I am starting to rethink our Epcot day. Originally I planned to do TT first, then Soarin with a FP, and then the Seas with Nemo and the exhibits. We have a lunch ADR at Biergarten for 12:30 so on the way we would ride the boat ride at Mexico, Maelstrom, and hopefully see Mulan. Then we were going to continue around World Showcase and get back to Future World around 4:30/5:00 and finish what we did not do earlier.

Now I am thinking that after lunch we should leave World Showcase and go back to Future World. That would put us with several indoor attractions during the hottest part of the day. After we finish Future World we could go back to World Showcase starting on the opposite side with Canada and work our way around towards Germany.

The second plan we would be walking farther since we would have to go through part of World Showcase twice, but later in the day it might be cooler. For those of you who have done Disney in the summer before which choice would you suggest? Does it even cool off much before the sun goes down? It would be easier to change our plans at Epcot if it wasn't for needed to make FP+ reservations ahead of time. Thanks for your help.

Michele

We typically park hop but we have been in Epcot during all parts of the day so I can give you our experiences. It is hot walking around WS at 2 in the afternoon. But there are lots of places to go in so it is only really miserable when waiting in line for a character M&G or around the Outpost. We have also found it to be not as crowded in FW in the evening because most people have headed to the WS. We typically have dinner in WS and walk around or even park hop after dinner or Iluminations.

EPCOT does always pose that problem - we tend to do Future World at RD - hit all the major things from 9 - 11amish (or 8 if there is EMH) - then we will walk half way through World Showcase - and have lunch somewhere on that path - we will then take the boat back across the lake to save a little leg-work (I find that World Showcase gets so hot in the middle of the day) - we then tend to return to our resort for 3 hours or so to get out of the sun/take a break - and then around 4pm head back - we will take the boat to the spot where we left off earlier in the day and then walk back through World Showcase. If there were things we missed in Future World, we tend to plan to hit them on our second day that we visit Epcot. Most trips we do 2 days at Epcot for that reason. I'm not sure if that helps you - but you can use the boats to get back and forth to the back of World Showcase if you want to revisit later in the day - instead of taking a resort break you could easily substitute it with your idea of visiting things in Future World that you missed - Figment, the Living Seas, The Land... all have great things to do inside and out of the heat! :)

You know, I always forget about the boat...where does it dock? American Adventure?

FYI - was just playing with FPs and there was availability 7/9 for A and E. :-) not sure what times because that's the day we already have a FP for them, but just thought I would share.

When we drive down we always stop over in Florence, SC. So we are just going to get dinner then check in to our hotel. I don't remember eating at a Zaxbys but my DH says we have. Whatever. We just want cheap and decent and easy.

DisneyMomFanatic's DH here.

We have tried it. Christmas 2008/2009 I believe was when we did. Down in FL, with her sister, BIL, and our niece.

I don't recall what we had. It's a chicken place with wings, fingers, and whatnot.

Thank You sooo much!!!! Only 37 days to go:cheer2: I have a couple of questions for you guys.

The 1st is that I keep making the countdown tickers but whenever I cut and paste the link no picture shows up. I'm sure that I'm making a newbie mistake and was hoping someone could let me know how to do it right? Thanks!!!:flower3:

My 2nd question: On July 4th we have an 8am Breakfast reservation at CRT. I was told to arrive 15 mins early (7:45) and that I also need to allow about 15 mins to walk from entrance of MK to the castle. So basically we need to be there at 7:30. I'm a little concerned about arriving on time. Do we need to get a taxi or are we pretty safe grabbing a 7am bus? Is there a recommended bus stop from POR that would be the best one for us to go to?

I'd love your advice! Thanks!pixiedust:

I always thought that if you haven't made your final payment you can change pretty much any time. If you do it after the 45 day mark and it costs more you have to pay it immediately. But if you are doing the Magical Express, there needs to be enough time to get the information to you. I could be WAY off but I always remember that kind of timeframe. Hope that kinda helps. :confused3

Ok..we already paid off the balance..I guess I should just keep our current hotel..we are driving so no worrying about M.E.

I would keep this trip exactly the way it is. And start planning for the next one at POR.:goodvibes

I also logged in to look at how many days. 38!!! I can not wait. No Mickey mail yet. I keep checking.

60 days here.

Stayed up till midnight to make sure I got FP for Anna and Elsa.

So happy I won't be standing in line for 5 hours . :yay:

53 days until we check in, but only 51 until we leave for the drive down. Sooooo excited! At this point, I say we leave in 7 weeks from Friday. Is it too early to start packing? ;)
