Finally. Here. After counting down from 400 days, it's here. We leave in about an hour to drive down.

Yay!! Looks like you're probably on your way by now Have a wonderful time!! We've been counting down almost as long as you, and my mom and I were just saying yesterday how some of things we talked about when we booked seem like SO long ago!

Yeahooooooo!!! Magical travels and have a wonderful time, everyone!

For those leaving around when we do (late next week,) good news.... A cold front will be moving through the southeast and we're going to get a slight bit of reprieve from the high 90s (not counting humidity) we've been having! I mean it's still supposed to be mid-high 80s, but that's better!

We checked in today at CBR. Great day so far. Received pixie dust when we we upgraded from a standard room to a pirate's room! DH asked if I changed the reservation without him knowing since we talked about it so the cm checking us in stressed it was a free upgrade! I was practically jumping up and down and the kids love it!

Well my Elsa doll wasn't at lost and found. The CM brought out a huge bag thinking it was mine, with not 1 but 2 Elsa dolls in it. I hope whoever owns them finds them and claims them.
I'm convinced it was stolen. Well I'll be buying my niece a new one next week.

I love reading these little stories of Magic. I was reading a review on Tripadvisor today, and someone wrote how CMs at Disney don't care about the guests. I know that's not the case, and here's another great example of them spreading the Pixie Dust.

For those leaving around when we do (late next week,) good news.... A cold front will be moving through the southeast and we're going to get a slight bit of reprieve from the high 90s (not counting humidity) we've been having! I mean it's still supposed to be mid-high 80s, but that's better!

That's great! It will probably be the complete opposite when I arrive. All time highs!

Absolutely! I think often people are so self absorbed and think if Disney doesn't bend over backwards to give them what they want then the CMs don't care and their vacation is ruined. So many people forget to just stop and appreciate the little things. I was reading the Frozen Summer Fun thread and saw that the CMs in Oaken's were calling bottles of water bottles of melted snow. I mean c'mon....that, to me, is magic. You just have to be open to seeing it

We are checked in at CBR. dd puked once before we left my moms, and once at a store stopping for gas. She has ate since and has done fine. I am hoping it was a mild case of nerves as she had a hard time leaving her pets at grammas house. She loves her dogs. We have also been out fishing so maybe just to much fun I truly don't know, but, her spirits are hi.
Love CBR. It's beautiful at night. We are relaxing in the room now watching a movie. Kids are hoping to swim tomorrow. Please pixie dust my puker I would be so sad if we have to stay put.

Wow that's great news! We leave Friday for Fayetteville, NC for our first overnight stopover, then palm coast, Florida the following day before arriving next Sunday at WDW. Do you know if the cold front stretches all the way to orlando by any chance? We will be spending the afternoon at Epcot next Sunday and it would be great if it's slightly less hot...not slightly cooler, because I know it won't be cool, lol!!

I'm so sorry to hear bout your DD getting sick. I can totally relate to this. DS7 got sick a few days into our trip in 2012, at night just before going to bed. Then he slept through the night, and the next morning I gave him a little plain bagel and some Gatorade and he was fine. I had walked over to the Dolphin from BWV very early in the morning. We still ended up going to Epcot, but we took it easy and at lunch at Chefs de France, he had just some plain pasta. He was fine. DH took the boys back to the room and I did some shopping in the WS. Then he got sick again a week later, right after we left WDW and hit the road to drive back up north, he started throwing up. This time it was way worse, and we went home a day early (we were supposed to spend two days in Williamsburg, but we just went home instead). Throwing up terrifies me, so that was really horrible to deal with on vacation. Here's hoping your DD is fine and stays that way. I am already having anxiety about that happening to DS7 again on this upcoming trip because of last time...irrational fear of mine.

Almost done packing we leave for the airport at 5 in the morning!! Super excited it's finally here!! Say a little prayer that all 37 people traveling tomorrow make it with no problems!!

We just got an email from JetBlue to change our flight on Tuesday at no charge due to weather... now I'm nervous! I changed it to the earliest flight possible in hopes that we will get out before storms arrive that day - I just hope the flight the night before arrives - as long as our plane is there, we should take off! So nervous! I hope everyone is able to get to WDW over the next couple of days gets there without any issues!!!!

although... those of you who are leaving... maybe you'll get stuck down in WDW?

I heard that whether Tuesday night is supposed to be severe. Hopefully leaving early in the morning for you will mean no problems. sending pixie dust that you leave with no problems.

It looks like it will extend down to FL. The date keeps pushing back. Originally it looked like the cooler temps would start on Thursday, but now it looks like Sunday. From what I can see on the 10 day forecast it looks like a difference between a high of 94 and a high of 87. I know it doesn't seem like much, but that 7 degrees can make a difference
