it might make us want that... All those things might help make someone's trip even better. If there is a chance for that, I will do it. And within about 10 mins after this post, I will be caught up with all posts. So if I have missed yours, please let me know!

To all - Happy Day To All - forgot to post this morning, reserved BOG for Sunday 13th of July. I know I said the group wanted to go to Liberty Tree but last night everyone changed their minds. I am so glad.... wanted to eat at BOG again. Dinner at 6:50pm. Got online at 5:01am my time, 6:01am Orlando time and saw plenty of available times.

Bob

I know how much you enjoyed BOG last year. I am glad that you get a chance to go again. :goodvibes

Ok.....so I am really bad with resorts this year and can't make up my mind, but today I finally switched things to where I think I am really happy. We love AKL and I just couldn't picture being on vacation without spending the most time there so we are booked July 28- August 3 @ AKL and then August 3-6 @ POR. Sorry for being so wishy washy. We always stay at AKL and we tried to do something new, but it just felt too strange.

Calculator for important Dates

I know this is a little older, but I always find this site helpful when planning ADR dates, trip pay off dates, etc. but this year it is also helpful so we can calculate our date for making Fast pAss + plans. Hope it helps someone.

Hi everyone. I will be in disney starting July 5th. I a staying off site and was just wondering what are my fast past options if any? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

By July Fast pass+ should be available in all parks to guest even staying off site. You will not be able to book fast pass + ahead of time though and will only be able to make them same day. When you arrive in the parks, there will be kiosks that you can use to book fast pass +, but again, you will not be able to do it ahead of time unless something changed between now and July.

All ADRs made! :-) planning to add on a night as well, but we will see...need to discuss the whole trip with DH first! ;-)

So jealous of all those that can make ADRs. We have to wait until the 29th. Oh well. I love to read everyone's plans.
